    I do like how the new cinch will do the smaller ring sizes. I just ordered mine and chose it over the bind it all. New versions are easier for larger projects where the bind it all to me looks more difficult for use with larger projects. The bind it all only does 6 holes at a time where this does 12 and the spacing can be easily adjusted for doing the binder style planner pages. I can't wait for mine to come.

LOL I was searching specifically for an easy-to-follow original yellow square hole Cinch to see if I wanted to buy this one 2nd hand W/a LOT of EXTRAS or get the latest version, which I think they are calling Cinch2, not entirely sure. I watched a comparison video of the mini vs this one, which helped me decide I definitely want the larger! NOW I need to compare the Cinch2 & this one. Either way I go, I'll be binge watching your videos for help & inspiration! Thanks, again!

      Thanks a bunch! I am looking at the Multi-Cinch, as it has switchable hole patterns, but to buy the base kit and the cutting blades I want would be pretty expensive. I tried the Mini Cinch for cutting disc-binding holes, and I had to return it. You can see my review here: ruclips.net/video/oAhzMM6xFCw/видео.htmlsi=3f2UraAxCI3n1ldl

      @@LollyPalooza my pleasure! I’m so grateful for your tips & suggestions AND replies!!! ! I looked at the multi & had it been an all inclusive bundle, I would’ve splurged! I really wanted the heart holes, but I could not justify buying the base & all of the cartridges at like $30 something EACH! 😳
      Lolly, would you believe I just bought the mini? I was super sold on the same one that you have as I can do large, medium & small books! Very practical for me, but I saw a Black Friday $teal of a deal @39.99 PLUS an ADDITIONAL 12% off! I couldn’t resist snagging it for only $35 bucks!!! It uses the spirals not the discs. At that price, I can afford both the gray & yellow 2nd hand Cinch bundle I saw & the mini! Merry Christmas to me! 🎄🎁 Lol 😂

    Question? I have a calendar planner book that I really like I believe it has this type of binding it looks the same but the calendar is old and I no longer need it but I love the cover can I reuse it is there a way to open the Cinch Blinding to keep the cover and the dividers and replace the calendar with son that I make that update it or can I purchase a new calendar that will match up

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  6 лет назад

      If you can try to open the binding rings about the same size, you can add your papers and then put the whole thing back into the Cinch for the closure part -- the part at the end of the project. See if that will shut it up nicely for you. If not, you can use two pliers and grab the rings and force them together, one at a time.

    Hi Lolly! Firstly, thank you for all the great video tutorials -- I've got a list of projects I'm eager to make because of you :-) That said, I've been wanting to make a journal using my Cinch, but I'm not sure how to begin... how to gather papers and such that go together. Do you have any tips/tricks on selecting papers, how many sheets to include, etc. I realize this is probably personal preference, but I'm having difficulty just getting one started... any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Love and hugs to you, Lolly!

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  8 лет назад +1

      I tend to focus more on the cover than the inside papers. I know I fail at journals! I would just rather have lots of blank space in my journals to glue in memorabilia as I go, and too much decoration beforehand drives me nuts! :) However, picking out any paper pad that you like is a great start, because every page in the pad coordinates well. You can't go wrong with that. Your best bet is make a practice journal first, though, just to get into it and not feel bad if it doesn't go well. Use a cereal box, cut up as a cover, and cover that with your cheapest paper to make covers for your journal. Then just use blank paper inside, like copy paper. Once you've made that, you'll see how easy it is, and you'll start using the nice papers!

    • @jeaniet8648
      @jeaniet8648 8 лет назад +1

      Ok, I can do that! I've got lots of pretty paper pads that I've been hoarding so this will help me finally dive into them. And I've saved so many cereal boxes and other interesting boxes just for that purpose. Thank you, Lolly! You are the best!

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  Год назад

      I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking if the wires will fit equally in both the round holes and the square holes? If so, yes. Are you asking if the round coil-type wires will fit in the square holes, it all depends on the pitch (how close the holes are to one another).

      take a piece of paper from the planner and see if you can match up the holes using that piece. You can keep the hole placements written on that piece of paper in the planner when you want to add plain or specialty paper you can't buy from the company. I watched another lady do the same kind of process for her planners that have a binder. I do not have one of those myself though.

    • @LollyPalooza

      The strand of wires comes in such a long piece. I cut off what I need, and I always see if I can use up a small piece before cutting into a longer one. countrybunkin 1974 wish I could see it. Sometimes it's a bit stiff but you can lay the cover flat on table and rotate the rings a bit to make it work.

      Lolly Palooza I really think it has to do with the order in which the paper is loaded onto the wire. Some tutorials say to add the back cover last flip to the other side and some have you to add the papers and covering the correct order just like you would look at it. I tried adding the back cover last and then the back cover would not flip around I think I'm going to have to go to Kinko's and just have them too put a cover on it for me I'm sorry put wire on it for me. But that would defeat my purpose in buying this machine and unfortunately there are no stores here that teach tutorials on its usage. do trial and error I wasted so many binding wires last night. thanks for your help.

      I've never had this happen. I do put the two covers together then flip the back cover around. The joint where the wires join ends up between the last page and the back cover.

      I'd love to actually hold yours and see it. I've noticed that they are always stiff and require wiggling to get the wires in the right position once attached. I've had to sometimes push the closure to where it needs to be, between back page and back cover.

      Do you mean in the way of you seeing what's happening? It's hard with this camera angle to always have a clear shot.

    Can someone please tell me, what is the newest version of the Cinch, when I do a search I see yellow ones, pinkones, blue ones, and black and white ones....I went to the we r memory keepers website and typed Cinch binding machine in the search box and all that came up was accessories for the machine and not the machine itself. I looked on the Michaels site and couldn't find one, is this a discontinued item? Just to let you know, I am asking this question on other RUclips sites in hopes of someone answering me. Thanks

      countrybunkin 1974 the gray with yellow trim means it makes square holes. Gray with the turquoise trim makes round holes. The only pink machine I've seen is either the Bind It All (different company) or a sponsored limited edition, such as Heidi Swapp.
