Brundle has always been one of the biggest Max haters and and says what the English want to hear
Peter Winsor can't blaim Max Verstappen.
Max didn’t move on his onboard, Lando ran into him
    Go watch both onboards!
    They tell the story.
It is shocking how much hate max gets for being an aggressive and entertaining racer… the British bias reinforced by the media and broadcasters is absolutely ridiculous and this narrative will be poison in silverstone. I’ve seen so many drivers make on the edge moves and the reaction is so different, Fernando Alonso is a prime example and there are very recent situations you could refer back to. Max is a generational talent and he fights hard, that’s why every wheel to wheel battle he’s involved in is so exciting.

@ccramit , you're talking about a time when the rules for overtaking were completely different...🤦🏻‍♂️ And if Verstappen is avoiding Norris for these past two races, then Norris is the aggressive dirty driver instead of Verstappen. You don't have to drive Verstappen dirty to win. These last races, the ones with Leclerc in 2022, and the ones where he comes from the back all prove that point.

Your argument makes my point exactly. If Verstappen followed the letter of the law, why did HE get the penalty? In which case, why not attack they way Norris did? It's going to be a crapshoot either way. Are we just going to gloss over the fact that Verstappen was weaving all over the place as well? If Max gets to drive like that, then they all do. Peter Windsor was spot on, do we want a situation where drivers don’t fight position and just move over for their opponent? Accidents happen, every driver has had these incidents and they happen multiple times a race - unfortunately on this occasion the consequences were more damaging but the point stands. Lando was driving over the limit just as much as Max was and wasn’t in control of his car multiple times in that race. To suggest this damages a 3x World Champion’s credibility is damaged because of what amounts to a racing incident. As for the grass incident, it’s no problem for Lando to do it but when Max does it he’s the racing equivalent of Hitler. Glad Cam is here giving an honest and non biased analysis of a situation that’s been blown up to build drama and suit an age old narrative.

The difficulty I have with penalizing the car in front ( Verstappen in Austria & Alonso in ?) because the car behind (Norris in Austria and Russell in ?) rams into them is it defies common sense.
The point is if the driver behind loses control of their car, which results in a collision with the car in front they are chasing, it is difficult to comprehend how the car in front is the cause of the collision.
In Austria they were on a road at a corner where the road veered left before it turned right where the collision occurred.
To say Verstappen caused the collision because he followed the road to the left before going right is non sensical.
These guys are competing for the win.
    The sport is F1 Racing.
They are moving at high speed.
    Collisions occur in F1 Racing.
To say today what happened in Austria is anything other than this is pure bunk.
Also, when friends are racing one another they both want exactly the same thing … the win.
    Friends compete.
Competition is what determines the win, not friendship, particularly in F1 Racing.

Max had Lando on a string and was waving a carrot at him and Lando took the bait as many would. Senna and Schumacher were also masters at doing the same.

Please don't go along with this horrible trend of posting an excess of content and the clickbait titles as well.
These remarks like the one from Martin Brundle are exactly the reason why Max has a complete disregard for any outside people's opinion of him (including all the F1 pundits) regardless of whether it is praise or criticism. He has said in multiple interviews that all means nothing to him, because one minor incident and those same people that praise you will then do a full 180 about your whole character in a matter of seconds, so he just shrugs it off. I think he has one of the healthiest attitudes towards this of all the drivers on the grid in a time where only the extremes seem to exist in people's opinion (not in the facts).
Again this all goes back to the whole present day reality where extreme polarization, drama and controversy are the things that generate the most profit from the (social) media fed masses. And most of us (because we're all trapped in that reality to some degree) are jumping on the crap that we are being fed like a pack of hungry hyena's, leading to an ever increasing level of general stupidity.

I believe the same pretty much. All penalties given during the race should be served NOW, ON TRACK.
There wouldve been no clash had this been the rule. WHY? Because Lando exceeded track limits before the clash, and wouldve incurred a 5-second penalty. This wouldve made going after Max totally irrelevent. FIA has given him 2 points on his license.
Lets remember Lewis punted Max into the barriors at Silverstone and couldve killed him, and all he got was a 10-second penalty.

Now he is on scrubbed mediums with Norris on his ass with new ones. First he was very pissed (que the Oh my God) and then the adrenaline and ultimately the racing driver took over. He knew that if Lando passed him, it's game over. There is no way he win that on a car that is equal (debatable) on worse tires, so the man does what he needs to do. Extend his lead in the DC, job done. Let's move on. Hope Silverstone is as spicy as this, love it. Cheers for the vid.

Watch a replay Max didn’t move a centimetre.
Then when Lando was asking for position back, isn’t that move the same as Max’s first overtake of Hamilton in Abu Dhabi when he forced Lewis out?
Lewis’s part of psycho fans are coming out of basements and they bring their past trauma and can’t wait to jump on Norris’s complains like “see he’s just a dirty driver”

The Formula1 Grand Prix World Championship caught afire during the decades of British dominance (1958 - 1976); which also saw The British Grand Prix venue 'Silverstone' become the true home (albeit unofficial), of the international sport of motor racing.
Britain has 'super' contributed some163 F1 racing drivers and 10 F1 Grand Prix World Champions:
    Mike Hawthorne, (1958),
    Graham Hill OBE, (1962,1968),
Jim Clark jr. OBE, (1963, 1965),
    John Surtees CBE, (1964),
    Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, (1969, 1971, 1973),
    James Hunt, (1976),
    Nigel Mansell CBE, (1992),
    Damon Hill MBE,(1996),
    Sir Lewis Hamilton MBE, (2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020),
Jenson Button MBE (2009) and 20 Titles - More than every other competing nation from inception of (1950 - to date) annual world championships.
Half that number of winners are now deceased: Hawthorne, Hill sr., Clark jr., Surtees and Hunt.
Absolutely not forgetting, the greatest British racing driver who never won a world championship: Sir Stirling Moss; 4 times runner up (1955-1958), 3 times to Mercedes team mate, 5 time F1 GP WDC winner, the immortal Juan Manuel Fangio.
British 'John Bull' spirit encourages belief that we do not believe we're quite done yet!
Please do excuse the unbridled air of 'entitlement' in
British designers, e.g. Adrian NeweyMBE (car constructors/developers, (McLaren, Williams, Tyrell, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lotus, Brawn GP etc.), motor racing engineering innovators/ entrepreneurs, (Sir Frank Williams OBE, Sir Patrick Head CBE, Ross Brawn MBE, racing drivers, management, motor racing centres of excellence (Sir Ron Dennis CBE) and self-promoters (Bernie Ecclestone, multi $Billionaire convicted tax evading criminal and ex-Formula1 franchise supremo).
Britons believe that we've earned the right to be 'top dawg'.
You will very rarely indeed, ever witness a British racing driver 'move over' for a rival when engaged in wheel-to-wheel racing. . .
So, accepting the challenge, unless you wanna 'step up to the bone', you gotta move over and 'let the big dawgs eat'!
    NOTA BENE:
Jim Clark jr. is a personal favourite and in my opinion, the true G.O.A.T., who had he not been killed on the track, may well have proved an immortal who would never, ever be matched.
He passed on in 1968, yet is still the only racing driver to have more F1 GP 'GRAND SLAMS' (8) than Sir Lewis Hamilton (6).

Bottem line, Max is a tripple world champion soon to rack up his 4th title..He'll be braking all records despite team/ personal shenanigans around him and what all the former 'racers'/psychologists have on him..
He is out Metally Performing any of them them, before he even sits down in that seat.. He is so much more then just a great talent, his Mental strength go's beond almost every athlete I've ever seen doing 'there' thing...
    He's pure class
    Pure Racer
Max 3.0 soon to be 4.0...
And 4 the record, I blame drs in combo with Lando's lack of mentality/ knowledge and him being pretty green in racing the greats in this aspect...

I think the thing that isn't being said enough is that Lando SHOULD have given more space.
Regardless of the rules, Lando can see that Max is already committed to the corner. He knows from previous laps that Max is making the last second move(he complained about it multiple times)>
So it is up to him to let the rules sort it out. Instead he decided to be more aggressive than the space allows.
His elbows are already out, he is already pressuring Max, there is no need to risk the two of them colliding to prove some sort of point.
He had the pace, all he needed was the patience.

Who cares what Brundle's opinion is. The rules state:
Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2b:
“More than one change of direction to defend a
    position is not permitted.
Any driver moving back towards the racing line,
having earlier defended his position off-line, should
leave at least one car width between his own car
and the edge of the track on the approach to the
    corner.
However, manoeuvres liable to hinder other
drivers, such as deliberate crowding of a car
beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal
change of direction, are strictly prohibited. Any
driver who appears guilty of any of the above
offences will be reported to the Stewards.”
Max made one defensive move going off the racing line towards the right (to cover the inside of the corner). Then he moved back to the racing line (his move towards the left) and left a car’s width. Seems correct to me if you look at the rulebook.
