Just now hearing your song and you did great! Congratulations on learning guitar, and keep up the good work! That’s a nice song. (One of my sons plays guitar and I wish I’d learned it. I worked with children’s choir at church for years and it would’ve been nice to be able to strum along on a guitar while singing.)
Hi, thanks for your comments and I am pleased you liked the song and my playing! 😊 I am still getting to grips with the guitar stuff and it's much more complicated to record compared to Tyros which is permanently set up in my lounge and is a single piece of equipment. With the guitar I need so many other things just to get set up, the pedal, the iPad, the plectrum, the leads in and out and, I also have to disconnect the iRig Stream from tyros and plug that into the pedal too. Then I have to play in the other room as well, I am exhausted before I even press record on the camera, but it is very satisfying to get a tune going and make the recording. 😊 I can strum along to most tunes after a few listens, that was what I learned in my youth when I went to the community guitar classes. That was a looooong time ago now though, but when you learn stuff at that age it 'sticks' so I can get myself strumming away quite quickly even after such a long absence. Picking the melody out and playing along to a backing track is the challenge for me, so I will try a few other tunes in the coming weeks and months and see how I get on. You should have a go at the guitar, it's very satisfying playing one! Have a great day! 👍
