This one is more than student soup. Ọ kwa enjoyment soup. If you cook this one in school and call your lodge mates, they will thank you forever 🤣🤣 Thank you, Aunty Flo.
Ofe Nsala and Okra soups are two of my favorite soups. Ofe Nsala is very traditional to me and my people. Thanks sister Flo for your great works in promoting our culture through food. Dalu ❤️🙏
Aunty Flo you actually look like a student 🙈 It's not only for students o! Mamas like us that have toddlers at home will also find this as lifesaver. Especially when you have a 5 year old who tells you she wants "Gerri and Soup" when she gets back from school 🤣
I like your channel. Am a new subscriber. Your standard of hygiene is commendable especially as it concerns washing vegetables in the market. I personally have never liked it or done it. If I am buying the achi soup thickener I do go to the market with my bottles of water and wash it thoroughly before grinding it. I spread it out on a tray to dry when I get home. I really think we should be mindful of these precautions to avoid food poisoning. Thanks for sensitising us again and for this wonderful students pocket and time friendly okra recipe you have shared with us.
Hope am not late yet cos I want to eat this sumptuous okro. I love that you explained why you used some of the things you used in preparing soup. I saw the effects of Hookes law when turning the 🍲 soup. Yummy
I genuinely loves your videos so much, your explanation and slowly teaching process is one in a million Keep it up and God bless Your soup is so delicious bcs i can smell the aroma from here 😋😋👌
That Uziza Leaves and okpehe will sure take this okro soup to the next level of deliciousness, I can almost smell it from my screen😀. Make more eba biko, I’m coming to eat 😋
Mehnnnn and this uziza is the original one. It's still very potent even after being in the freezer. The whole kitchen was filled with the aroma. 😋 Oya now, I dey wait.
Oya o, students get in here. This is exactly how we prepare Okra in my village. It’s safe to say this soup originated from Aninri in Enugu State 😂😂😂. Madremiya 😋😋😋
Hi Flo, You are indeed a good teacher and presenter. You make it easy and tempting. I really want a hard copy of the book, All Nigerian Recipes Cookbook. It seems to be out of stock. Do you have tips on how to buy a copy? Good job!
I just saw this comment after many months. 🙏 I'm sorry the print copy is out of stock and for now, no hope of a reprint due to the high EUR to Naira exchange rate. For now you can only buy the digital version from Amazon. :)
Wow and this is simply delicious and easy to make with a budget too. it does remind me of my student days and quite interesting too. I would go back and try this amazing recipe of yours as I did make mistakes too. More blessings to you my dear gorgeous sis and wonderful chef too.
Thanks, I'm actually looking for something different from what I used to do and I got it. I just want to add if lesson can be more short and precise next time. Someone like me don't actually have much time but I like to learn. If all ingredients are readily prepared and not included in the video, it can make the lesson faster. Thanks so much, I love what you do.
You are welcome. I have all types of videos on my channel. Just search "flo chinyere zzz" where zzz is the recipe. This type of video, as indicated in the intro and on the thumbnail is for beginners hence I MUST mention those things that you think are basic because some people need that info. On my channel, I cater to everyone so just search and you will find the type of videos you need. 👌
Ok Flo I made the soup today with your help... It taste good to me but I did taste some grainy taste... I think it was from the crayfish like you said maybe sand in the crayfish. My husband hasn't tried it yet... Not sure if he will notice. But I know where I made my mistake... I didn't soak the crayfish I only rinsed it and I didn't grind it up good. I did make a video of me making it.
I will try this one. My parents are growing occra. We don’t cook it like this in Martinique and the west African restaurants in Paris only do basic basic meals ( mafé, poulet braisé, plantain…)
From your step by step instructions to your voice .. I just love your videos and how thorough you are. Well done 👍🏽 The one thing I am guilty of is not really sorting my crayfish but then again I don’t eat a lot of it.
Mine is I don't always rinse it. I grind it dry. 😩 But I am meticulous about sorting it myself. The kinds of things I've seen in crayfish, eh? I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Thank you.
itokakwala = you sweet pass sweet 🤣🤣🤣 this is actually how I cook my okra soup on a regular. Quick and easy, no time for long things when okro is involved 👍🏽👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The combination of this uziza leaf and ogiri okpei has taken this soup to 💯. Roomie, I'm coming with my akpu sharp sharp 🤣, let me go and buy from mama oyibo downstairs 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️.
I think okro soup is faster than nsala oh especially when you're cooking nsala with hard chicken 🐔 🤣 I just have to try okpei in my okro to see the difference 🤔 this student is rich shaa 😅 love it
Nice one, auntie Flo.. I have never tried okpeyi and onion together in my cookings because, in my mind I couldn't just figure out the 'harmony' between the duo☺️
Ma'am you're cooking is wonderful like I really appreciate it and like I can even test the aroma from where I'm watching the video I truly appreciate it that even though I can cook by myself but I learned a lot from your cooking video I'm giving it a thumbs up and I hope you achieve more in the future , but how is it possible for a student to make such kind of delicacy with #2,000 please I would love you to explain more to us , because we students we know the cost of things over here in Nigeria and they are very very high since things are no longer as cheap as they were before , so how is that possible
Hello Flo a very good okro 🍲 soup. Well-done. Cut your meat smaller and add your rodo and oil at the earliest stages of your cooking. Quicker to get down and tasty. Well done. You cook and bake very well. Have a great day.❤
Aunty Flo I enjoy you cooking more because of your grammar. Tell us true which one you be student or professor? 👍🏼❤👏🏽because after watching your video the person wey no go to school will need to find dictionary to understand all the big big grammar o. As in the viscosity of the okra and more 🥰 overall your videos are very educative. Like I didn't know about the effect of adding salt at the early stage of the cooking process of the meat. Thank you ❤👏🏽👌🏾
I'm a science student 💃💃💃😄 I'm glad you learn something from my videos. Where applicable, I use Physics and Chemistry to explain what's going on in the pot because that's how I understood what was happening growing up.
Sis Flo, you are too much. That biscuit bone part is very correct and it's always plenty. You will think it's all beef but as you put your spone to scoup you will understand but it taste good with the bone marrow oil 😄😄😄😄😄. Pls remember yam and quick sauce. Good old days. We used to eat this and feel satisfied as students. Thanks for the lovely memories
I just finished cooking Okro soup, except in my case , i added removed periwinkle ans some kpalang dried fish. I tried to avoid additive seasoning like knorr cube or maggi. More crayfish ....😊
For real ooo! That's why I love buying ribs here, very tasty part of meat. The meat around bones is also usually tender hence the seasoning can enter the meat very well compared to the ones that are just thick muscle. Daalu. ❤
Please let’s get Aunty Flo to 500k subscribers. She deserves it. 🙌🏽
