No animals in the water, there’s just one cenote that has some small fish in the water which is the one where you can go snorkelling. Otherwise nothing else to worry about 😀
Thanks so much for doing such great videos about these parks . Love all your videos . I would like to know if I can take my 8 year old to the cenotes. He knows Swiming we’ll. Thanks .
doben tiapon Theyre all great in their own way, so it depends on what you’re looking for. I liked Xplor for the action & excitement and Xenotes for nature. Xel-Ha was a nice mix of nature + laid back fun. I can’t decide on just 2, so those are my top 3.
Yes, they picked us up from our resort/hotel which was closer to Playa Del Carmen than Cancun. When buying my tickets on their site, I just selected my resort from a list.
@@vlf0429 Good question, I never had that problem. Maybe you could select the nearest hotel and meet there at the pickup, but I'd suggest contacting their customer support to see what their process is.
The ride to the cenotes is bumpy and most cenotes feature optional jumps. If those don’t sound like a problem for you, then I think it’s accessible and you can have a great time enjoying the scenery and swimming.
How did this tour compare with the Xplor tour you took? Also if you had to choose one between Xplore, Xplor Fuego, and the Cenotes, which would you choose? Thanks! Great video and tips!
The main draw of Xenotes was the natural beauty of the cenotes and exploring them. Xplor on the other hand was all about fun and excitement. They're different and have their own charm, in fact we visited Xplor & Xenotes on the same trip and loved both, but if I HAD to pick one, it would be Xplor for sure. Thanks for watching!
We were at Xpor Fuego a couple of years ago. VERY fun!, LOTS of climbing stairs. (Up to zipline towers) but it was AWESOME! We're looking for something we haven't done before. I think we're going to Xenotes this summer.
I can't remember exact timelines because I wasn't keeping track, but I think we spent about an hour at each cenote, had a lunch break in between, and spent about 20-40 minutes driving between each cenote.
Out of Xenote & Xplor which one would you recommend more? Having my first visit to Mexico, Cancun in November & would love to go on one of these trips ! If you could help that'd be great! Thanks :)
Emily Waterfield It depends on what you want. Xplor is all about the action, whereas the main draw of xenotes is the natural beauty. Xenotes was relaxing and interesting, whereas xplor was just a day of pure action and excitement. We loved both equally, but for different reasons. So it all depends on what you prefer. Either way you can't go wrong.
In my opinion, your comfort and confidence in the water is more important than swimming skills. I visited the cenotes with someone who can’t swim, and they everything I did because they felt comfortable with a life jacket. That’s just my opinion and experience, I hope that info helps you decide for yourself.
Cammie Deboard Thanks! No spiders, trust me I’d remember 😁, and any kind of water shoes will do. I bought the cheapest pair I could find in Wal-Mart and they were fine.
Did you purchase the $9.28/per person insurance they offer when checking out on the Xenotes ticket link you provided? We bought accidental insurance through Expeidia for our trip.
I'm not too sure, I couldn't find it on the Xenotes website, but someone in my Xplor video mentioned that their weight limit is 300lbs, so I would guess it's about the same. If you want to check for sure, go to the site and use the live chat. Their customer service is really helpful.
The life jackets are strong enough for the average person and they have lifeguards, so as far as safety goes, I think you'll be fine. My wife doesn't know how to swim very well and she had a blast. As for your own comfort/confidence, as long as you can move around once you're in the water, I think you'll be fine, maybe avoid high jumps or deep dives just to be extra safe.
According to their site, the minimum recommended age is 6, but when we went they didn't check the age of the kids in our group. If your kid swims well, then you might be okay, otherwise I'd recommend Xplor instead.
Each individual tour group had about 10 people max. I believe you can book a larger group if you want, because I saw one or two large family groups as well.

did this tour in 2015 and had a great time
I watched your review last summer before I went. You nailed it! I had an amazing time there myself. Going back with my parents next time.
Awesome, glad to hear it! I’d love to go back as well.
I’ve been looking for a review on this tour, thank you so much, so fun to watch!
Great day, I also recommend it !!!
Thanks for sharing this very informative review Sina.
Excellent video! We're going on Tuesday and I feel like I really know what to expect now. Thanks!
Awesome, you're gonna love it! I'm actually jealous haha
great video we also had a great day in this park thanks for sharing
best regards MM on Tour
Thanks! I love your videos, in fact I think I watched a bunch of your Mexico videos before my visit! :)
Oh thanks, that's nice to hear.
Is there any animals in the water? Alligators? Snakes?
No animals in the water, there’s just one cenote that has some small fish in the water which is the one where you can go snorkelling. Otherwise nothing else to worry about 😀
Me and my family are booking this

Bobby Syed Thanks for watching! Yep, the minimum recommended age is 6, so he’ll be fine.
i was at it yesterday
Hi great videos which are the best two excursions Xenotes, Xplor, Xel-ha or Xenses thanks
doben tiapon Theyre all great in their own way, so it depends on what you’re looking for. I liked Xplor for the action & excitement and Xenotes for nature. Xel-Ha was a nice mix of nature + laid back fun. I can’t decide on just 2, so those are my top 3.
@@TulumToCancun lol thanks
My only concern is seeing without my glasses!
you mentioned that they picked you up in the morning, was this from the hotel you stayed at in Cancun?
Yes, they picked us up from our resort/hotel which was closer to Playa Del Carmen than Cancun. When buying my tickets on their site, I just selected my resort from a list.
@@TulumToCancun what if your hotel is not on the list
@@vlf0429 Good question, I never had that problem. Maybe you could select the nearest hotel and meet there at the pickup, but I'd suggest contacting their customer support to see what their process is.
Is this something that you feel would be accessible for people in their 60s?

Can you visit xenotes without having to get into the water?
Yea you can follow the group along in every cenote without having to get into the water, you may be missing out on the fun, but it’s possible.
Could you please tell me how do you get out of the cave xenote Tierra? Do they have to pull you out with cables like the way you go in?
arousss There is a walkway to exit that cenote. The rappel rope is only for getting into the cave.
is the link to the website where you can purchase the excursion still accurate?
I know the video is a little old, but the link and all the info is still up to date. Thanks for watching!
Are cenotes fresh or salt water? :)
I know you said this was an all day tour, how is the whole thing and how long to you spend at each attraction?
I can't remember exact timelines because I wasn't keeping track, but I think we spent about an hour at each cenote, had a lunch break in between, and spent about 20-40 minutes driving between each cenote.
I have a question. How long was your stay at each cenote?
I can't remember exactly because wasn't keeping track, and it depends on the cenote, but usually about an hour at each. It never felt rushed.
Do you have to repel down into the cave xenote if you do not want to?
James No, if you tell the staff they can take you in another way.
Out of Xenote & Xplor which one would you recommend more?
Having my first visit to Mexico, Cancun in November & would love to go on one of these trips !

sina92 Thankyou for your reply :)!
I think we're going to go for Xplor for the action !
Thanks again :)!
Emily Waterfield Awesome, you're going to love it!
I am terrible at swiming. Is my experience going to be limited in cenotes?
In my opinion, your comfort and confidence in the water is more important than swimming skills. I visited the cenotes with someone who can’t swim, and they everything I did because they felt comfortable with a life jacket. That’s just my opinion and experience, I hope that info helps you decide for yourself.
Excellent video! 2 questions: #1 how many spiders did you encounter? #2 what type of shoes do you recommend? Thanks for such a useful video.
Cammie Deboard No, I didn’t bother with the insurance since I had my own. If you already have similar coverage then I’d skip it.
Do they have a weight limit on the zip lines?
I'm not too sure, I couldn't find it on the Xenotes website, but someone in my Xplor video mentioned that their weight limit is 300lbs, so I would guess it's about the same. If you want to check for sure, go to the site and use the live chat. Their customer service is really helpful.
are americans really that obese
Is it safe for non swimmers? Are the life jackets strong enough to float if we don’t know swimming?
The life jackets are strong enough for the average person and they have lifeguards, so as far as safety goes, I think you'll be fine. My wife doesn't know how to swim very well and she had a blast. As for your own comfort/confidence, as long as you can move around once you're in the water, I think you'll be fine, maybe avoid high jumps or deep dives just to be extra safe.
Unfortunately i cant swin or else i wud definitely do this smh
You don’t need to be able to swim, you wear a life vest so as long as you can remain calm in the water and just doggy paddle, you will be fine.
Excellent video! Super informative. We'll probably book this on our next trip! Thanks @sina92
Thanks stranger! :) I hope you enjoy your trip!
How long does this trip take?
Rita Wu about 6-7 hours including transit, so it depends on where your hotel/resort is.
Is a whole day trip where the driving time is very long.
We found it a pity that you can not move freely in the park
@@MMonTour Probably because there are crocs around
Do they allow cell phones/gopros??
Yes they allow both. Just make sure you have a way to carry them with you in and out of the water, makes it easier.
Would you get a life jacket?????????
sofya Norah Pearson vlogs Yes they give you life jackets, and they have life guards at every cenote. You’ll be fine :)
Dee Bell Life jackets are included at every cenote.
How much did you pay
I can't remember exactly, because I got a discount for booking early, but it was about $100 USD per person. Totally worth it.
sina92 oh okay I was just curious I went last week and I paid $108. Yes it was certainly worth it.
Can I take my 4 year old?
According to their site, the minimum recommended age is 6, but when we went they didn't check the age of the kids in our group. If your kid swims well, then you might be okay, otherwise I'd recommend Xplor instead.
Nice review. Since the tour is spelled with an X I think it would be pronounced "eshenotes"
Xe in Spanish is pronounced very similar to Ce
Woah
Do you know the max amount of people allowed per tour?
Each individual tour group had about 10 people max. I believe you can book a larger group if you want, because I saw one or two large family groups as well.
Is the water cold??
Its cool but comfortable, you get used to it quickly.
