- HOW TO RECORD CLEAR VOCALS IN GARAGEBAND IOS
In this video, I will show you how to record clear vocals in Garageband ios and make a quick beat to write to. There is NO EQUIPMENT required for this process. I opted to plug in a pair of headphones to monitor my vocals. You can do the same or not use headphones at all. I tried to keep the video as short and sweet as possible, but there is so much to unpack with this program. Comment below if there is something more you'd like to see.

Yeah garage band is definitely a hidden gem that not enough people talk about when talking about iPhones, it’s even better on iPad, the digital instruments sound great once you learn how to use em and tweak em. Very user friendly, and if you’re off beat on a drum track it’s got quantization to put you back on beat. It’s amazing what a device that fits in your pocket can do

@@itsBreanaMarin Well, my inquiries are mostly mechanical (position of the iPhone, do you use a holder, how far o you keep it, is ti different for voice and vocals, do you ever use a pop-filter or foam). Those are the key details, hehe. Happy if you can share, as I need to do some pro demos for my trio this week! And of course happy to get the whole picture when you release your new video about these basic logistic things. Really, thanks a lot, you are wise, but also warm and a great communicator! ok - so you have got to be the first person I’ve seen just use the mic on the iPhone, that’s dope. I’m using a cheap usb mic in the car, you just gave me an idea, thank you for that.
Also, I had no idea that you could pull up the Apple Loops and change instruments and the loops still play, ANOTHER idea.

I just realized I have another question what if you’re doing this with an instrumental instead of making a beat as you go?
I saw another video where a girl was using one phone to hear an instrumental whole she used her phone to record.
I tried that but the issue came in was that I couldn’t get the instrumental and my voice to be on same time lol

Try finding the tempo of the beat and link up the tempo in GarageBand with the vocals. You might need to move the vocals around until you find the right counts
You can add instrumentals into the same work bored as your vocals ! And once everything is finished you can merge the two / multiples to become once track

It’s for her to connect her sound from her phone to her headphones. If you use regular earplugs that apple gives I’m pretty sure that will work out fine as well.

I think the adapter is for her to connect the sound from her phone to her headphones. You can use regular earphones without the adapterI’m pretty sure.

ngawang tsering compressors help with the volume, you can also turn down the volume on the track you’re recording to as well
I use iPhone earphones and the results are excessive noise
they have a mic, so I recommend using headphones that don't have a mic on them

@@ssilver500 your phone has a built in mic .. you dont need an additional mic on your headphones, and the mic on your phone is better than the mic on your headphones
Breana Marin so let’s say I want to record and I have a beat but it’s on my files instead of Apple Music, will it work? And also, when recording with the phone mic, can I use the headphones still to hear the beat or how does that work?
