We hope you enjoyed phase 1 of this build! We'll be taking a quick break from X5 content to focus both on the 944 and some other series. Stay tuned though, the X5 will be back and be whole different monster!
is it possible to install this lift kit on the BMW X1 E84?
I'm impressed the transmission and torque converter put up with that! I'm more impressed by the idea of a solid axle swapped X5 though!
We are too! We worked that thing overtime!
Im pushing that x5 with mi eyes, when looking this vid 😅
Push harder!
I still think the quick-release kidney grille is my favorite modification…😆
Awesome series-ready to binge the next videos!
im a bit of a 2000's bmw fanboy .. controlling for that bias, i can say this build is awesome.
Just wait, this is just the start 👀
@@ecstuning bro, you were *not* kidding haha
you guys are why i love living in wadsworth
Well done Mike! I still think it needs underglow, maybe part of the UltraX5 build :D
Gotta have some hotboi status
Can’t wait to get some of these parts over to the UK, my X5 deserves it🤞
Hopefully they'll start showing up soon!
Hi guys, are you aware of any updates in regards roof rack production / availability? I’m holding out on a bulk order to the UK, and the rack is at the top of my list. Many thanks 🤞.
😮 my mind is blown with the ending... really looking forward to seeing where this goes!
It's going to be insane!
Awesome!! I would love to see some of this make it over to a B8 Q5?? However super cool build. Very impressed with the capabilities. Keep it up!
Great job with this build!
Thank you! A lot more cool things to come with this car 👀
Love the rig! Does a 32 inch spare fit in the spare compartment in the vehicle?
Awesome series! You've inspired me to start work on my 4.4i e53 x5 project that i bought 2 years ago for 1k. It's a shame i let it sit for that long smh.
This is amazing!
Thank you!
I did enjoy the “Street Fighter” bits y’all put in. Glad the X5 didn’t end up on its roof. Can’t wait for the next phase, that should be awesome.
Mike's already getting started on it! 👍
You guys are extremely talented . The whole build speaks of quality. What would a customer have to pay for all of this? It seems like over 10k in modifications.
stage two, bring it on 👍
Coming soon 👀
Can we get a Prerunner set for the E83 X3 as well? 🤞🏽
This thing is so cool. Mike did an awesome job. Is it just me or is the next step beadlock wheels and a spare tire swing arm rear bumper?
great project, congratulations ✌️in off-road you have to deactivate the traction control
This is awesome Mike , I’ve been working on my x5 for sometime now with the same vision in mind, unfortunately I’m not as gifted as you are in the sense of engineering my own parts so I’m stoked to find what you’ve created so far and excited to see what’s to come. I am based in California, anyway I can message or email you directly ?
I am astounded that that doesn't have low range. Gosh when you compare that to a 99 through 04 Land Rover Discovery series 2 or even a Range Rover P38 it's amazing that BMW even decided to release it and call it a four-wheel drive SUV first of all the Land Rovers both having solid axles at the time with lots of articulation but having low range and a center locking differential since it's normally AWD a manual mode for low range so that you can crawl around in second third or fourth as a torque reduction because first gear in low range is inappropriate for mud and Sandy conditions plus the traction control in the Land Rover is amazing you don't even need a Locker on that kind of stuff. I feel like that generation of disco and Range Rover falls in the category of if you know you know. I don't even see a lot of or first. Knowing a lot of what those generations of Land Rover actually offer make them pretty capable stopping and going in sand with that reduced torque was amazing. Anyways I just expected more out of BMW. The Mercedes G Wagon is super underrated at least in this country LOL kind of makes me sick when I see every single one with low profile tires knowing that it has solid portal axles traction control and triple lockers . But that's a rant for another day
Love your product line up. You guys wouldnt want to make the famous police front bar for these? They are hard to come by. its round shaped for underbody protection
Our skid plates actually offer a ton of underbody protection as is! They took a hell of a beating this episode and could take so much more
hate de voir la suite du ULTRAX5
Low range might help, but honestly if you had more power it wouldn't be a problem. Are you sure it is running right? I don't think I'd have the same issue in my sports diesel E70. Maybe it's the difference between the diesel and petrol models.
I'm curious how difficult it would be to regear your rig. It's really struggling on the low range and you probably dont see 6th gear much anymore huh?
Did you have DTC on or off and do you know if you hold it for a few seconds it turns off completely?
Greetings. Currently I am the owner of an X5 E53. And I travel on it. After watching your videos, I really liked how you made the trunk, underbody protection and winch mount. Is there an option to get drawings for personal use? There is no delivery of goods from your store to our country(((
I want bash plates like that. Do you know if they are in Australia?
I did some off road on my x5 4.6, very capable, but need a low range transfer box, traction control worked very good.
Phase 2 will solve that issue thankfully 😉
@@ecstuning L322 T-Case?
@@christophertice7664 I'm mounting one up to the back of my 6spd manual 😁
13:06 when in doubt throttle out
Gotta rev up the V8 to get it's torque. It's why I like 3 liter diesel versions more. Max torque down low. Not to mention the extra bit of peak torque.
Where can you buy the bull bar from?
Nice
Why are only the rear wheels turning? Is the transfer case blown?
Would it do better if it was a manual tranmission?
Combien ça coûte le kit pour suspension ?
Is it possible to do the same thing to the front axle as you did to the rear one? Locking the front?
That would help but be noisy in street
was tc on?.. neither of your front wheels were spinning and one was loaded and one was hanging so why wasn’t the hanger wasting all the power like usual, sounded like the truck was fighting itself as if going against it’s own brakes
He need to replace transfer case actuator
At 16:00 when you got stuck, I was wandering if you it in manual mode in first gear?
Yes it was. Most of this video Mike was using first gear
Well done. Next time get a quattro and you won't have problems climbing
The next time the X5 is out, these trails will be nothing for it to overcome 🫡
@@ecstuning I'll watch the video when you guys post it
Burn 🔥🤣
I think you dhould get a higher stall converter
🙌🙌
The GOAT's of shop chairs 🙌🙌
Do you know the math on how a 3.0i with that really short 1st gear in the 6spd manual would compare in that last situation, just in terms of torque at the standstill?
where in the hell can we get that air compressor ??
Wow wow wow
wow wow wow indeed 🙌
Where is this you guys are off roading at
It's a secret 😉
if anyone finds out it would be awesome to know
It appears that your traction control was on that’s why the loss of power down low
That thing only on rwd never saw front tires pull
I have an E70 X5 I could do this too....Parts?
Should have done this with a 35D
Круто💪
Looks like Eatna mountian
Almost seems like it wasnt in first gear when you were trying to get up the hill. You said your foot was to the floor and it has no power. Or you had traction control on and its limiting it.
It realy needs to be lifted higher and a lot better tyres
I wheel a Jeep Wrangler, I am impressed by the X5 😂
As long as we have the Jeep communities approval 🙌
It really needs a low range transfer case.
That's what phase 2 is for 👀
guys im confused, it is a v8 4.4 right? So why the poor performance on the hill? it should jump right away..
Dommage le 4.4 est mort il a même plus de force ça patine même pas 🤔🤔
i been begging you guys to make offroad bumpers for the x5 but ya'll paid me no attention. look what happen at 18:00.
We really wanted to! Mike actually explained in a previous episode why he never developed one which can be found here: ruclips.net/video/zkA_mzC46fk/видео.html
