I have been watching your content since 2016, after I learned about your travels on RUclips, through meeting you and your mom in person, at VidCon 2016. I completely agree. I use Instagram primarily to promote my work and feel a constant obligation to keep my profile updated to ensure visibility. However, this need to post regularly ends up affecting my sanity. As you mentioned, these platforms don't care about us, so all this effort often seems in vain. I need to detach myself from this and other social networks that follow the same pattern and look for new ways to promote my work. I liked your content.
Hi Romina! I was just thinking about the changes in IG recently too! As an artist, it hasn't been that great compared to when I had my older account. I miss the simplicity of IG when it used to be about images. Now, it is about reels, stories, ads and the changes in algorithms like you mentioned. Yes, comparison is such a trap - that is one tricky part of social media, however, I too have been doing lots of inner work and mind management and it hasn't bothered me too much...but sometimes it can still happened.
The most important fact of any human person is to be FREE and when you are attached to any media your freedom is limited ….besided that I would like to enjoy the beautiful and artistic pics that you had in the past and you should have now. Try to create a way to show your art. You are an artist
I really appreciate your authenticity, Romina. I think there’s incredible value in having an authentic connection with your audience especially in a time when everything is over edited and automated. Having a slow following that trusts you is way more profitable long term than a fast following that’ll turn on you as soon as you change your content a little bit. Also, your content is so uplifting and relaxing unlike a lot of the fast content out there ♥️🥹
