Texas blues at it's best with the Master of the Stratocaster, Anson Funderburgh. Got to see him twice with Sam Myers. Really miss Sam. What a spectacular voice. And a wonderful man. RIP Sam Myers. Thanks for keepin' the blues alive Anson. Blues to the bone.

I loved their shows at St. Christopher's on Greenville Avenue in Dallas in the late 70's, especially the night Willie Willis showed up and joined them.
Haha, Yeah they were great. But I'm laughing cause right before i read your comment. I remember bumping into Sam Myers the first night I ever saw him and he was like Angry and I was thinking we might get into it and I'm thinking, Man he's big but he's old, i don't want to get in a fight with this fool. Later another time we drank a beer together. I had already found out he was basically blind and everyone in the bar basically knew to side step his walking path.
The laugh was that it was somewhat a similar deal with Willie Willis. But we became real cool and I'd bought him several beers over the few short years I was glad to watch him play.
That lick at 13:33 is killer! Pure Anson, just an encyclopedia of great licks!
