Hi Lani, I am planning to travel to Ghana later this year. I'm just learning about travel hacking. I am interested in traveling business class from NYC or NJ. I plan to check Amex and Chase to see how many points are needed for their flights. I currently have cards from each but not the ones that will get the most points. I am going to add the cards once I see which ones will give me the best deal. What are your suggestions? Thanks
That all depends on ultimately, how you want to use the points and what other perk you can benefit from with the card(s). I like the Chase Sapphire Reserve which has great travel insurance. The Amex Platinum is another good one for travel if you plan to book the trip with points and cash. I lean heavier on Chase than I do Amex, but Amex currently earns me more points for my spend.
