  • I ride from Isiolo to Nanyuki, at the foot of Mount Kenya, in Africa. The day is really hard, with a monumental 45 kilometers long climb to start the day. On the way, I meet several fantastic Kenyan people. Kenya is definitely an awesome country to visit.

Another wonderful video. However, there are a few points that require clarification. Firstly, it's important to note that Khat is not illegal to chew in Kenya 🇰🇪; the individuals in the video may simply be camera-shy. Secondly, when traveling between Isiolo and Nanyuki, the first Bantu group you will encounter is the Ameru. Meru County is not only renowned for the best Khat but also serves as the agricultural hub of Kenya. The Ameru people are the most distant Bantu group in Africa, closely related to the Kikuyus, but distinct from them. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that a part of Nanyuki falls within Meru County, and two-thirds of Mount Kenya is situated on the Ameru side.

@Yves Kino remind these guys of your RUclips channel so that they can understand your journey better since the limited Q&A can never quench their curiosity. Be certain you can hit 300k subscribers before you leave Kenya. I enjoy every bit of this, and always watching out when you drop the subsequent episode. Hope I'll meet you when you get to Nairobi.

"Simama tuone" and many other requests were mainly out of curiosity. Your bike is unique and they wanted to catch a thorough glimpse of it.

I love your videos @ Kino Yves, they really make one to just want to go for safari. Karibu Kenya, Kenya is a very beautiful country, with friendly people , warm and welcoming.
Let me explain about 'simama' - 'Simama' has 2 meanings
    1. it can mean stand up if you're seated.
    2. it can also means stop if you're moving.
In your case Yves you're moving, so they were telling you to stop so that they can see your trike.
Safe journey and remember as you go towards Nairobi, there will more cars on the road and public vehicles called 'matatu'.

I waited for that episode - going from Isiolo to Nanyuki - That was your steepest climb - from now on it's steadily downhill. There others not so difficult from Nyeri to Karatina. May we meet in Mombasa. Keep it up and Safe journey.

Yves ..Here in South Africa, I guess in Africa in general also, when we eat and people approach, we politely ask if they'd like to join in. Normally they don't because they can see the food is not sufficient for more people.. Thanks again for another segment. I love seeing how vast and serene Africa is.. Often we do not know what we've got as Africans...
