He did a good job explaining it. But in real life, it was much different for me. After installing the app, and verifying the phone and country, and receiving the pin, i could not paste it in the verification screen because a GEMINI CODE was hogging my verification screen. That I could not get rid of. I did not ask for any gemini code. So it was a failure for me. Even after uninstalling it. Same thing, numerous times.
yea.. seems like GEMINI has an api that communicates with AUTHY on tge backEnd
...so when you setup 2FA for GEMINI, GEMINI should automatically insert it for you. (as this was the case for me)
once it did that....thats when i realized that " oh!, GEMINI must have an api that speaks with AUTHY"
so yea in cases like that it should have pasted it in for you..
unfortunately sometimes it doesnt work

Can't open an account. Impossible to use.
I never got a chance to do the registration part. The text came, but the input boxes vanished and took me straight to add accounts page. I just want to start over. Google not helping. Thanks
"registration part" ........When you say this what are you referring to? I'm assuming you're referring to the section when it sends you a code via Text-message? The app won't take you straight to the accounts page unless the code was entered into the app. What likely happened was the your phone automatically inserted the code for you. ( keep in mind that different phones operate slightly different than others when it comes to features like SMS-codes.
So in that case you may not need to start over. However if you still want to start over, then i recommend you FIRST , create a backup password using the instructions provided in the video and... WRITE IT DOWN.... I say this because now that you already have an account, The Authy Servers already have your account ATTACHED to your cell number....... so if you uninstall the application and reinstall it....that means that technically you will be "RESTORING" your account...and at the time of me writing this comment, the only way to restore your account is to use your BackUp password. -- Good luck.
I unistalled and tried again before I got a chance to read your comment. It did the same thing again. So I will try the backup password, cause I haven't went any further. Assuming it's like you said, it inputs the code automatically. Thanks

I was wanting to know if my old number is deactivated and i have a new number. Because my twitch account has 2FA actived with the old number. Can I still deactivated 2FA on my account with whatsapp? I hope this makes sense to answer 😔
if you twitch account is attached to your old number, there is now way to get it back.. you will need to reach out to twitch support to see if they can help.

I installed Authy yesterday and I never had to type in the code I got by SMS to verify my phone number which is really strange. I do have a blue verified check icon next to my email but not my phone number. Is that normal?
It automatically reads the code from your SMS depending on your smartphone settings.

When you say Add a "key", what are you referring to?
When creating a account i need to verify my email and phone number my email is always okay veryfing but when phone number it never works they dont send me the code
I have same issue but someone recommended me to #Justice_Techz he got my account back successfully

@T.Renee - Few Questions: Did you secure the account as demonstrated in the video? Or are you stuck at the section after you enter your phone number?..It sounds like its asking you to add an account. If you did not secure the account yet, then you should be able to skip that part and proceed accordingly. Let me know.

Does authy take a long time to lock screen and ask for pin? My one takes more than 2 minutes? Is this normal? It works but just takes a long time to lock the screen.
