+Matheus Capitânio There's a way to do it without ever hurting your voice. I had a voice teacher that said she knew how but wouldn't teach people that :)
She was getting her masters in vocal performance (more like classical/opera things). Her main career wasn't going to be vocal lessons. If I didn't like that kind of music then I wouldn't want to hear it coming from a student. No big deal, honestly. And if someone couldn't get it right away then they would be ruining their voice. I'm curious what the difference is, but all I do is think of a screaming child. I think you just have to have full lung capacity and be way open/relaxed. But I mean harder screaming type things, not Lzzy type things.
I love that more and more bands are using RUclips to get their music out to the public. A few months ago, I was waiting for the next Foo Fighters video. Now I can't wait for the next Halestorm song.
***** most bands don't upload their songs to their own RUclips channel before the actual album release. Most bands release a music video to a VEVO channel a couple of months later.
Halestorm is promoting the album's diversity, which I think is a good idea they way they're doing it. There's a line where making music too available will risk sales, some people won't care to buy an album they already have access to. Some bands go about it differently than others. But its always exciting when artists give some early access.
It is incomprehensible actually there is so much talent out there Halestorm, TPR, five Finger to girls singing symphonic in cabins (Minniva) she will blow you away, trying to be discovered. Yet we get the trash on the radio, I don't blame the singers its formula what sells to a marketing model. Talk to people about Tarja, Amy Lee or Floor and they go who. Thank God for You Tube.
If she was still relevant turning out any amount F new content that made even a small ripple in the music scene than yes I'd agree with you. A phenomenal vocalist but also AWOL.

Yeah she is got a beautiful voice she can hit those high notes low notes just screaming through the microphone one of my favorite bands these days now thank you for halestorm and thank you Izzy and the band
You know how a lot of bands maintain the same basic sound from one song or album to the next? Yeah...Halestorm doesn't follow that formula. It seems like they always manage to reinvent their sound in every track. I love how they take elements of classic rock, southern rock, country, blues, and metal and make them into something new and ass kicking! Can I get an amen?!
I totally agree, everything is different and works exactly for them to create something amazing and this is not the way I expected them to go but I'm surprised and super excited for the album now, its a great surprising difference musically from their previous records so far, and I will gladly go to many rock shows to come
Lzzy Hale women have improved the hard rock and heavy metal sound. Rock is not very popular right now, if Halestorm change to a country band and they would have multi platinum 😂. I have to say this song got some Carrie underwood feel.

Lzzy Hale I've memorised the lyrics for apocalyptic and amen! I'm seeing you guys in glasgow on friday I'm also coming to the signing at guitar guitar.
Ya know. All these people complaining need to learn a thing or two about artists. Especially musicians. Their "art" is based on inspiration, aka, life events most of the times and personal thoughts / opinions over stuff put in lyrics and music. Also rock is and will always be a rebel kind of music. Halestorm hasn't changed that one bit. Sure, they sound "a little diferent" but experimenting and change is nice. Sometimes it sucks, but I think their doing pretty damn well. Keep rocking Halestorm!!!! P.S. Every single word in this song is so true.
Like I've said before..love or hate it...this is Not a departure...it's actually going back to our roots and going deeper into all things Halestorm. So everything you are hearing is a part of us.
Lzzy Hale That's great! I can hear the sound reminiscent of the second album (first official one self titled) and so far, it looks like a killer album to me! ♡
Lzzy Hale This song is amazing and so is Apocalyptic. You're pretty much one of my favourite bands. I have to admit Mayhem is a bit, well not that much into it, perhaps I need to listen it a few more times :p But I like the way this new album is sounding like. I hope to one day get to see you guys live :) Must be one hell of a #rockshow , right in the front row _\m/.
Yet another beyond amazing, awesome, kick-ass and perfectly imperfect song by Halestorm and of course the one and ONLY Lzzy Hale, who is without a doubt a true rock goddess. One of the unique things about her voice and the way she expresses herself in these music videos is that YOU can see EVERYTHING she is feeling when she sings these songs, and even feel it for yourself to a degree. This amazing woman pours EVERYTHING she is into her and her band's music, and it MORE then shows too. You truly always touch this rocker's heart and soul Lzzy, right down to the very core itself. And that is something I know you will always do, no matter what!! Just keep on rocking sweetie, and thank you so damn much for staying true to who YOU are deep inside, and thank you for not being afraid to keep showing that true self to the world either!!! Love you guys!!!
+Michael Werbovetz (81GMC2500) - Because it is crap? Boring, repetitive, the whole album is a Nickleback album that gets slightly better only thanks to Lzzy voice but honestly this is just a nice boxed product to sell, there's no art, no passion, no soul. Fans will like everything they do no matter what, other people will love it because it is basically pop with guitars, who likes rock\metal will delete Halestorm by any playlist from time being.
Nat Sax I did, honestly first two album were nice, into the wild life on the other hand is not so good. A well executed homework, something easy to listen in melodies and structures that would sell well on a large demographic including non hard rock\metal oriented, nothing to be impressed by. If nickleback sounds too harsh for you then 2000 ongoing Bon Jovi is another good parallel. But hey, this is just how it sounds to me, someone who has been to more metal festivals than birthday parties, so opinions may differ largely.
This album is very interesting, blending bluesy and heavy style with agressive vocals and some harmonized melodies that I love hearing from you. Great job, modern and classic in the same time.
Lzzy Hale Thank you so much for the answer, you are awesome :) I discovered your band last year and my girlfriend and I used to listen to your songs all the time while we were together, but love bites ;) Hope you come to Croatia or somewhere near, I'd love to hear you live!
What a sound! A voice. What a woman! To all those stuck in a time warp fellas like my ex who think women can’t be rock singers....shows what you know! Sweet f.a.
Came here to watch an Alestorm vieo. Didn't notice the little difference in the name when I clicked it. Stayed here for the music. Man that woman has one nasty dirrty voice (ment in a positve way!), awesome!
I hope the band reads this. Y'all have officially taken the number one place in my list if favorite bands. Believe me... that's a tough list to get in let alone number 1 spot.
One day I look forward to seeing you in concert and meeting you. Your music gets me thru my depression and other shit that goes on in my head. AMEN!!!! you rock
Wow, I somehow managed to catch this as one of the first people. And I'm not one to just call 'first' on a video like some people might, I am just appreciating my luck. Rock on Halestorm!
I stumbled on this band the other day, And i was blown away. This is not my normal music style but something clicked.. I am so sad i didn't here about them years ago
I just love the sound of Lizzy voice, is like she has such a strong voice she never seems to amaze me! For instance, when she done that duet with Sebastian Bach from skid row her voice just gave me chills, and it's not easy to hang with Bach himself!
I've never driven a school bus and never will. I work with kids with behavioral disabilities. Its easy street compared to bus drivers. They are the true hero's no one talks about.
Love the Jagermeister shots in the video. miss taking those with my friends 35 years ago. We were in Milo Butterfingers and Keith said "let's do some jager shots" and rob said "no" and I said, we'll, hell, i won't make you shoot alone, and rob said, "and i won't be alone!" lol, so we all took jager shots ;)
People who think this song is Halestorm making "Christian Rock" need to learn what analogies are and how they're used in a literary sense (and songwriting is literature). They're using Christian imagery as a metaphor (which they also used in "I'm Not An Angel") as many writers do. "Locked Out of Heaven" by Bruno Mars is also not a Christian song. And given the lyrics "life is gonna kill / faith is gonna blind /faith is gonna fade / and truth is gonna blind / sometimes there's no reason / to justify the meaning" which paint a pretty non-Christian image of the world. They're basically saying the world is fucked up but they're going to keep on trucking because of their life/love/sex/drug/lust/grace/church (which, given their previous oeuvre, is almost certainly rock music). Now, as you may or may not remember, that world view is certainly more fitting in with Sartre than Liebniz, i.e. this song expresses way more of an existentialist viewpoint than anything approaching traditional Christian thought (though it certainly isn't impossible to marry the two philosophies). TL:DR this song uses Christian imagery to express a worldview that's more cynical than celestial. P.S. The use of the neon cross at the end is a rather cute bit of symbolism, they escaped from their 'real' lives to find solace in rock n' roll at what is effectively a musical mass. Their God is music, and that grungy building is it's church.
Well put! Thank you. Yes For the song lyrics I wrote about Taking Ownership of your own life. Because your god, your sex, your drug, your lust, your grace, your church or your pain...are just that... Yours!
+Asushlo Kudos for mentioning existentialism and Sartre in a RUclips post. Plus of course those things listed are general enough that they can be metaphorical about people's driving forces or pleasures in life. Although I would also say even if they were brodering on the CR, I'd still give them a chance. I like, for example, SOAD while not having their politics because the music itself works. PS Lzzy Hale Great stuff, as usual!
Funny thought ... "pop" is only a general term for "popular" music, and is a very loose term that's best defined as the type of music that dominates the commercial charts ... so if rock / metal became more popular and more prevelant in the charts then it would, by definition, actually have to be called "pop" as well. We'd have to find another name for the beiber-esque stuff ... any suggestions??
I'm not sure why some are saying this is Country....I hear no Country in this... Sounds like rock to me...Probably my favorite of the 3 songs that have been released so far....cool groove to it. I also like how all three songs we've heard are different sounding yet all still rock. Bummed I missed them in Buffalo last November....hoping they make it back soon :)
Yeah, plus music and individual songs don't always foot completely in one genre or the other, I get why some people label this as heading towards country but at its heart it is to land just cause it may not be quite as heavy here doesn't mean it is not rock. And from the original statement Lzzy said about listening to this album through, we can't do that yet, and without the rest of the record we can't know whether it will be heavy or not, plus they could be easing us into the difference in their music in how they have released singles of all different natures of rock, which I think is a great thing
My theory is that people have forgotten what real Classic rock sounds like. And really the only genre trying to bring that feel back right now is country. We went back to our roots on this new record..so technically it's the most "rock" album we've ever done. I'm in the UK right now, and these folks still consider "classic rock" a genre...not a past tense sound
Yes!! This is so freakin epic :) I love Jess playing the waitress 😜 She and Arj are so wonderful. I loved everything!!! This really captures our experience with you guys. Some of us work during the day, some of us have school, but then when we go to your shows, it's like rediscovering ourselves all over again. And we reconnect with those who we love and we share the experience of falling in love with you guys as a band all over again too. 👊 we strive to be only ourselves, we fight through the day, then we lose it at the rock show, ha! Love you guys. Thanks for keeping these days going, and thanks for doing what ya do.
Glad to find other real freaks out there. Respect! Hope there will be a moment when we all unite, write our name in gasoline and set that shit on fyiah!
Hell yea! I always tell everyone this, and Lzzard knows it too, the friends I have made through this band are like family to me :) we're always there for each other when someone falls and we don't let anyone hit the ground, we bring the good out of each other, we bring strength to each other, and inspiration, we go to multiple shows together... I'd be so lost without any of the people in my life now, haha! I grew up with a lost feeling of family. The shows are honestly always such a religious experience, I live for them 😻 I admire very much how this band has grown as musicians too. country, rock, classic rock, idk why people are always such magnets towards genres! Halestorm is Halestorm. That's what I love about them:)
Her screams in concert are mind blowing she's got one hell of a voice and I love it 👌
i saw them in concert back in 2015 in Oshawa Ontario Canada when they opened for three days grace and boy i was a huge fan of halestorm since then
@@patrickgrondines3994 3DG👌
That's why she wants an amen, she wants a heaven of a voice ;)
@@patrickgrondines3994 TDG is amazing
I know right!..just saw her in concert was BLOWN AWAY!!
I really dunno for how long she will be able to scream like that, but God, it freezes my spine!
as long as she takes care of her throat before and after she does it, she'll be okay for a while, more than likely.
+Matheus Capitânio There are metal artists who have been screaming virtually every lyric for years. She'll be fine :)
+Matheus Capitânio There's a way to do it without ever hurting your voice. I had a voice teacher that said she knew how but wouldn't teach people that :)
+Jen Hathaway What's the point of being a voice teacher and not teaching the techniques you know?
She was getting her masters in vocal performance (more like classical/opera things). Her main career wasn't going to be vocal lessons. If I didn't like that kind of music then I wouldn't want to hear it coming from a student. No big deal, honestly. And if someone couldn't get it right away then they would be ruining their voice. I bet she could belt the hell out of our National Anthem...... "AMEN"
She did and she was,and she nailed it ✌️😎
I love that more and more bands are using RUclips to get their music out to the public. A few months ago, I was waiting for the next Foo Fighters video. Now I can't wait for the next Halestorm song.
Thank you!
Lzzy Hale and thank you. I'm counting down the days til I see you live again in May at Lazerfest.
MOST bands from all over the professional spectrum have been using youtube for about a decade. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Here are the lyrics for Amen:
A fires gotta burn
The world is gonna turn
A rain has gotta fall
fate is gonna call
But I just keep on breathing
Long as my hearts beating
Someone's gotta hate
It's never gonna change
Gets harder everyday
This is one hell of a place
keep your heart from freezing
To keep yourself believing
But I won't run
I'm not afraid
I'll look em in the eye
Gonna hear me say
It's...
My life
My love
My sex
My drug
My lust
My god it ain't no sin
Can I get it
Can I get an Amen
My grace
My church
My pain
My tears
My hurt
My god, I'll say it again
Can I get it
Can I get an Amen
Life has gotta kill
Faith is gonna blind
Hope is gonna fade
The truth is gonna lie
Sometimes there's just no reason
To justify the meaning
But I won't run
I'm not ashamed
It's gonna take more than this for me to break
My life
My love
My sex
My drug
My lust
My god it ain't no sin
Can I get it?
Can I get an Amen?
My grace
My church
My pain
My tears
My hurt
My god, I'll say it again
Can I get it?
Can I get an Amen?
My life, my love, my sex, my drug
My lust...
My life
My love
My sex
My drug
My lust
My god it ain't no sin
Can I get it?
Can I get an Amen?
My grace
My church
My pain
My tears
My hurt
My god, I'll say it again
Can I get it?
Can I get an Amen?

To tour together
Orla Miller If that happened I would pass out from happiness
Halestorm, In This Moment, and New Years Day are all touring together right now actually
I’d buy tickets in a heartbeat
i would fucking die
I was lucky enough to see New Years Day, In This Moment, and Halestorm last night.
It was damn near a religious experience
amen sister
That guitar solo is soooooo cool!!! CAN I GET AN AMEN?
Ogień musi płonąć
Świat będzie się zmieniał
Deszcz musi spaść
Przeznaczenie nadejdzie
Ale ja wciąż oddycham
Dopóki moje serce bije
Ktoś będzie nienawidził
To nigdy się nie zmieni
Każdego dnia jest ciężej
To miejsce jest piekłem
Trzyma twoje serce od mrozu
Sprawić żebyś uwierzył
Ale nie ucieknę, nie boję się
Patrzę im w oczy, usłyszą jak mówię
to...
Moje życie, moja miłość, mój seks, mój narkotyk,
Moja żądza, mój Boże, to nie grzech.
Czy mogę dostać, czy mogę dostać rozgrzeszenie?
Moja łaska, mój kościół, mój ból, moje łzy
Moje cierpienie, mój Boże, znów to powiem:
Czy mogę dostać, czy mogę dostać rozgrzeszenie?
Życie będzie zabijać
Wiara będzie ślepa
Nadzieja zaniknie
Prawda będzie kłamstwem
Czasami nie ma powodu
By usprawiedliwić znaczenie
Ale nie ucieknę, nie wstydzę się
Będzie musiało być coś więcej żeby mnie złamać
Moje życie, moja miłość, mój seks, mój narkotyk,
Moja żądza, mój Boże, to nie grzech.
Czy mogę dostać, czy mogę dostać rozgrzeszenie?
Moja łaska, mój kościół, mój ból, moje łzy
Moje cierpienie, mój Boże, znów to powiem:

Like I've said before..love or hate it...this is Not a departure...it's actually going back to our roots and going deeper into all things Halestorm. So everything you are hearing is a part of us.
Lzzy Hale That's great! I can hear the sound reminiscent of the second album (first official one self titled) and so far, it looks like a killer album to me! ♡
Thank you so much for your kind words
Lzzy Hale Anytime! Thanks to you and everyone in the band for making awesomely badass music :D
Thank you so much for this song. It really speaks to me right now.
Another great female heavy metal artist.
Good god, this woman still gives me the chills! She's incredible.
Lzzy sos una genia mujer oh siii que sea rooooooock 🎸🤘🍻🎵
How could anyone dislike this!?
I suppose!
+Michael Werbovetz (81GMC2500) someone who thinks its a church song
+Michael Werbovetz (81GMC2500) - Because it is crap? Boring, repetitive, the whole album is a Nickleback album that gets slightly better only thanks to Lzzy voice but honestly this is just a nice boxed product to sell, there's no art, no passion, no soul. Fans will like everything they do no matter what, other people will love it because it is basically pop with guitars, who likes rock\metal will delete Halestorm by any playlist from time being.
+Rapp Scallion You hear another album of the band or just this song? come on! Nickleback, really?!
Thank you so much!! You've stated exactly what we were going for.
Lzzy Hale
Thank you so much for the answer, you are awesome :) I discovered your band last year and my girlfriend and I used to listen to your songs all the time while we were together, but love bites ;)
Hope you come to Croatia or somewhere near, I'd love to hear you live!
Absolutely love Lizzy's music 🎶 you guys are awesome! Come back to Michigan! Please!
this song is pretty cool. has a hard rock/country feel. Lizzy is so amazing! Best singer in rock these days!
More like Southern Rock.
Country???
What a sound! A voice. What a woman! To all those stuck in a time warp fellas like my ex
who think women can’t be rock singers....shows what you know! Sweet f.a.
Thank GOD for you 🙏🙏🙏🙏
A go-to song for whenever life is beating the heck out of you. People suck sometimes. Thanks Lzzy!
Don't come any better. On a mission to watch every thing halestorm have done, with prompting from the tube. And believe me there is alot

Her voice is crazy cool
One day I look forward to seeing you in concert and meeting you. Your music gets me thru my depression and other shit that goes on in my head. AMEN!!!! you rock
Amen
Wow, I somehow managed to catch this as one of the first people. And I'm not one to just call 'first' on a video like some people might, I am just appreciating my luck. Rock on Halestorm!
Congrats! #1!!
I stumbled on this band the other day, And i was blown away. This is not my normal music style but something clicked.. I am so sad i didn't here about them years ago
Lindsay B,
If you get a chance, go see them live. They’re amazing.
Miss storm. how the hell do you sing like this???? i love you.
Lzzy's voice is the strongest and most beautiful voice I've ever heard from a woman 🥰
I just love the sound of Lizzy voice, is like she has such a strong voice she never seems to amaze me! For instance, when she done that duet with Sebastian Bach from skid row her voice just gave me chills, and it's not easy to hang with Bach himself!
Perfekt
This is art. Her scream is art.
Her scream is iconic
I've never driven a school bus and never will. I work with kids with behavioral disabilities. Its easy street compared to bus drivers. They are the true hero's no one talks about.
Halestorm’s music videos need a billion views and more subs
People now don’t know what Real Music is
Levi!!!
AMEN
I'm trying so hard to comprehend what I just read, but it might be too difficult.
I love you, Lzzy!! Fantastic show at BRRF 2022!!
No matter what mood I'm in this song will always cheer me up and get me rocking...my personal Halestorm favourite
Love the girl playing with fire
Lived it...never gonna stop fighting for what's right! Even if I gotta do it All By Myself!
i wish halestorm would do a cover of bad reputation and i love rock and roll

That scream 2:17 😍👌💯
Yes ❤❤
lzzy has one of the best screams ever
I love it...love her🖤🖤🖤
Actually it is at 2:16 🙄
Very cool! Thank you
Well this is what im searching for a rock band. Strong vocals, nice lyrics and a tune that make my head bang
I can’t be the only one that came back to this song 6 years later.
Nope, still here; not going anywhere. Flying the freak flag daily.
From first sight im in love with Lzzy Hale
Thank you for this song!
Can someone give her an amen?

Yours!
Lzzy Hale you helped me with that! As I said in my letter, its my life, I see that clearly now!Ironic that the first time you played it was in Dublin!
I'm so glad! Love you Mikey! I hope you find strength in this song!
AMEN NIGGA
+Asushlo Kudos for mentioning existentialism and Sartre in a RUclips post. Plus of course those things listed are general enough that they can be metaphorical about people's driving forces or pleasures in life. Although I would also say even if they were brodering on the CR, I'd still give them a chance. I like, for example, SOAD while not having their politics because the music itself works. PS Lzzy Hale Great stuff, as usual!
Thx from Aussie :) I love
My new favorite frontwoman. It's her and Momson for me.
First time listening to this band ....... Already obsessed
You are taking the world by STORM, oops did I say that? Storm. You are incredible.
Best motivation ive had in years
???
Rin's Nightcore amen
This band really rocks out, I have really liked Halestorm from the start. I really like the new song.
Freakn love this song!! And how Fred moves on this video.... love it!!
"Amen" literally means "so be it," so, she's literally saying, "This is the way things are. So be it."
And The Lord looked down at His finest creation Lzzy Hale and said "God damn, I hath achieveth perfection!"
But why would the Lord use His own name in vain?
yes please give this good woman amen
Your music is so on point, and inspiring, CAN I GET AN AMEN?
I want to live in a world where this is more popular than pop music.
ale bart you have such a good point now.
I agree with you 100% me to
Your Waifu me to and plus I agree with you 1000%
ale bart exactly the reason why I listen this kind of music (and hardstyle en hardcore ofc).
Dam she's badass. Freaking love her
LOVE HALESTORM!!!!!!!!!!!
Lzzy Hale = Office Worker
Arejay Hale = Bus Driver
Joe Hottinger = Guitar Shop Worker
Josh Smith = Chef
AMAZING! Can I get an Amen?
1:35 - Hypnotic! ♥
People forget that rock has a major origin and influence from country so there are some similar riffs and feels but this is quite obviously rock
+lzzyhale I agree. It's very classic rock, bluesy sounding. Very organic.
Lzzy Hale I definitely hear that, I was raised on classic rock and I love your new stuff so much, I'm coming to the Southampton show 😊
Thank you dear!
You know it;)
Glad to find other real freaks out there.
I'm a Buddhist but I say Amen🙏
Loved seeing them in 2016 with Shinedown, Black Stone Cherry, and Whiskey Myers. It was a great concert.
This is like a mix of Country and Hard Rock and Halestorm really pulled it off!
From now til the end of time beth and joe are iconic. And all should respect p
She's the whole package
Amen to that! #punintended :)
@@amyli092 I second this.
Lzzy can wear anything she wants. She still looks hot!
fact
+Alexander Krestan lizzy in 8"inch heels and a corset ... :)
Lzzy can rock a fcking sack of potatoes for all I know
She could even rock a paper bag if she wanted to
Sometimes I wonder how people even put on these heavily ripped-up tights without breaking them.....
