      TY. It's definitely our Happy Place. More rain than normal has kept the grass etc green even in the heat.😃

      We're quite excited. However, the one pepper I bought at the nursery is not what it was labeled.....it's "hot" and not a Corono Di Toro. Too bad, as that was my husband's fav pepper last year.

    Beautiful peppers and tomatoes! And exciting varieties. I read you had rain, hope no tornado, and hope it dries up, so you get lovely harvests from these plants.

      7 Tornados in the area but we were thankfully untouched. TY for thinking of us.
      Well we had more rain yesterday......now standing water. Oh well the raised beds drain well so they should do OK. At least there is sun in-between these weather events.

    You have the best t-shirts Robin I love them!! Your tomatoes look SO healthy I am so jealous, wow just wow! Speechless.
    Cool story about that pocketbook tomato too, I've never seen anything like that before and the aji mango was way bigger than I had anticipated 🍅🌶️ x

      Al tried the supposed Corono Di Toro was hot...so it's been mislabeled at the nursery ---bummer.

      TY Steve.🥰
      Santium Sunrise doesn't have many fruits for its size. However, R. Pocketbook and B B-Fast are both super loaded. TToP is a slower starter this year.

      @@RobinGardens I'll check on my SS later today, Robin, but they were great last year. Now, where did I plant them? LOL

    Oh, wow! Your tomatoes and peppers are looking less like a garden and more like a FOREST, Robin! I know people love their Barry’s Crazy Cherry but I’ve never seen one in action like that. I hope you like cherry tomatoes because I think you’re going to be swimming in them soon! I almost bought seeds for Mini Marzano, but I have seeds for San Marzano instead for next year. But tell me how they are and if you cook with them! I like the idea of the MM. (Your t-shirt is cracking me up) Thank you for sharing!

      Ya I have a bit of a pack it too tight problem. But most years I some how make it work. We have been having the rains like you had earlier......some standing water even. Hope we can stay ahead of the fungal issues🤞🍀🥰

    Wow awesome peppers 🫑 mine are thinking about it. I think everything is acting different 😂 this year. My daughter said the Aji is hot but not too bad (she likes hot though). Really love the tomato boxes. Your tomatoes are way ahead of mine but the extreme heat has caused a bit of flower drop too. Have a super day send rain 😂, Ali 28c at 9 am 🌞🥵🇨🇦

      OHHHH you are the reason I have standing water in the yard LOL.
      Well good to know about those Aji Mangos....they are a real producer for sure. I'm going to make pepper jelly for my family that likes hot.

    It’s looking very nice Robin especially those Dr Whytche’s (unsure if I spelled that correctly). Mine are limping along but starting to see some wee fruits (except hot ones those seem fine but of course not what I’m really hoping for 😂)

    • @RobinGardens
      @RobinGardens  Месяц назад

      TY. Yes those Dr. W's are the largest in the garden for sure, they might even beat the cherry varieties ripening. Or might just be my wishful thinking. Looks like we're dry for a few days now, so that should spur growth.

    Wow! What a fantastic array of tomatoes and peppers. Am I right in thinking you don't remove the side shoots on your tomatoes?

    • @RobinGardens
      @RobinGardens  Месяц назад

      I do remove the bottom 2' of suckers and some leaf branches, then most but not all above that on all indeterminate's except cherry varieties. We get hotter here and the toms benefit from some extra cover to prevent sun scald.
      Powdery mildew has arrived, so tomorrow I will be pruning and pulling lots of things.
      My mini Marzano has some blushing happening. So crazy harvest time is right around the corner.
      Hubby harvested The Corono Di Toro while I was away (I told him to film it LOL) and they are not what we bought...they are hotties. Last year we had "peppergate" here in the US and often what you bought was not what it was supposed to be. Well it happened again.

      They can fool you and turn around on a dime. Or can look spindly and weak and then produce.
