Excellent video! The constant stream of narrative commentary kept everything engaging and exciting, and the combination of well-painted miniatures, pretty terrain, and immersive ambience and voice-lines helped to really immerse me in the story and gameplay. This kind of stuff of exactly what I look for in wargaming, and I'm very excited to see more channels popping up that play in that style. Keep it up! (Also, many compliments on the voice acting for the Elves--there's nothing I love to hear more than the lamentations of Elven ninnies as they get stuck through by their reptilian betters.)
A truly yet perfectly executed solo match of Age of Fantasy: Skirmish. Great to see quality content creators have at it with the One Page rules games. Hopefully you continue the campaign, as it´s really balanced and interesting. Cheers mate
Absolutely fantastic stuff, I`m really enjoying this.... narrative games like are always so much more fun and immersive. Just found your channel and so glad I have :-)
Absolutely superb stuff sir.... a truly excellent romp into Age of Skirmish. Immersivity narrated and I can`t wait to see this campaign unfold. Thanks for all the hard work putting this together and making it so enjoyable.
Jumping over here upon finding out that the Depths of Deepstone Delve campaign referenced characters from this one, only to find out that this campaign is a sequel to yet another one! Starting to get a feel of the immensity of the world you've created here.
It's been building up for a few years now! The early videos are a little rough but it gives you a sense of how I developed the style of the later ones.
Perfect timing! Really enjoying the One Page Rules content. I really enjoyed how you demonstrated all the actions and rolls step by step so smoothly through the campaign. I can't remember the last time I could sit fully engrossed in a battle report. I was convinced to buy a 3D printer by One Page Rules and I immediately bought the Saurian bundle with the massive discount. I'm about half way done painting my Saurians and I'm hoping to pull together a Duchies or Mummy Skirmish team list to print next so I can try this out myself. Can't wait till your next video!
Thanks J. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I'm impressed by how easy the whole 3D printing process is. It's much quicker and easier than painting the increasing pile of models!
You could dip into this with a Mythic style solo oracle, for decision making, even taking into account personalities through rpg stats. You could also use it for what goes on narratively between battles. Appreciate you taking the effort to add the comfy sfx. Cracked me up at times. :)
This stream of content, my goodness! You've spoiled us. Also, hooray for One Page! I will preach the good word of One Page any day. Their systems are fantastic and I'm so happy to see them being used on your channel. Looking forward to the next chapter as always!
Don't get used to it! :D Yeah, their rules are really good. I haven't tried the larger scale games yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Their miniatures are fantastic too!
Amazing game :) looking forward to see where this campaign goes. Barely got done painting my saurian army to start a campaign myself. So this vid pump me up 🎉🎉
I love these battle reports so much and the terrain is amazing i feel inspired every time i rewatch them. Is there a video of thw high elf and dawrf mission that is mentioned i would love to see that i can seem to find it on your channel if there is one. Keep up the amazing content!
Cheers mate, glad to hear it! The previous mentioned battles were part of the Silver Mountains Oathmark Campaign, specifically Storm of Arrows - Game 8: ruclips.net/video/Jjl4UMfXoV0/видео.html and Unusual Alliances - Game 10: ruclips.net/video/Lj2kxymqD2M/видео.html
"I know Elf Karate" the sound effects give them all so much personality (were the little guys making Jurassic Park noises?). Are doing the VA or is someone else doing it? Might need a female VA to give Kalana more personality if she is going to be the main character. Speaking of which, Kalana might need to change careers. Great vid.
Cheers Grim. The Gecko chirp sounds were a baby crocodile apparently! I searched online for various reptile sounds and used what seemed appropriate. The other voices are all me being an idiot with a microphone. I tried roping the missus in to voice Kalana, but she wasn't having it :D
I'm new to wargames and OPR looked promising. After seeing your video I was so hyped. I'm starting to print minis a game, and I'm planning on bringing the game to the school I work at. From your experience, what time do you think playing a full skirmish takes? From setting up terrain to end (With the basic 250p, so it's not that long)?
Nice! Welcome to the hobby! Depending on how on the ball you are, you could set up, play and clean up, in 45 minutes to an hour. Faster if everybody knows what they are doing!
"Stay back! I know elf karate!" I was dying! Lmao 😂
Very immersive batrep. The sound effects really take it to the next level.
Cheers! I'm pleased you enjoyed it!
Very nice dual biome terrain, good idea rarely see that.
Cheers! It just made sense to me.

There's nothing quite like poncy Elves taking a licking!

@@AshandStoneNZ Thanks for the quick answer. You just gave me the greatest news of the day. Now I have to finish printing and painting the minis.
No worries! Happy hobbying!
Where did you get the game mat?
It's scratchbuilt! I've made a video on the grass mats here: ruclips.net/video/TCcxZPk-Dp4/видео.html
