  • We absolutely loved the Xenotes Tour by Xcaret - And it was huge bonus that it was included with our stay at Hotel Xcaret Arte. In our opinion it's one of the must-do off-site activities if you're staying at an Xcaret property! Hope you enjoy - Let me know if you have any questions!

    I did this tour July 2022! It was amazing! First time I had ever repelled! It was scary at first but 2 seconds into my decent I was like OH! Not bad at all! Elias was also my tour guide and we all had an amazing day as a group . Would recommend 100%

      Since it’s always fairly warm around Cancun, you get used to it pretty fast even when the water is chilly! Also since you’re going in April it will probably be warmer than when we went in February but being prepared won’t hurt. Have fun!!

    Hey Sara I saw that you said you went in February, I am also planning a trip there in February and was wondering if the water was super cold or was it not too bad?

    • @SaraLim
      @SaraLim  3 месяца назад

      It was cold enough that I was relieved that I was wearing a long sleeve rash guard to keep me a bit warmer, particularly in water where it was shaded. But the cenotes with sunlight weren’t bad at all!

    Thank you for sharing. I would like to do this activity. But, I am not much of a jumper is it required to jump from high places to the water? Thank you

    • @SaraLim
      @SaraLim  11 месяцев назад

      The highest jump is the cliff diving activity, but you could skip that one if you wanted to! Ziplining activities will require you to step off from a height above the water, but it’s less scary for most people since you glide on the zipline instead of falling downward

  • @Ann-ominous
    @Ann-ominous 10 месяцев назад

    Are you able to just walk down the 'exit' stairs for the rappel & ziplining activities to get into the water? I'd jump off a platform or cliff but don't like being strapped into those things. Going to Xcaret Mexico for a week's stay next Friday!

    • @SaraLim
      @SaraLim  10 месяцев назад

      The stairs were really only used as exits, and I’m not sure you’d be allowed to jump off instead of zipline for safety reasons. Since ziplining is a significant part of the day, you may want to consider another activity during your stay if you’re not interested in it!

      @@SaraLim got it! Yeah, as much as I’d like to see the cenotes I kind of just want to swim in them. Probably going to do Xel-Ha instead. Your video and response were helpful, thanks so much!

    If you didn’t want to zip line were you still able to get in the water and swim?

    • @SaraLim
      @SaraLim  8 месяцев назад

      It might depend on the cenote! For some it seemed like the safest way to get in the water was to zipline into it

    • @SaraLim
      @SaraLim  11 месяцев назад +4

      If you don't know how to swim and that makes you fearful of being in water, I definitely wouldn't recommend going on this tour.
      If you don't know how to swim/float on your own but are not fearful of water AND would be okay with moving through water while wearing a life jacket, then you should be okay

    Great tour, im going in a couple of weeks, did you used a go pro? did you secured to the life jacket? what did you used?

    • @SaraLim
      @SaraLim  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I used a GoPro! I had my GoPro mounted to a waterproof selfie stick throughout the day. There was 1 wrist strap attached to the GoPro and another wrist strap on the selfie stick, so I looped both wrist straps through each of my life vest straps that buckled across my chest to secure it

    • @SaraLim

      I used a GoPro but there were a lot of other people on the tour that were using a waterproof phone case! But there were some activities where they advised against it because of increased risk of loss (ex cliff jumping). I strapped my GoPro to my life vest so this wasn’t an issue for me

    • @SaraLim
      @SaraLim  11 месяцев назад

      You could sit out of all the water activities and wait on land for your group to be done if you wanted to, but if you don't have other people with you that are also sitting out, it might be quite boring to be waiting on the sidelines all day. If this is the case I'd consider doing a different Xcaret activity or just relaxing back at your hotel!
