I was actually considering the Russian Bear tents for my next tent but had to dismiss them because of the cost, I don’t mind paying a couple hundred dollars for a tent but mentally wince at a thousand or more…. No matter how well they are made or what the company swears by, the price will almost always make me cringe….
Dead on accurate!!! I kind of played the middle ground on a tent that can also be used when it’s warmer too…but as for bitter cold winter it can’t touch an Arctic Oven. I suppose that I’m guilty of trying to do too much with ONE tent, but I’m not exactly rich and these things are pricy, the one I got cost me $2000 so now I feel pot committed to it.
So the choices are to support war criminals or in the case of White Duck, a company with a bad reputation for customer service. Alright then. Or you can use a tent that's all inflatable and I can see quite clearly why that would be a problem. Mainly that if it springs a leak you need to be able to fix it right away or sleep in your car. It seems to me that these inflatable tents will have the longevity of pool floats. Probably will go bad rapidly due to sun exposure.
