Total War on a controller - proof of concept?

Testing playing total war: warhammer 3 using a controller. I do not know why this works.

0:00 - Campaign map
1:43 - Loading screen (analog stick tests)
2:22 - Battle
7:05 - Loading screen
8:16 - Campaign map again

5:26 for complete failure to cast a spell because I kept mixing up the triggers
8:59 circle makes the camera rotate clockwise, but you CANNOT rotate it back counter clockwise, you have to just entirely loop around

If anybody knows a good way to record those "show what controller buttons are being pressed" overlays, it would be greatly appreciated!

They(CA) can make console edition with keyboard and mouse support only if that's the problem

You know those touchpads you get on laptops? I'm surprised they haven't been integrated into games controllers yet.

The funny thing is that ps4 controllers DO have them

Playstation does, some games use it for their menus but personally I hate it. Might be good for total war though, but probably not since total war requires holding and dragging. Maybe holding a face button and the center pad?
