You need to be a professor teaching this good stuff for folks , learned how to find these things with just a map long ago we didn’t have good graphs, you are a great teacher my friend , it seems you have found your calling in this life. I would like to see you fishing on sundays with FLW trying to win that 125k good stuff.
Been bass fishing over 40 years and must say I have a lot to learn. Thank you for providing your professional experiences in such great detail. You have a gift and have put in a lot of work providing anglers knowledge to become better fishermen. Thank you
In my opinion, you have some of the best and most educational videos on RUclips. I’ve been fishing for over 40 years and you constantly teach me new tips and tricks. Keep up the great videos and thanks for sharing.
Such a huge help! Can't thank you enough for what you do. The content you produce is spot on for me. I got into bass fishing last year and have so much to learn. The info you provide is speeding up that learning process, not to mention making it more enjoyable. Keep up the great work!
Hello J. I am so glad I started watching your videos, you have a way of communicating your knowledge that makes it easy to follow along, you seem to touch on the right areas and subjects where some angles seem to struggle, I have and will be on the lookout for the next video, ps, I like the educational videos on using the graph😊, you are a true professional 👍🏼keep up the good work, I love the entertainment and education, BIG THANKS!
I really like the electronic video. Most guys are visual minded. I just bought a HB Mega SI Gen3. Looking forward to getting on the lakes with your knowledge. Thanks
Jonny, I would really like to see how you plan a fishing day, from A to Z. Do you first look at Google Earth, Navionics, do you have a map of areas you want to fish, then running your electronics and do you make depth finder changes on the fly or leave them alone? What are you changing on finder? What screens do you use, sonar/map, side or down? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
It is always awesome to see your videos and to learn the amount of knowledge you have when it comes to fishing. I don't know your age but I do believe you're young and that is a beautiful thing to know as much as you know about fishing I have shared the video and will continue to watch comment like and share
@@FishtheMoment you're blessed my friend to be that age and to have the knowledge you have about fishing. Blessed. I can tell you're truly passionate about bass fishing
Wow! Great info as always. This is exactly why I find it most helpful to just take a full day and motor around the lakes I fish to mark these locations before I just go out and practice casting my arm off.
Thank you Jonny, awesome video. You are a great instructor, love the way you break it down so we can easily understand the concepts you offer. Keep up the great work!!!!
Great video, it was very helpful how you incorporated the side scan images into the video. This video showed me I'm missing a lot. Very helpful, thank you.
What's going on, Jonny?...You are pumping out the content! Great job as always... Super helpful seeing boat position versus what the side scan is showing!
Great video Johnny! The detail you give is spot on... I’ve had several instances now where I’m able to identify what I’m seeing on my graph because of the tips you’re sharing. Helps out a ton!! Thanks bud, keep up the great content, TIGHT LINES!!
Ditto. Great info as usual. Excellent breakdown. Extremely helpful. Will be buying my first boat this year! Can use all of your instructional videos. Thanks Jonny.
Johnny - nice work man!!! I am not really a 'Bass Guy' but I love your videos! I love that maps and electronics are always integrated. A lot of what you teach can be applied to most fish. Would love to see some videos of other species. Though I know Bass are your bread-n-butter.. Thanks from Colorado
Fish the Moment binge watched all of your videos the past month and have turned all my friends to your channel! Love how you get in detail about everything! Your channel will be huge one day!
Just an FYI those gaps you referred to as bridges are more likely to be drive ways have several on one lake I fish, one still has gate posts standing and other 2 have foundations up the drive.
Thanks, Matt! That was actually Randleman Lake in NC. I misspoke in the recording. I'm swamped right now and am not able to travel, but hope to do so in the future!
Love the videos! I fish a lake where the water clarity is maybe 2- 14inches. How much does clarity dictate how deep fish will go? Is there a rule of thumb?
Thanks! Based on personal experience, I find that when the water has less than 2ft of visibility, bass won't go much deeper than 10ft of water, even in the middle of the summer. In 2-4 ft of visibility, they may get down as deep as 25ft. Any clearer than that and they may go 40+ ft deep, depending on the time of year. Hope that helps!
Fish the Moment THANKS SO MUCH for all your teachings!!! I had taken your advice on many things and got out of my comfort zone. Now, not only I have become a better Bass fisherman I have also gained a lot of knowledge about this species of fish. Your recommendations have proven to work for me. I have even jumped and created a RUclips CHANNEL to video myself, experiences and follow my progress as a Bass Angler. I recently developed my Channel Trailer. Please check it out and provide me with some constructive feedback.
Thanks, Mike! I normally use a 3/4oz cotton cordell jigging spoon in the winter when I'm fishing vertically in deep clear water and a 5" Strike King Flutter Spoon in the summer (not sure how much it weighs, but I'm guessing 3/4 - 1oz)
When you are graphing a road bed looking for fish with down scan, what is the best technique? Running parallel with the road or zig zagging it? My current fish finder doesn’t have side scan.
I have a question, do you feel that idling around at night graphing for spots is just as effective as during the day? I’ve heard of people saying that graphs don’t pick up as much at night.
Non USA. Here are many lakes, with trees and underwater bridges. For safety when dams are low, boaters tie plastic bottles to bridge pylons and tree tops. When the water level rises these bottles can be 10-40ft down. I got fooled (with lowrance hds-7 fish reveal ON) that one bridge pylon had fish at the top of the pylon. Realised after futile casting, that these were bottles not fish. This, I guess must happen in other places. Any thoughts?
Hey man what is the name of the app that you use to view the lakes in the past years? I am trying to use google earth but I do not see all the buttons that you had on yours. Thanks for any info and help.
U think that the bass will setup on a road bed thats not always under water. We have one that connects to an island that is only underwater in winter and spring then comes up above the water as summer goes along and water drops. So they obviously cant always live there.

Awesome stuff Johnny thanks for sharing. Your offshore knowledge is unbelievable. Keep it coming
Great info as always. Maybe one day I’ll get away from the close ponds that just show a forest of weeds on my fish finder.
