I've came full circle to this realization too! After playing Gary moore and SRV stuff for years. I now found anson's tone and am working on his refined simplistic fantastic blues style!

You just don’t see this level of guitar playing in the mainstream music genera’s. There is that verisimilitude that comes across with the blues genera that make it a pleasure to listen to.
