The problem with most people who are claiming loving the preacher is : 1. They are not trying to imitated them You will find them with appearance like Kufar. Dressing like them. 2. They are not wearing hijab, not even praying. Mufti Menk is calling you to change your way of living and adapt it to the Islamic way. When you love someone you behave, dress, speak, walk like him. But are we seeing those people ?
Frere Umar Mansare True point, this is why it's mentioned, to truly get guidance from Allah you need to strive 'in the path of Allah'. It will not come to you sitting at home as it didn't for the Sahabah. They left their homes to learn and propagate Deen. People need to understand that along with learning from Ulema, you also need to propagate Deen yourself to others so you stay steadfast. On the other hand, people propagate everyday about the greatness of the world and its materialistic things, hence their lifestyle does not change. Learn and propagate Islam as no more prophets are to come.

One must realise that anything good is Halal. And similarly, anything bad is Haraam. If you are going to worship Allah by performing the prayers, then you have to have a clear mindset. I used to listen to music and when I performed the prayers I wasn't focused. Sometimes, you tend to think of the tune in your head without realising. It took a lot of effort and self-belief to give it up. Alhamdulillah, I can now focus properly during prayer. There is a lot of peace when you think of only Allah during worship. It gives me assurance that I can rely 100% on Allah's help and He is listening to me. The way to give it up is by reading the Qura'an, reading other Islamic books and listening to the Qura'an (I found this most helpful). It is not just music which can make you loose focus. Other things such as dramas, movies, etc can also affect the mind. Why should Allah listen to our prayers when we are not fully committed and pure? 'The right course has become clear from the wrong.' Surah Baqarah, verse 256.
I want my prayer to be recorded as 100% correct, rather then to have my prayer recorded but it is not 100% just because my thoughts were somewhere else...so yeah, music is out of my system for almost 2 months now and I feel so much better...The Almighty God made it easy for me to quit. Sir, I'm a hindu though but I appreciate you a lot. In my personal opinion, music, like the one these days 'item songs' as a haram is right. Because we never realise how the dirty lyrics slowly with time diverts our minds. But I feel that traditional music, ghazal, qawwali, bhajan, saaregama.., and hindustani classical one, are really good to listen, or some good peaceful movie based songs. In general I feel, some singers regardless of the nation to which they belong have completely changed the meaning of songs and music from a pure thing to a horrible dirty one.

“People are tampering with our minds.” Man this man kept it very honest and he’s very right about that. Nowadays everyone thinks: the opposite sex “ain’t sh%t.” Or that guys/girls want is “sex.” Or that you can’t “trust anyone.” Or they promote use of vanity. It’s creating a toxic mindset in people who listen to such music.. As a Christian, personally I love techno and music without lyrics. Something very primal that speaks to my human nature.
yes, the subconscious mind doesn't have the ability to tell what is right or wrong, the lyrics we keep listening to get fed to the subconscious mind and then those things get fed to the conscious mind. These lyrics literally affect us even if we realize it or not.

music is bad, no matter classic or modern. I can explain. after my converting to Islam the brother told me:" make experiment, don't listen to music 2 weeks and then you can start listening to it again, but please listen to your heart " it was hard for me as experiment, because I awoke with music and fell asleep with music, though I already started practicing solat 5 times per day. so I want to say, that when I stopped listening to music and I noticed my heart was clear during solat when I was praying, it was very delicious solat. after 2 weeks I started listening to music again and I lost that sweet feeling in my heart during solat. then I made my choice. I stopped listening to music and do not tolerate it anymore
+Cao Mengde It's your choice, same as many of weak people. Because it's really takes a lot of strength not to be a follower of own desires, to be on the right way in the meaning how prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him) and his friends understood Islam. I studied that question about music. Please study it, too. It may change all your life to the better. Just note, in Quran we see "many people" they don't know(7/187), they don't believe(11/17), they aren't thankful (2/243).We see "many among people" are reprobates (5/59), don't know (6/111), turn away (21/24), don't listen (8/21). We see "only few" are thankful to Allah (34/13). Ibn AL Kayim told:" follow the truth, and don't be sad for the reason of loneliness that only few follow the truth , be careful about way of lie, and don't make yourself be fooled with multiplicity or greatness of sinners". I know it's hard to confirm Allah dislikes music and shaitan loves it. But if you belong to yourself, you'll make a right choice from the truth. May Allah help you.
from last year i don't doubt in number of raka't of salah just because i stop listening music otherwise i always forget how many rakat i have prayed and how many i have left. so yes stop listening music is beneficial for concentration(for sure) and memory(maybe).

*To all Muslims* (Who listen to kpop or other music), if you are seeing this hear me out and just quickly read this message as a reminder (try to read all) Trust me this fangirling/fanboying does not get you anywhere in the long run. (I am not hating on BTS at all, just a reminder to my fellow brothers and sisters). They are merely humans and obsessiveness can easily take over people as it does to lots of Armys (and to me), but tbh true peace does not come from their music, but the word of Allah (God). I also used to be really into music, but true peace is found when you let go even if you think this music is different (meaning does not support the use of alcohol, using drugs, or objectifying women). I used to be a huge fan for 6 years, and I tried to improve my depression/happiness by constantly listening to BTS and other groups, but in the end I saw no real benefit even though the music seemed to make me happy, it was momentary (very short) and then life went back to the depressive state. Trust me true peace is when you take God's path... try it, just listen to the Quran consistently with translations whenever you feel like listening to music (I suggest Ibrahim Walk's translation with Mishary Alafasy)... Cause I used to be that one to say that this type of music is not haram. Truth is, it is haram based on authentic hadiths, but just think about it; is it getting you closer to Allah or farther away. Without you knowing you will see yourself wasting your time. I sincerely do not mean to hate or call Armys out, but I just want to let you know that the solution to the emptiness or depression you have is not the music. You may think it is, but it is temporary happiness that will you lead further away from God in the long run. Now the real Question needs to be asked... Don't you want to hear what God is trying to tell you (from the Quran)? Or is wasting your time on these things more beneficial, because the average teen spends 5 hours listening to music every day; 45% of it including inappropriate lyrics that will damage your brain and thinking pattern even if you think it won't. So ask yourself, isn't it time for change? Assalamualykum, sorry if it sounded preachy, but my only point is to help the youth like me who are suffering from depression or wanting happiness from music, and they think music will fully solve their problems.
everything you said is on point and i strongly agree with you!! Most of the bts songs are about self love and confidence but it is addictive and we spend so much time listening to music . I’ve been trying to limit hours of listening to songs. I literally can’t do anything without some music in the background. i think it’s the reason why it’s not allowed . anything in excess is bad for humans.it’s impossible to listen to one or two songs daily for relaxation . it’s addictive and you will always want more ..
Heyy i agree with u completely i am still an army but not because of their music because of then cuz i love them n i prayed that they get the guidance of allah inshallah if not in thiis world we shall meet in jannat💯💜
Assalamualaykum, Please read all of this as I am sincerely trying to help you (Allah is the best helper), but I am only a reminder. *The best way to give up BTS/KPOP obsession would be to* : Understand they are wasting your time, or the content they produce is wasting your time in the long run. Which you already did in your comment, so that's a good start. You said "When they smile it makes me happy." You need to understand that true happiness/contentment lies with Allah, which means obeying him will lead you to true success in this life and the hereafter. So anything that makes you happy is only a deceptive tool to make you happy in a temporary/fake way. Allah says in the Quran, in Surah Ali Imran 3: 185: "The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception." The next thing to understand is that they are normal people like us, so why should we idolize them based on their appearance on the camera. So can you like them for who they really are? I mean sure you can say they are this and that, but you do not truly know what type of people they are in their private lives so why should you be obsessed about them. Rather you should be a follower of the best man who existed on the earth, who is Prophet Muhammad. We know about his life from his private relatives, he never raised his voice at people and his personality was the best of anyone. So why should we not read about his life and try to follow his example? One thing that is very important that you said, which was wrong, is when you said: "But sadly they won't be happy after their death". This is completely wrong to say because they could likely become Muslims that have the highest level in Paradise, and we could be the opposite. But we ask Allah to guide us to the straight path in every instance. So this is wrong to say because only knows. And yes you can pray for them to become Muslim. So try to make alternatives for the KPOP content you watch, like : Quran, lectures, etc. It will be tough at first because your desires will kick in and want you to go back, but you will get use to a healthy lifestyle for your soul, inshaAllah (God Willing). These are things for you to understand, but the best way is to make Dua because Allah says in the Quran (40:60): "Call upon me, I will respond to you" That is the best way. Another reminder, some people think that if their duas are not accepted immediately or they are not accepted the way they wanted that Allah is not accepting their dua. But really the example can be given like when a boy is young. He asks for a car from his dad at that age. Will his dad give him the car or will he say no, I will give it to you when the right time comes. They want the best for you, the same way Allah does and Allah loves us more than our parents, remember. So Allah knows what's best for you, so never give up on dua because every dua is accepted. Be strong and don't give up because this life is short and if we don't change now, and better ourselves; it might be too late. I would like to propose you to watch a video in your free time (One of my favorite sheiks): m.ruclips.net/video/FNT9Q362yF4/видео.html Peace be upon you, Assalamualaykum

Say, "Did God give you permission to do this? Or, do you fabricate lies and attribute them to God? “ (Al Quran # 10:59) Allah has made it permissible for mankind to listen to music. It of course is,but you heard that "shaking your body on music tunes that's sound dirty" said mufti menk. And here l am saying you can hear sad songs when your sad you can hear happy ones just to cheer up your mood but, search the halal ones yes l am saying "SEARCH THE HALAL SONGS" which are not dirty my heart says you can hear songs "BECAUSE HUMAN BRAIN CAN BE RELAXED BY HEARING MUSIC" Don't take me ln a wrong way nothing is wrong in just hearing songs either then dancing on them in a Haram way.
@@zoyashaik1663 As a muslim, I believe that human brain can be relaxed by hearing the Quran, not music. Allah has sent down his melodious book to us and that is enough. I think we don't need to listen to songs to remove sadness, It will not effect anything. The sad songs will make you more sad. But it would be better if you listen to the recitation of Quran. Allah said in the Quran, ''Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured." [Quran - 13:28] Ok, if you need something extra, I would suggest you to hear Islamic nasheeds. There are many beautiful nasheeds which are far better than music. I can recommend you some if you want 😄
Keysar Efes yeah i agree, i don’t listen to any music that alters my thoughts in a negative way or sends out a negative message like drugs, murder, e.c.t.
Yaa Allah. .thank you for creating Miss Shabnam Sherzai in todays world and NIT during the time of Paedophile Muhammad who married Aayesha at the age of 6 and impregnated her at age 9 to deliver a baby boy at 10. Am indeed happy for you. Coz it could have been you in her place at age 6
Here’s the thing though, I’m a Christian too and a lot of music is sinful nowadays, but, in Islam any music is sinful, you can’t even bang a drum or listen to classical music…obviously things like certain rap and pop music is sinful, but classical and jazz??? I believe God gave us music to worship him, have fun and be creative, so I fundamentally disagree with this idea that all music is sinful
Music itself never was a sin. The negative intention behind a certain song or music is a sin. This is why I don't like gangsta rap or black metal, but this does not make electric guitars and rapping bad. Some people are simply very obsessed with negative themes in art, and this is exactly what the sin is: Obsession with malevolent, bad, negative things.
Music actually has a psychological impact and it actually triggers dipression. Besides people often get addicted to music which is indeed haraam. Not only that listening to music for a long time can reduce ones focus, attention and the ability to memories things. So if you are a student try to stay as away from music as possible. From a student of psychology and curious mind.
Dear muslim brothers and sisters, I really need a dua to help me go through hard times. I am falling down a dark path, I feel I want to better myself as a muslim, but at the same time I am disencouraged to for some reason. I focus solely on trying to be successful and grant my family a better life, yet I am ashamed to say I have forgotten about the most important part of my life. Islam. I haven't forgotten it completely, I'm just beginning to stray away from it day by day, and I feel as if I crawl and climb this very large ladder to go back into it. But I fall off the ladder, and repeat it constantly. Please give me Dua.
When i converting the islam,i didn't hear the music, thank you allah, you guide me in the right direction,i encourage all the christian, learn the teaching of islam, learnin the quaran, because this is the truth, the word of one migthy creator?
As a Christian I absolutely agree, there are some genres of music that are permissible, and there are most modern songs today that are completely prohibited, because it is the devil whispering in your ear, most modern music‘s have the lyrics such as shake your ass or do someone’s other fucking shit that only the devil himself would incite upon people.
@@bigB0sso789 depends on when you listen to music, i usually did when i had free time (dont have free time anymore) so when i got busy i didnt have time to listen to that. I replaced it with podcats, islamic lectures, and my favorite Surah.

Why do we equate obscene lyrics with a lack of quality? This comes with the freedom of expression. In the 60s and 50s people were literally jailed for saying the f and s word on stage. Would you rather have that? Will these obscene songs really make your life that bad?
@@freddiem6805 Oh dear, I'm quite sorry. I meant only to say that the elements of his speech were true, but you are correct when you say that only God can be absolute. This man's speech can always be improved or changed to be closer to the truth; only one being _is_ the truth. Thanks.
The question was "Is music Haram?", and he replied "some modern music have forbidden contents", but this is not the whole music, so basically he didn't reply correctly.
He does not side step it. Comprehension of the way he phrase his words is important. he is answering it with a common ground between the ummahs with different opinions In mind. The way he phrase it is simple: -If you already think that it is haram then this message is just give another good justification why it is haram. -even if you don't think that music is haram, you should be extremely careful to what you are listening to especially nowadays with content of explicit violence and sexualisation and there are other entertainment that wouldn't corrupt our aqidah. My brothers, whether you believe music is haram or not, we shouldn't be trying to create any further division between us.
@Dan Lumo singing nasyid with only your mouth is permissible. It is the musical instruments which are not allowed. So even if you sing nasyid but accompanied by guitar, drums, piano, etc it becomes haram.
The problem is that there are many types of music: can anyone specify what is haram or halal? I think we all know that " Halal is obvious and Haram is Obvious" to the true believer who wants to have the best connection with god and to lead a virtuous life. therefore, for me there are plenty of good types of music such as: Islamic songs, songs about life; optimism; being good; humanity; country- also traditional songs which bring people together. Also there are national anthems, children songs & educational songs. I believe all are good. lastly, there are music without lyrics which in general is good ( such as orchestras, spiritual music , Sufi music). while as the mufti said there are dirty songs in addition to degrading songs such as most of METAL and hard Rock songs which is not only Haram but harmful to one's soul.
May Allah guide you dear brother/sister 😇 İ will recommend you to watch the interviews of non Muslims that reverted😃 iam sure you will change your mind inşallah May Allah help you 🌹❤️
When trying to make an argument on controversial topics, they always include the Christians or Jewish people... otherwise it's always Christians or Jews are wrong. Music is good, not all types of music are. Some are too explicit and sexual. As I have gotten older my genre of music has changed and some are soothing and helpful.
he literally said not only muslim who prohibit listening to the bad music, all the religion said that. and in the first minute he also said to put into the context why some scholar said listening to music is okay because back then the lyric is not weird like right now.
@@Omega-jg4oq Hi! I've done extensive research on this topic and what I have found is that all scholars unanimously agree that vulgar music or music that goes against moral islamic teachings is haraam, no doubt about that. Overwhelming majority also agree that singing clean songs is also halal as long as they don't push you away from Islam but rather bring you closer to it AND as long you aren't trying to seduce someone else (like think of sirens that seduce pirates with their voice lol I know silly example) BUT there is no clarity on whether clean innocent songs with *string and wind instruments aka pianos, drums, flutes, violins etc.* are halal or haram. There is MAJOR DOUBT about that. No one knows for sure. So if you are interested in my unexpert and unsolicited advice :D, I would say that when there is doubt it is best to avoid that thing completely. Personally, I am graudually reducing my instrumental music intake and Inshallah one day, I'll drop it completely. Have a lovely day! Please don't be offended. Everyone is so sensitive :P Wish you the best
@@alyzak.8997 but in the Quaran, God never once said in any Aya don't listen to music or anything like that, when he says something that we shouldn't do, he made it clear so anyone could understand and avoid it, and the prophet didn't talk about Music alone in hadit, he mentioned it with some others in one hadit, the silk and the wine and then the music, but why? does he mean those type of music who contain bad lyrics and appears at haram places and attacks Islam? and anyone who wants to listen to good music is free to listen to it or not listen to it? Because instruments are everywhere cause if Music is haram, is national anthem and anything musical haram too? The prophet could have said more about it, but I'm going to guess that good music is halal and another is haram

The problem with most people who are claiming loving the preacher is :
1. They are not trying to imitated them
You will find them with appearance like Kufar.
Converting to Islam is not equal to adapting culture. Only the former is required. The latter is neither encouraged nor discouraged by the Quran.

This makes sense..
I want my prayer to be recorded as 100% correct, rather then to have my prayer recorded but it is not 100% just because my thoughts were somewhere else...so yeah, music is out of my system for almost 2 months now and I feel so much better...The Almighty God made it easy for me to quit. Alhamdulillah
I don’t think this is related to strictly music. Allah forbade us anything that’s addictive. For you it’s music, for me it was video games or RUclips cause that’s what I was addicted to. If you cannot learn to be moderate in your hobbies, then it’s best to abandon them. I would occasionally listen to music (only when traveling) but I never had the problem you were having. Music was never what stopped me from focusing on my salah. It was my other hobbies I was obsessed with that I had to tone down.

Because we never realise how the dirty lyrics slowly with time diverts our minds. But I feel that traditional music, ghazal, qawwali, bhajan, saaregama.., and hindustani classical one, are really good to listen, or some good peaceful movie based songs. music is bad, no matter classic or modern.

*To all Muslims* (Who listen to kpop or other music), if you are seeing this hear me out and just quickly read this message as a reminder (try to read all)
Trust me this fangirling/fanboying does not get you anywhere in the long run.
*The best way to give up BTS/KPOP obsession would be to* :
Understand they are wasting your time, or the content they produce is wasting your time in the long run.
Allah says in the Quran, in Surah Ali Imran 3: 185:
"The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception."
The next thing to understand is that they are normal people like us, so why should we idolize them based on their appearance on the camera.
These are things for you to understand, but the best way is to make Dua because Allah says in the Quran (40:60):
"Call upon me, I will respond to you"
That is the best way.

Allah has made it permissible for mankind to listen to music. But people fabricated lies and attributed it to Allah.
“Ibn Abbas said, ‘Aishah gave a girl relative of hers in marriage to a man of the Ansar. The Prophet (s.a.w) came and asked, ‘Did you send a singer along with her?’ ‘No,’ she said. The Messenger of Allah then said: ‘The Ansar are a people who love poetry. You should have sent along someone who would sing, ‘here we come, to you we come, greet us as we greet you.'”
Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) encouraged music when he went to see the people of Ansar
“Volume 6, Book 61, Number 568: Narrated Abu Musa:
That the Prophet said to him’ ‘O Abu Musa! You have been given one of the musical wind-instruments of the family of David .’”
Abu Musa was given a wind instrument, if instruments are haram why has this happened?
Psalms/Zabur, a holy book in Islam. Did you know that Psalms actually translates to "To play a stringed instrument"? If music is haram would it mean that I cannot read the Psalms? If a hadith has contradictory towards the Psalms, then it is not authentic.
There is not one verse in the Quran that explicitly references music as prohibited, if there was music would have been haram. And no, Surah al Luqman 31:6 will not save you
And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Quran) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire).
This verse states that people that purchase Idle talks (Singing or Music) without knowledge that misleads people from the Path of Allah, then they will be residents of Hellfire. Nowhere in this verse does it say that all music is haram
Whoever says that all music is prohibited, let him also claim that the songs of birds are prohibited. - Imam Ghazali.

"BECAUSE HUMAN BRAIN CAN BE RELAXED BY HEARING MUSIC"
Don't take me ln a wrong way nothing is wrong in just hearing songs either then dancing on them in a Haram way.
You know that there are islamic songs right?
@@yaaseensoondar6723 yes and maybe some of sad songs and do you want me to recommend those?
@@zoyashaik1663 As a muslim, I believe that human brain can be relaxed by hearing the Quran, not music. Allah has sent down his melodious book to us and that is enough. I think we don't need to listen to songs to remove sadness, It will not effect anything. The sad songs will make you more sad. But it would be better if you listen to the recitation of Quran. Allah said in the Quran,
''Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured." [Quran - 13:28]
Ok, if you need something extra, I would suggest you to hear Islamic nasheeds. There are many beautiful nasheeds which are far better than music. I can recommend you some if you want 😄

I like rap

Every Muslim video even if it’s about 2 mins always makes my day :D

As a Christian I absolutely agree, there are some genres of music that are permissible, and there are most modern songs today that are completely prohibited, because it is the devil whispering in your ear, most modern music‘s have the lyrics such as shake your ass or do someone’s other fucking shit that only the devil himself would incite upon people.

Why do we equate obscene lyrics with a lack of quality? This comes with the freedom of expression. In the 60s and 50s people were literally jailed for saying the f and s word on stage. Would you rather have that? Will these obscene songs really make your life that bad?

The question was "Is music Haram?", and he replied "some modern music have forbidden contents", but this is not the whole music, so basically he didn't reply correctly.
To defend religions , religious teachers often sidestep the question. I am glad that someone noticed! 🙏
Have a nice day
He does not side step it. Comprehension of the way he phrase his words is important. he is answering it with a common ground between the ummahs with different opinions In mind. The way he phrase it is simple:
-If you already think that it is haram then this message is just give another good justification why it is haram.
So even if you sing nasyid but accompanied by guitar, drums, piano, etc it becomes haram.
ruclips.net/video/-3GMg7J9ZXU/видео.html
The problem is that there are many types of music:
can anyone specify what is haram or halal?

@@Omega-jg4oq Hi! I've done extensive research on this topic and what I have found is that all scholars unanimously agree that vulgar music or music that goes against moral islamic teachings is haraam, no doubt about that.
Overwhelming majority also agree that singing clean songs is also halal as long as they don't push you away from Islam but rather bring you closer to it AND as long you aren't trying to seduce someone else (like think of sirens that seduce pirates with their voice lol I know silly example)
BUT there is no clarity on whether clean innocent songs with *string and wind instruments aka pianos, drums, flutes, violins etc.* are halal or haram.
Everyone is so sensitive :P
