- In Paris, Thor is busy taking selfies with other partygoers until Frost Giant Loki with his bodyguard arrives. They cheerfully greet each other and declare themselves brothers forever. Meanwhile, a shooting star falls from the sky and slams into the street near them. It appears to be Captain Marvel who tells Thor to clean up the mess and leave Earth.
Thor refuses and tells her to buzz off, making her punch him in the face. Soon he recovers and calls Captain Marvel a party-pooper and gets another punch. Quickly, he returns and hits her with Mjölnir and summons a windstorm, then hits her again, knocking her to Stonehenge.
Thor follows Captain Marvel and tips over the stones. Angry Captain Marvel punches him and knocks him to the States, then flies after him. They fight across the globe and finally end up back in Paris. Thor pins Captain Marvel down with Mjölnir and calls her a party-pooper again.
While partygoers are wreaking the planet, Captain Marvel grabs Thor, flies him into orbit, and throws him down toward Earth. Then she flies down to confront him. Thor tells her to loosen up, but she gives him a countdown.
In the middle of the fight, Frigga projects her image to Earth, interrupting the battle, and demands to know what he's doing. Thor claims that his study group came to Earth for cultural exchange, but Frigga tells him that she's coming to Earth to see his studies by herself.

Well, as they say in Marvel Canon. The older an Asgardian gets. The stronger they become. With this in mind. Ms. Marvel here (Her supe original name before she tacked on that 'Captain' and dropped the 'Ms") would never stand a chance. As in the comics (at least for now until they come up with something more stupidly overpowered) Thor Force is more powerful than the Odin Force.

Where did I say she was MORE powerful than Phoenix? Clearly you know nothing of Chris Claremont's GOAL with her. You know he was responsible for both yea??! Against his wishes Marvel killed off Jean. Later Chris had Carol join the X-Men, and gave her "Binary" powers. She was NOT Planet busting UNTIL Chris Claremont created Binary.
This was BEFORE the Phoenix force was developed into what we know it today. Even her DESIGN somewhat mimics Phoenix with the FIRE. She had the power to destroy entire planets if she wanted. At the TIME, she had NO upper limits to her powers. As Binary She WAS Thor level. She was stronger than Thor. Thor wasn't destroying entire solar systems at the TIME either. You conflating feats of today to what those characters were capable of back then. The only time Thor would come close to such power would be some special one shot power boost that wasn't his own doing.
Chris Claremont wrote her to be that powerful! Just like he wrote Phoenix to be as powerful as Thor even more so. But Marvel didn't want that, and killed her off. Then they nerfed Carol from Binary. Both thing Chris did not want. I suggest you go read old interviews with Chris Claremont about his intentions for those characters back then. Marvel ended up nerfing Binary before Chris could do more with her. Again... at the TIME Chris gave her NO UPPER LIMITS to her powers. Marvel back then did not like characters being as strong or stronger than Thor. He was their answer to Superman. So she had been hit with a nerf bat at least 3 times.
So it's not like Disney came along, and pull Carol's level of power out of thin air! She's STILL nerfed in the MCU! Unless you can point to me where she has control over a magnetism and a planets gravity....

I feel like they evened the playing field a lot more too in terms of power scale, which made her more fun to watch. Seeing her genuinely struggle to maintain her composure against the devil-may-care god is more interesting than her being badass/cool like in the movies (so forced)

Captain marvel gave no reason for him to get off the planet and since thor is literally a god and thinks different of everything, there is no reason she wouldn’t think to explain herself, yet she gave no explanation and went straight to throwing hands, at that point thor was just defending himself.
Why would she bother explaining herself when his party put Fury, her friend, in a coma? Either he left, or he received a well-earned beating.

Asgardians gain in strength as they age - had he been Odin instead she would have not faired so well.
Her overconfidence will be her undoing - or at least it would if Disney was ever in the mood to allow female characters to experience consequences to their actions rather than treating them as faultless figures.

Let's not forget that Asgardians are not all the same in power levels Thor may be younger and weaker than Odin and weaker than he himself will be when he is older but he is still stronger than most other Asgardians, the average citizen of Asgard are for Thor the same thing a normal guy is to the Incredible Hulk, Thor is an exceptional specimen even by Asgardian standards

She's not going all out either because she's not trying to kill him, and also trying to avoid collateral damage and casualties. That's why she keeps trying to take the fight to uninhabited areas. But Thor just keeps going back to the party. It wasn't up until the end when she was about to start cutting loose before Mom showed up.

This Captain Marvel would beat PARTY Thor tbh. She seems around the same as her Main Universe counterpart and this Thor is like Dark world level. He would defo get merked if she went all out. @@paveesfox375 - perhaps that's the turning point in this universe where Odin changes his ways - everybody (it seems) turned out much happier after he had a change of heart & banished Hela after their lethally destructive crusade.
He obviously went around fixing all the problems he caused - with the Ice Giants (Loki)& Surtur; the enemies in the MCU were friendly in this one becauseof those actions.
Thor may have been a brat (like in the first movie) but all he wanted was some fun with fun people.

And that only happens because Loki tricks Hother(a blind god) into killing Baldur(the god of light), by getting Hother to pierce Baldur with mistletoe(the only thing that could kill Baldur). I wish the marvel version was more in line with the real mythos version or Norse paganism.
