Producer 5. innovator. 6 Future seeking ears 7. A great conscience and a precious social icon for the freedom of Mankind. Why Curtis did not receive the U.S. Medal of Freedom is an oversight of great moment and must be corrected. Mr, Mayfield's work in The Movement was great and he sacrificed much of his career to be at the forefront of both the Civil Rights and Anti-War movements. Curtis was a major influence on me in many ways. Yeah, I am an old-timer, but Cutis record's have LEGS. They are gonna be walking for a long time to come! They will be discovered by many new generations of musicians. He will forever be a major influence. University music departments will study his work. People need to learn to recognise truly important artists from their era whom will transcend time.
