Pete I downloaded a sample that after I exit out and go back into the track it makes a beeping sound as if the sample was never there and sometimes it will change to a sample I’ve already put down. Please if you have any advice let me know. GarageBand has been acting up for me even after a reset and reinstall.
hi pete i found out today you cant use a powered usb hub instead of a audio interface ,because a usb hub doesn't have a and d converters, thank you for your ur help, so now im looking at the redback audio face i wish there was a cheaper alternative,$130,my mac is under powered so i was looking at external devices, and not to taxing on my computer,
Yes. A USB hub will only send power and data, not audio. So you do also need some sort of audio interface. I think I’ve mentioned before that I recommend the Steinberg UR12 as a good all round option.

Another great one Pete! Unrelated question: Are you having issues with using other instrument apps with the current GarageBand in iOS12 via Audiobus 3? I have tried doing it with various instrument apps with no success. After setting an instrument app as my input and GarageBand as the output in Audiobus, this is my process: I choose, "Audio Recorder" as my instrument. After making a recording, I play back and there's no sound. When I go to track view to in GB and look at my new Audiobus track, all I find is a flat waveform - no sound recorded. Have you encountered this, and can you help? I've been searching for a solution for days. Frustrated.
Hello my friend. I don’t use Audiobus much at all so probably not the best person to ask I’m afraid. If you’re on Facebook I recommend the “GarageBand Users” or “iPad Musician” groups as great places to ask this sort of question.

I've played guitar for about 7 years btw but never study any music theory. I'm studying music theory right now ( music sheet reading, scale and interval ) but I'm not really sure which one to learn or how far should I go in each lesson. Any suggestion?

Every time I’m finished sampling a song and have it finished once I’m done I go back to where all my songs are and when I click back the sampled song the audio is just like blank it doesn’t save and it specifically only happens with songs i try and sample, they just don’t save 😭
Hey there my friend. Unfortunately you can'y transpose samples and loops you bring in from other places within GarageBand. You would need to use another app to do this, most of which are paid apps. Or if you have a PC or Mac you can use something like Audacity.
Are you using a browser which supports downloads? Make sure you’re using the browser I recommend in the video or a similar one which supports downloads.

Pete Johns yes it is absolutely a plug-in issue. Always says plugins disabled. I can’t even edit my vocals cause every time it optimizes my vocal track then becomes that of obsolete
Pete Johns basically all my vocal plugins are acting strange and my tracks keeps optimizing more then I’ve ever seen and all my mixes are in the green. No clipping. I have a feeling it’s the free plugins I’m using. MicSwap , DeEsserFX, and the make louder plugin.
Yep! Just go in to the “Files” app and located the “GarageBand File Transfer” folder in there and delete the files. Then jump in to “recently deleted” and remove from there.
