@@TommyCubed WE all do it at some point in our lives, but unlike some we grow up and learn a little thing called budgeting. I love listing to my late 30's friends bitch about not having money making 60+k a year. They buy everything on credit and then what little they have left they spend on stupid shit like $10 coffees 3 or 4 times a day and so on. I ran the numbers for one of them and found that they were spending some 18k on little shit like their coffees and having food brought to them with a e-service and what not. Once I showed them WHERE their money was going and how to fix it magically they had more money than they know what to do with.
I went to a very pricey Trade School for 12 months (80k for it), I payed that back in just under 3 years working 50 hours a week with weekends off. For 3 years I lived on 15k and had room mates everything else went straight at the debt. That was at 23, and to this day I still don't owe anyone a dime. I save and put my money in funds that make more money. One of the things I liked about the trade school was they taught you how to run a business, and that can be used to run you life too.
I was homeless for 6 years straight. That all ended when someone told me to *just buy a house*

@@dearheart3433 It is idiotic to think that everybody in this world shares your local economic environment. There are countries where people don't have the luxury to just get a job. Sometimes there are no jobs or they don't pay enough. You can either migrate to another town/city/country and be called a murderer and rapist by Donald Trump or you can stay home and struggle. Migrating takes a lot of courage and is not always safe. You can also have internet and be unemployed. So you have a lot of hours to watch Twitch thots and not enough money to eat and it can be months until you find a stable job.
I hope times get better for you, bro.
I had my emergency funds drained twice since December and I’m barely scraping the surface of homelessness. If I didn’t have an injury lawyer, a job, or friends I’m 100% sure I would be homeless.

I mean, I am not sure about communism, but this corporate bullshit needs to cease. Maybe companies that are members of an oligopoly should be taxed more than companies in a more competitive industry. More competition, more innovation. More competition, less bribery of politicians, because fewer industries would have individual companies that would have enough liquid assets to bribe politicians. Encouraging companies to posses a smaller share of their industry could reduce corporate influence on legislature in general.

Most of the ones saying that probably haven't even entered into the workplace yet. They have no real understanding of the value of money. It's either given to them by parents or by the government and not earned. They have no concept of savings and retirement accounts. Fun fact: 7 years ago I was homeless, living on the streets of Dublin, if I managed to scrape €10 during a day I'd eat, if I managed €20, I would also book into a hostel for the night. While there I would watch RUclips on the provided WiFi. I can easily see how people can not afford $10 a month.

Yes, the vast majority of people *could* pay. Yes, ultimately it is the case that they don't *want* to. But there's nothing wrong with not wanting to spend money on something you'd be willing to spend money on if you had more money (which is presumably what they mean when they say they can't afford it).

I earned a lot of money as a teen. Mowing grass, weedeating, laying mulch, chopping firewood, bailing hay, painting houses and garages. At one time, I was making more money over the summer when school was out than my mother was working a full time job 40hrs a week at a nursing home!
