RGV comes out with interesting revelations. Despite reluctance of the producer of Rangeela, he pushed for Rahman's name as music director of the film, a lightweight in bollywood during those days, when music maestros like Anu Malik were reigning supreme. His trust was vindicated and rest is history now. Phenomenal success of Rangeela not only firmly established Rahman in bollywood but also also gave big boost to careers of RGV and Aamir. While RGV took credit for establishing Rahman in bollywood- and for good reason- he also acknowledged Rahman's contribution in making Rangeela a superhit. Aamir Khan should come forward and do the same.
Dear Mr. Malvey. You are absolutely right. We appreciate your knowledge and analysis of Cinema. A a special gesture, we pin your commenrt. So that more viewers read your comment. Warm Regards.
@FuckUtube Always found Anu Malik music to be highly saccharine. Even before I knew they were copies.
@@nchl5340 Anu Malik should give 50% royalty to Ilaiyaraja.
I must say RGVs observations about an artist and the way he is putting the words and his thought process is astonishing.
We agree with you Mr. Shaik.
Rgv legend❤️🔥
@@megha8783 😂😂
@@mohamedazarudeen6187 you ha hate but today many directors and technicians are students of RGV
@@indianwoods it's not hate , he his the rarest camera technician in our country.
The way RGV looks about anything and anybody is crystal clear. We may agree or disagree with him. But he stands out with his view. ARR is a marvelous thing that happened in the world of music. Salutes to the both geniuses.
Yes first when Maniratnam sir was speaking...we felt he is great.( Yes Of course)..but, now RGV sir with his much more genuine views has made the episodes more exciting.
We agree with you both Mr Murthy & Mr. Sangeetham. We felt the same after recording.
I came to listen why ARR is such a genius and ended up also learning what a genius RGV is!
Dear Mr. Shafi. Thank you very much. Kindly stay with the series. Hope you have subscribed to the channel. Plesae do, and share it with your friends and circles, Regards.
Absolutely 💯
Success lessons from ARR!
3:01 to 3:16
How one's work elevates the work output of the entire team
3:16 to 3:35
Breaking the mould- the song does not have regular beats
3:35 to 4:00
Breaking the mould- destroying the time tested & established tradition that a particular singer's voice will only match a particular actor
@4:49
Never crave for appreciation from others for your effort
@5:55 to 6:17
Never ever defend your creation/something you make, accept negative feedback
6:29 to 7:43
Approach: Bringing out the best in others. Never command/order others. Mere asking others humbly, if this is the best way, will bring out the best contribution from others
9:04 to 10:09
Ability to review and iterate to improve ones own work after initial creation
BEST EPISODE by far. Ram Gopal Verma's insights and articulations about AR Rahman and his music process makes this video a cherishable one!
Dear Mr. Kulkarni. Thank you very much for liking it.
He is the man...Who first recognise the talent Of Ajay Atul also❤️
RGV should be given noble prize for such a good description of the composer!!
😍😍❤️❤️❤️
Personally I felt RGV had very subtle observations to offer than other directors, may be even Mani sir himself. As a commoner, his observations are closer to wide audience than a technical sound and deep Maniratnam. The best so far I should say ❤️❤️❤️:
1. Not dying for compliments
2. Respecting artists
3. No Artistic Pride
4. Revisit his own work to better it
5. His music challenges the director, choreographer and even the artists to lipsync. (Amir Khan saying he finds songs not following usual beat pattern. Never thought in this aspect)
6. Unconventional approach of making music other than the usual SPB, Chithra, Udit etc.
💎👑
Great comment. 👏👏
No one can be ARR and there won't be anyone. He's the only one.
RGV a legend on a vacation… we expect him to come back from vacation…. Sooner than later
2 persons i admired 1 is RGV and another one ARR.. Rgv describing ARR is just delightful to watch.....
Rangeela should have won National Award...!!!
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. We are delighted to hear from you.
There are 60+ episodes with stalwarts - who collaborated with Mr. Rahman. We request you to visit our channel... and if you like it... subscribe it(IF not done already) And share it with your friends, family & groups. Regards
I really hope AR R is seeing this. ❤
Listening to RGV in two episodes and listening to the music without the singer brought to the fore that Rahman does not depend on the singer's voice to show the emotion. The music itself conveys emotions of joy and more particularly pain. Rahman has remained uninfluenced by Bollywood maestros, treading a path of his own. Kudos
RGV vision is something we couldn't find in other or any of Indian directors..The way he presents his thoughts by framing the words..it's like I am listening to the words of Rishi/Guru's speech...I followed his Telugu interviews also, you will get addicted to his speech about any topics or about any one else...Most gifted mind in India..
This channel need more support for making good contents!!!!
Dear Sir. We really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for watching Rahman Music Sheets. Kindly stay with the series and share with with your friends and groups. Help us reach larger audience base. Regards.
Please add Bharathiraja , Rajiv Menon and Gotham Vasudev Menon in this series they bring gems from Rahman
And Maniratnam
@@sandipravindra new to this channel? First episode was with Manirathnam
I liked the way RGV said that singers and musicians will be performing differently than their usual way ...that's magic of ARR....he's been loved by entire universe for so many such great aspects
Not commanding but asking them to chip in their creativity. That’s how you work. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Through ar rahman came another unsung hero Harris jayaraj . Who is monster in sound engineering. No doubt he was given the job in arr studio and came later zara zara.
Fun fact: ARR's guru is Ilayaraja. So he is the bigger hero.
@@vigneshsubramanian2511 no back in those days all southern music directors worked in avm studios arr worked for variety of composers as session player. IR was not guru he worked as one of troupe player.
@@vigneshsubramanian2511 ARR was more like a worker for IR and not his student. If ARR was his student, he wouldn't have a different approach in composing music. ARR and IR are two world apart in composing style.
Harris is only good in his sound. His composing creativity is nothing great. Vidyasagar, Deva and SA Rajkumar can compose much better tunes and songs.
@@hareneishnadhar i didnt know u are die hard fan of deva ..I rest my case
"Creative arrogance" - I am going to remember that word.
A.R. Rahman is a GEM 💎 of Indian Music Industry. States' Film Industry should not miss him...
Team building and faith is creativity for performance
I want to thank you Ram Gopal Varma sir for giving such brief explanation which was so precious
Another Fantastic episode. RGV spoke very well about A R Rehman. His observation is fantastic.
thank you very much Mr. Bhupati...
God of music Legend RAHMAN
So happy to see the grade of singers today. He had made a singer mimmini sing when she lost her voiceand couldn't even finish a line. Now I understand why non singers are ruling today. Kudos to ARR for that
In one of the interview, RGV admitted that he would feel not convinced of the tunes of Rehman, it is only after some time after hearing these tunes, they used to grow on him.
RGV Presents and articulates what he feels effortlessly. 👏👏👏 Not easy for many .....
Yes... we can see you visiting our earlier episodes. thanks a lot.
You are truly an intelligent director 😊😊😊
Hope these O2India - Rahman Music sheets be never ending.
capturing thoughts from RGV on ARR is great .
Grateful for your thought, and wishes.
Ram has given a near proper definition of A.R.R . ❤
This is a master class for anyone in the creative field
Dear Sir... You are right sir... Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Hope you have subscribed to the channel. Plesae share it with your family, friends and groups. Regards.
I can pay to listen to this guy talk .. the clarity of thought is super clear
A R Rehman - no doubt is a Master of his trade. RGV is a fantastic - His observation and point of view is so unique,. That is why he is a legend.
Mangta hai kya composition is so much ahead of time…..still there is not a single song can beat Mangta hai kya ….it has evrything in an unconventional way….such a great composition
Rgv great philosopher
RGV voice sounds like Osho…..
@7.0 min Great explanation of RGV regarding A.r.Rahman creative process. 👏👏👏
The point here is both AR & RGV love what thy r dng...
Wonder what happened to RGV and his film making...he is churning out trash after trash , hard to believe it's the same genius who gave us Satya, Rangeela, Company, 26/11 Terror attacks, Rakta Charitra, Sarkar. Hope that he comes back with an iconic movie.
The best episode so far... Thank you ❤️
Ramu has articulated it very well
Rvg has so much knowledge
The one man using 70% freedom no. Director like this hit and flop given like this. Still survey this film industry
RGV observation ka baap, ARR God level 🙏
Creation is eventually a constant process of evolution.
Its constant process of evolution not concern process
Great comment that he is not looking for compliments
Classic RGV ! The spoit Genius
Both are epitome of wisdom in film industry
Wonderful music & lyrics . Speechless , wonderful talent 👍👍👍 .
Thanks a lot for your appreciation.

What a video 🌷
why showing in between covrd version songs instead of showing original…
Great series with great learnings. Thanks a mil for sharing.
Much better Umesh as compared to the previous episodes. Try and stretch it to 15 minutes if you can. It's still a very small episode each week, reminds me of Ramanand Sagar's stuff from my childhood, the never ending sagas :-)
Thanks Mr. Vedam... We take our viewers' suggestions very seriously. I really appreciate you feedback. RGV seems to be right when he says, "creativity is a continuous process of evolution." Hope you noticed it... Stay with the series. Spread it further. & help us reach larger audience base.... Regards

Thank You
You're welcome
Waiting for next episode.
Wow nice 👏 thanks for this video
7:45 yooooo
ARR has unique blessings
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
2 sides of Ramgopal ... Here he's speaking like a real professional ., Where in if u see him in another local interviews he'll speak like a crazy fellow
Depends on what the interviewer wants. In the interviews of TV9 he knows they invite him just for TRP ratings and gives what they need stooping to their level. Here he knows they need professional stuff and gives what he is best at.
@@The_Searching_Sanchari what a small world , didnt expect to bump into you here but since its about ARR not very surprising. Take a wild guess who iam🤪

It is not copied songs , it is all inspired from the originals . Many composers does that .
