    Love the idea of using a pork butt for burnt ends! I should be picking up my 24x36 in a few months and your videos have been helpful in the decision to get one. I'm going to have to try these on my Egg in the meantime, they look awesome!

    Oh my gosh. Those look mouth watering delicious. Love when meat gets smoked so well that it just falls apart. That's the best!

      @@fam_eats_4850 I did some Costco spare ribs just to test temperatures, but they are nowhere as meaty as yours .
      Hopefully beef short ribs this Friday 😋

    I makes these all the time. Tastes just like baby back ribs minus the bones. Company loves them!!! 👍

    What temp did you cook these at? 250?

    • @fam_eats_4850
      @fam_eats_4850  2 года назад

      Hey George. Yes, between 250-275 until internal hit 165 then I put them in foil pans and back on the pit for another hour.
      Total cook time was 3hrs

    Looks great. Since they’re smaller pieces how long did they take to come up to temp before you put them in the foil pans? Did you just keep checking with an instant read?

    • @fam_eats_4850
      @fam_eats_4850  2 года назад

      Hey Paul, yes I checked them periodically until they hit an internal of 165.
      Total cook time was about 3hrs

    Look great, but I usually use the Head Country Apple Harbenaro bbq sauce.

    Lookin Good, I don't think I've seen pork butt burnt ends. I think your onto something, you can pick up pork butt alot cheaper. I think texture and flavor have to be great.

      I was really surprised by it. I think they are as good as any brisket or pork belly burnt ends.
      Your correct on the cost, my local Kroger has butts for .97 cents a pound this week.
      Thanks for the comment John
