"Sir, the enemy are besieging our wall and are sending more armies to reinforce!" "Hmm. Intercept their reinforcements." "How? With what army?" "This one in the wall. Just move the wall up to intercept them and sneak it back before the siegers notice we left." Sun Tzu at it again with the brilliant military strategy. Look weak when you are strong, look strong when you are weak, and look immobile when you can intercept. I was half expecting you to move your army out and back only to get ambushed by the wall and somehow have an ambush siege, truly the worst of both worlds.
That was a fun campaign and it's amazing to see how strong such "low tier" units can be ^^ (as long as least as you said you don't give the A.I. to recruit Tier 3+ units to counter you) What I noticed though and what kind of suprised/shocked me. You took almost 50 turns "just" to get the short victory and it didn't seem like you where dragging your feet at all. And 35 settlements might not sound much, but you conquered the Northern Chaos Wastelands atop Cathay and about 2 thirds of it and it was JUST enough to qualify for that condition, that is perplexing how much you actually need to conquer o.O
Yeah, short campaign victories are a bit fucked with the added "30 settlements" requirement. If you don't need to see the victory achieved message and you are going just for the short campaign I consider it best to just accomplish whatever mission it sets you up with.

The green "mist" is actually spores. you know, since the greenskins in this lore reproduce like fungi. basically, all the ones that die grow new ones. getting murdered is a win for them xD
@@PoorManatee6197 are they? when was orks retconned to be fungus? i thought it was after warhammer fantasy's end times but i could be wrong.. it certainly would fit in the fantasy setting although it would make the greenskins unkillable.. also how do orks and goblins grow and develop differently? thats not an issue in 40k because orks are the actual race where as fantasy green skins are the race with multiple sub types with their own civilisations

23:00 you are being intercepted because you have an army sieging the great bastion fortress and then go into the zone of control of the fortress. (Walk right in front of the fortress through the field you see in yhe opening of the battle) They added this to thr AI so that you can't just siege the fortess and pass through the bastion with another army snd start sacking settlements, nullifying the entire point of a great bastion with fortified fortresses.
The lord starts off with a sun dragon, and also “dragon” princes so for the sake of the video we consider them “dragons” I think it could give him a fighting chance
Using Lore of Hashut casters would go really well with hobgoblins, since you can cast Ash Storm to make the flaming arrows hit like a truck after giving everything weakness to fire damage.
23:00 Yeah forts do that in TWW3 I have no idea why. If you siege them, any army walking in their zone of influence will trigger an attack, even if it's another faction walking in during the end turn (as long as they're at war with eachother obviously)
@@additionalstupidityI managed to get an army encamping on top of their settlement. I couldn’t take it or attack them, and could only wait until they recruited a full 20 stack. Thankfully, I was playing Wurrzag with a Waagh, so I still took it, but still, how?

Hey, how do you trick the AI into doing things like leaving half their army behind or charging with their peasant bowmen? Ive been playing for a few hundred hours now and I cant seem to figure out how to make the ai do much more than fall for a false gap or something simple like that

Not quite sure how your 'Very Hard' AI is playing a million times worse than an AI on normal, but sure. As a Cathay player, I'd love to have my peasants make a turnip farmer out of your Zathan. Currently playing Miao Ying on Legendary and after Zathan attacked me once, I proceeded to exterminate every single Chaos Dwarf faction on the map, and then the regular dwarves, and the orcs, just to be sure I'm rid of all this trash.
