some of the best battle reports out there, such good stories and pacing
Thanks very much! I'm glad you enjoy them!
You haven't had a bad video yet, absolutely love this.
Well, just don't look too deeply into the back catalogue! 😆 Cheers Grim!
Excellent Battle Report - very well done and a lot of fun. Please continue to do OPR battles!
Thanks very much Jake! Will do!
Im so excited to see these, I love these stories. Makes me wanna try and get amongst it too. Also I need me that ruler! That looks super handy. Please continue to post these OPR videos. :D
Thanks very much Dan!
Yeah, I need to upload the ruler, but I've been slack!
The files for the ruler are now available, for a buck, here: www.wargaming3d.com/product/folding-12-and-60-ruler/
Greetings from Puerto Rico to everyone. (This is for the algorithm)
Cheers Kelvin!
Love the character put into the battle report mate. Also, you sound like a kiwi. Hello from Hawkes Bay!
Cheers Courts!
Hawkes Bay! I hope you and yours are doing alright! Good luck from Canterbury!
I love the stories you weave!!!
I just mooch of the dice! They weave the stories, I just narrate them! 😆
This is just what I’ve been looking for, nay, better than I was looking for! Fantastic models and terrain, great filming and excellent narration! So glad to see some OPR AoF:S content!
Cheers mate! Really glad to hear it!
Really good, I especially liked the terrain, it all looks really nice.
Cheers Vitor!
Entertaining. Nice Szenario, is this also standard in the starter set? Will you say a few words about the set itself at the end of the series?
Like the paintjob of the hyenas (and the sounds). 😀
Cheers Nils!
The scenario itself comes from one of the mission packs (specifically this one: www.drivethrurpg.com/product/416421/Proving-Grounds--Age-of-Fantasy-Skirmish-Mission-Pack-1) Which are made up of the missions that get released as part of their Patreon.
Rule question - while there is a standard 6" move it seems you would almost always choose the Rush action (which largely make the standard move irrelevant unless the model is shooting.) You don't usually find this Rush all the time in most rules - am I missing something?
You've pretty well got it. I'd go so far as to say the standard move is a 12" Rush and anything else is unusual. Unless another rule affects you, you're going to be moving 12".
It makes the games fast, but it does reduce the tactical depth.
This was awesome recently got into war gaming
Cheers Kendrick, I'm glad you enjoyed it! What games are you playing? and what armies are you putting together?
Hey bit of a long shot question, but what size bases do you use for OPR stuff?
I use 25mm bases mostly, 30's if they won't fit and 40-50mm for ogre sized or larger.
Really cool battle report!
And an unusual objective too.
Those chad dual weapon hunters might not saved the day, but they sure did earn their keep.
Thank you milord!
Yeah, they did the work, but got stuck in a little late!
Oh cool. Rats vs Beasts. I actually had a beastman army for a short time. Ended up using yhe army as payment to get another army painted. Fun army, sad it got squatted by GW
Also just noticed you're not using GWs models. Where'd you get those? They look cool.
Nice! I'd love to get a "traditional" beastmen army together as some point. One day maybe.
All the models here are printed from One Page Rules. (www.myminifactory.com/users/onepagerules)
Where can i get those trees and other terrain pieces?
The trees were made using Luke Towan's technique here: ruclips.net/video/Hztif1KoJ-g/видео.html
The rocks are 3D prints that I found on Thingiverse and the long grass was made using teddy bear fur. Searching "teddy bear fur grass" should get you a load of results on RUclips.
I offer this comment as a sacrifice to the great algorithm!
Cheers mate! I hope the sacrifice is accepted!
And the ratmen stir the nest pf beastmen!
All they wanted was to do a little hunting, I don't see the problem! 🤔
Very cool battle report. Short and sweet, the small sound effects and voices do add something to the game. It is more than just watching rolling of dice. Keep it up.
Thanks very much Jerry! I'm pleased you enjoyed it!
Fun scenario :)
It was! It was over very quickly, but it was fun!
Nice!
Thanks!
Chris, once again well done! Love the narrative & great to see rats make an appearance. Can you make a tutorial vid on how you made that small bushes base @ 10:30 when Dr. Ratnick scores a hit? I'm loving how that looks!
Thanks very much Tracy!
The bush is made from a chunk of lichen, covered in glue, with Noch Structure Flock sprinkled on top (www.noch.com/structured-flock/07331/). It's definitely something I could make a video on, but you've got the preview now!
@@AshandStoneNZ Thank you! Your terrain is truly inspirational. That flock has an interesting texture, trying to decide if it is static grass or foam. I'm in the US and Noch & Busch products can take some patience getting here (always out of stock) but it looks worth it.
We have the same problem getting hold it it here in NZ too. I've had my eye out for the "Structure Flock" for a long time and recently managed to get some from a local model train store. I got a bunch of their little leaves too, which are another fantastic product.
It's got quite a different texture to the more common sawdust/foam flocks and very different to static grass (it's kind of... caltrop like?). It complements the more common varieties really well and adds in some much needed and natural variation to plant life.
@@AshandStoneNZ Noch leaves are great. Woodland Scenics Super leaves are good and a large choice of colors but are slightly larger but still perfect for 28mm.
Oh nice, I'll have to see if I can get hold of some. Was that Scenic Express rather than Woodland Scenics? Or am I just failing at search engines?
A variety of different sized leaves is a good thing in my book!
I really like the look of your Beastmen.
I was expecting to see GW Skaven vs Goat-Beastmen, this was much better, lol!
Well, I'm pleased to buck your expectations!
All the models are 3D prints from One Page Rules: www.myminifactory.com/users/onepagerules
Excellent as always. Nailing it with the audio lately as well. Very nice.
Cheers mate! I appreciate it!
I hope I'm not too late to ask but what models did you use for the Beastmen they look incredible!
Not at all! They are 3D printed Beastmen models from One Page Rules: www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-beastmen-army-bundle-1-215352
@@AshandStoneNZ Thank you so much! The more I see the OPR models the more I want to get a 3D printer lol
No worries! The 3D printer is certainly handy! Depending on where you are in the world, you can purchase physical prints, though it does looks pricey: only-games.co/collections/onepagerules
@@AshandStoneNZ Still cheaper than GW lmfao
Well, that is very true! 😆
loving the look of the ratmen
