      Can a uv ozone be used on skin?
      Do ozone generators that you can use for water work on hot water?
      How long should you ozonate a gallon of water to get it to be strong how long does the ozone stay in the water_? Could it be used to maybe wash your hair to help if you have any fungus?
      Thank you in advance for any advice.

    Is there a concern of using an ozonator with bromine and producing bromate? (I’m in a steep learning curve and trying to keep it all straight in my head)

    Having replaced my ozonator multiple times over the years it's a guess if it's still working or not. The unit in located inside the spa cabinet and you can't see if the light on the unit is lit. PIA. Units should come with a cord so you can mount the light outside the spa cover.

      There are ozone generator kits that come with a length of fiber optic cord. One end is inserted into the ozonator near the light and the other leads to a lens that mounts thru the outer cabinet wall. If the ozonator has power and is working then you can see the light from the outside in the lens; no light = not working.

    Should I still be keeping my ph and alkaline levels at the same level as I would for a hot tub without an uv ozonator?

    As a long-time spa owner in Florida I have found that the CD type generators have never worked well for me. Not only is the high humidity an issue, but the CD chip inside the ozonator itself is prone to getting covered over by dirt leftover when the ambient oxygen is broken down out of the intake air. CD ozonators always seem to start out strong, but in three months the amount of ozone I have found they produced is down by half, and in a year the ozone production is near or at zero due to this issue. At that point it's either clean the chip (if possible), replace the chip (again, if possible) or replace the entire ozonator.
    On the flip side, UV ozonators typically last 2+ years and generate just as much ozone on their last day before the UV light burns out as on their first day when brand new. The cost/benefit of a longer life and more consistent ozone level is the reason why I only use UV ozone generators.

    No way! I saw your brewery build video. What are the chances of finding you in 2 unrelated RUclips searches!

    I would have thought that I’d see a slower drop in free chlorine levels after installing an ozonator, if it was essentially taking care of some of the contaminants that chlorine would normally bind to, but I’ve seen no difference in the amount of chemicals needed to maintain a given concentration of free chlorine. Is this normal? New CD ozonator, confirmed ozone production with a color-change kit, bubbles coming through just fine, check valve is brand new, not a humid climate.

    @swimuniversity - can you do a segment on AOP systems for pools as these systems are gaining a lot more popularity. i'm planning on running an AOP-S system (25k gallons limit) with a chlorine pool

    Can a faulty ozonator create a ground fault?

    • @SwimUniversity
      @SwimUniversity  3 года назад +3

      Hi! Yes, loose and damaged wiring or faulty components can trip your breaker. And if your ozonator is flooded, that can do it too. Here's a video with more information: ruclips.net/video/LDjcSw2ApEg/видео.html

    Hey I want to use an inflatable hot tub at my airbnb. And I was thinking an ozone system would be good. But I can't find one for an inflatable system. Any suggestions
