Chris, Sam Peters here, we met at the Jacksonville Strength Camp opening. I’m designing my own program for rugby specific training. Now I’m a back(think quicker, more of a wide receiver kind of athlete) and I know that I need to increase my overall athletic performance (agility, acceleration, top speed, and power). I was hoping you could help me and the football athletes out with a more advanced video on how YOU would fit plyo’s into a program. Currently on the Strength phase of my own program but am going to be getting into the power phase soon and would love to start doing plyos before my lifts. I appreciate you and all you do for the athletic community, let me know.
Fucking great video. An in-depth video explain weekly volume and progression throughout the whole phase would be very beneficial. As well as doing this for the other 2 phases. Presentation should be similar to how you broke things down in your speed video
One on ultimate frisbee would be great! It deals a lot with explosive bursts of running and jumping together a lot of change of direction. Hopefully you could make one!
Great video bro. Yes pls keep this series going. And if u can tell rep and set schemes for phase 1 that would be great. And all the lower body plyometric exercises
Great idea!! Please keep going Maybe some tips on volume for non specific sports, general strenght and explosive training. Or if its possible to show the diffrence in volume between for example basketball and powerlifting. Thank you!!
Soccer phase II please. I need to be more explosive off the start of a sprint, when I’m changing direction & coming down from an aerial tackle. Thank you
Olympic Taekwondo Sparring. Athletes do a lot of kicking and I think a structured approach to plyos would be awesome to those guys that have to be able to kick and balance unilaterally.
Hey C barn. My favorite strength & conditioning coach. I wanna know if u do have a template like this but fpr building explosiveness for basic calisthenics like pul ups....
Great video bro. I am fast bowler playing cricket and fast bowling involves lot of sprinting and delivering the ball with a jump which puts stress on my lower back, spine and hips. Also I have had problems with my right hip and adductors due to this. I live in a area with low physio availability and coaches. It would be really helpful if you could guide or help. Anyways thank you for the video.
For football , in prè-season how can i program plyometrie and how can i start and with which composant (strength, power)mostly after long confinment period and there was a big drop in muscle mass? Thank u
I just don’t know what to do everyday should I do plyometrics first then weight lifting for my Vert or what cause I’m tryna gain at least 3 inches in 4 months cause I can already grab rim with one hand at 5’10
Do u recommend using medicine balls during unilateral movements to increase force absorption? Anyone answer idc who I just need some advice about this ASAP
Question for u : why not ? The point of force absorbtion is to make ur body better at ansorbing force. The more weight u put on during an exercice the more force it creates. So yes medecine ball is perfectly fine. But like if ur squatting use some weights lol its more challenging than a 15-20 pounds medecine ball
recovering from acl injury right now and just started doing depth jumps and absorbing force and unilateral. could you do the next few phases after general? or just plyo progression
Thanku coach. Question. Is it better to start jump training with both feet for a base program and then switch to single leg.. or start directly as u have mentioned in single leg jumps.
Vivin Vincent If you already have good stability, balance, and even halfway decent strength, Id say go ahead and make unilateral the main focus of plyos. Still do bilateral plyos here and there, they would still benefit you

overtimeathletes how do u teach power endurance for athletes in soccer for example or lacrosse
Great Video. Would you incorporate the same movements in phase 1 for all sports? One specific for basketball would be great.
Basketball plyo progression wud be awesome. Especially since it’s that season

Omg same here

Could you go more technical and program plyos for football (soccer) please?
Yes please!
Definitely soccer

Single leg shh (shit) 2:30 lmao
HAHA I noticed that too
Thanks Chris! I hope you include a short list of exercises for the next video. I am also interested in actual jumping technique: one leg, two leg
am i the only one who noticed how he almost said “single leg shit” but saved it last second at about 2.30 in😂

Awesome be great to see another video on the next phase !
An overview carrying over to strength training and being more explosive through the movement would be a great video

Great explanation, thanks for the video!

Definitely roll out Phase 2 please, awesome content
Soccer phase II please. I need to be more explosive off the start of a sprint, when I’m changing direction & coming down from an aerial tackle. Thank you
Great video Chris, but how many repetitions would you recommend especially in season with 3times soccer Training + Match day?
Olympic Taekwondo Sparring. Athletes do a lot of kicking and I think a structured approach to plyos would be awesome to those guys that have to be able to kick and balance unilaterally.
I’m a 5’5 hooper Chris, I need ALL this 🙏
how long this phase should take?
Hey C barn. My favorite strength & conditioning coach. I wanna know if u do have a template like this but fpr building explosiveness for basic calisthenics like pul ups....
Hi Chris, should I always incorporate plyometrics every leg day? If so, should it be before or after lifting? Thank you for the quality content.
Could you please go over plyometrics for basketball, tennis, and soccer?
More of these videos!!!
Ice hockey players workout would be awesome!!

For football , in prè-season how can i program plyometrie and how can i start and with which composant (strength, power)mostly after long confinment period and there was a big drop in muscle mass? Thank u
Hi just wondering the reasoning behind starting with unilateral jumps other bilateral jumps?
Ty very helpful
Hi Chris, how do you incorporate plyo with sprinters, as it is already very demanding. Thanks
How should I incorporate with weight lifting regime
can you explain power training for a hurdler in track and field
I just don’t know what to do everyday should I do plyometrics first then weight lifting for my Vert or what cause I’m tryna gain at least 3 inches in 4 months cause I can already grab rim with one hand at 5’10
In how many days should I day in a week.
Please can you go through soccer explosive
Love this 🔥🔥
