Never had an issue with the rear camera on my 2017. I took it in for the recall, they replaced the harness and 6 weeks later i had the "cannot connect to the rear camera" issue. They replaced the rear camera twice and re did the wiring but problem still exists. They told me to call Ford and plead my case. AMAZING!

The recalled wiring harness went into production on Feb. 22, 2014, and was taken out on Oct. 2, 2017. Ford began using the affected cameras on May 12, 2014, and pulled them Feb. 28, 2015. NHTSA estimated 100% of the affected model-year vehicles to be affected.
If you have this issue, file a complaint with NHTSA at their website. Ford is restricting this recall, denying many who have this problem.

I received a recall notice for the back up camera a few months after I made this video. It is still working so I haven’t made the time to take it in.

Bro that’s my problem right now, it works in the night and early morning. Do you think it has something to do with temperature?

No. It’s the wires. Yours are probably just starting to break. Eventually it will not work at all. Mine did the same thing. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn’t. Then one day it just stopped working all together.
