Ka nui te mihi rawa ki a koe Julian, tino tika, pono, koi ou kōrero. Tino koretake rawa atu a Tama. Auē. Tama Potaka would have to rate as the worst Minister of Māori affairs ever to hold that postition. It's clear Māori hold a lower level of priority than his love of the party, and the coalition. He's a huge disappointment - and only gets worse as this coalition continues. Kei hea tona taha Māori, ngākau Māori, wairua Māori. Koretake

He can't answer the question because the truth is Maori have never ceded their sovereignty. Colonized tokenistic mowri. He don't care about Maori he cares more about supporting his white boss. He is a tokenistic mowri gaining for himself. If he was truly for Maori he would be speaking up or he would have spoken up earlier regarding the Tiriti principles bill. He would have left his place with national and joined with the late Maori King. He teka rawa atu ia!

It's not that hard decisions have been made to fund Math's, but it's the devisive approach to pit Te Reo Māori against Math's. Dick move!

Arohamai Julian, Maori while a treaty partner are minority. The class system entrenched in our founding is not going to go away with this government

    • @ame6719
      @ame6719 3 дня назад +2

A borrower being the minority in a contractual agreement with the bank has no less legal rights than the banks. a contract is a binding agreement , the size of each party is irrelevant in the context of that legal agreement.
FYI pakeha were the minority as the time of te Tiriti.

@@ame6719 Kia ora, That shows how much faith Maori had in the agreement that was reached and the treaty that was forged. They understood treaty, they already had their own. However, the establishment of government, changed things. Maori were relegated to a lower Class to be taken advantage of, punished to learn english, when the early settlers broke their necks to learn Te Reo when they arrived. The early english came here to escape their own Class system, only to bring it here. How things changed.
Te Tiriti O Waitangi is not related to banks. Its not about money. Nga mihi

@@dawnezone8491 not at all saying it’s related to banks, that was purely and example of contractual party size difference and the irrelevance, mō tāku hē whaea, I may have worse it wrong, the point was, it is irrelevant in the eyes of the law the size of the contractual party who has signed this the document itself , so even though Māori are the minority , by law that doesn’t mean a thing in contractual law.

He is very careful, in answering these questions, and Maori expect, answers to hear that Maori are taken care of, he is not in a position to confirm this , as a party member he cant. I do say his response is within party lines. as a Maori do I accept this,Kao but at least he made his position known. I know he was not elected into a Maori seat, so It is obvious that he believes in a National Government, so don't expect he will address Maori issues adequately. At least he doesn't say things that Maori are not indigenous.

You are right that Potaka got more votes than the others.
But what the hell is he doing accepting the role of
      1. Minister of Maori Affairs and 2. For Conservation when he doesn't care about either.
In fact he is happy for both to be smashed over by his government.
I feel sick just seeing and listening to such a traitor.
I care about Maori People far more than he does!!!
      About te reo,
      te Tiriti
      the disadvantaged, the disabled, renters,
low paid workers, the lives of children going in and out of school, smokers who generally want to quit smoking,
      Gang members
      Police,
      Teachers,
      Young people needing guidanc& support
      and tupuna.
Maori ancestors did NOT cede sovereignty AND HE KNOWS THAT.
He doesn't have the guts to say so. Why? Because he is crawling up Luxon.
I am in Hamilton West. Luxon has a massive support network to make him popular among the young voters. People are falling it.
For God's' sake!!!! Get out and vote next time!!! But not for snakes who have put this country back 50 years in only a few months. NZ previously had a great reputation in the world. This Government uis a complete embarrassment.
