Alex, from another brother that recently started his own weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey. Thank you for uploading this. I wish you the absolute best.
P.S: Don't underestimate the power of walking. Getting those 10k steps a day does make a huge difference. Physically and mentally. "if you can't spring, jog, if you can jog, walk". Little by little you get better.

This is really cool. Thank you for putting something out like this. I deeply relate and understand every moment of this. I have for sure dealt with this in a pretty radical way and got to my own personal limit (250) on April 4th of this year and after dropping 25lbs I was able to get the confidence to be on camera again for my own RUclips channel. I am still on my journey. About 20lbs left for me before I’m at comfort weight. I have the curse and the blessing of being tall (6’4) so I can get pretty heavy without people noticing too much. Anyways, I’m rambling. Good luck pal, you got this! The Progresspics subreddit is an incredible community for encouragement btw!

In world where there is constant pressure to accept over size people , you come out and speak to how dangerous it is as addiction. Something I can really appreciate because we shouldn’t encourage that kind addiction and “ accept it” by offering two free seats in airline for example. I truly wish you best in your journey. You seem like a really nice person.

I can relate Alex. I was almost 300 pounds, and had many of those same feelings that you mentioned when I was growing up. At 13 I pretended to be sick so I wouldn't have to go to a class pool party because I was too embarrassed to take off my shirt.
I had to have a mini tummy tuck last year to remove loose skin from my body. I'll have more procedures done in the future, but I can promise you that the lifestyle change is well worth it. Welcome to your new life.

Dude, you can go far for sure.
I know what it’s like dealing with being overweight. I used to be 150lbs in grade 5. I felt so insecure. I would wear a shirt when swimming, because of it…. I knew I had to change things. Around grade 10 I really focused hard on eating healthy, and eating LESS! I used to have like 3 donuts in one sitting, just because they were “fresh” damn they tasted so good. It was like a drug… it took me about 5 years, but in college I was able to get down to about 8-9% body fat, where I could actually see a pack of muscles lol. Lifting weights was a HUGE reason for the weight loss. Building muscle (by lifting heavy weights ) in combination with a bit of cardio and a lot of dieting/ eating right, was the success factor for me.
I know you can achieve it too ! It’s more mental than anything…. It was so hard at first, learning to say NO to a slice of pizza or cookie , or donut, or chips. So hard
    It’s a lifetime mental battle.
You can do it with the right mindset. I’m following your channel now. You do amazing work for Graham. I’m curious to see your results 5 years out. Don’t get discouraged, it will take a long time. Stay disciplined

This was such a great video. It was so well done so will edited and so meaningful. Congratulations on your great start so far. I have over 100 lbs that I need to live. We recently filmed a video and we're putting it up on our channel and I hated seeing myself in it. I was really uncomfortable and we can't exactly edit me out without completely screwing up the shot and it's not something we can easily shoot. I just have to live with it but it doesn't make me very happy it's hard to get motivated to go ahead and do what you know you need to do. I waited for a long time for a gym to be built near my house because the other one was over 13 miles away on a terrible freeway and when I finally got the gym built the pandemic yet and then of course I couldn't go there anymore. Even prior to everything being shut down I got sick with covid and I couldn't go to the gym for over a week because I got really messed up from it. I managed to get to go for another day and then everything shut down the day after that. I figured I would just build my own gym instead because I have the space to do that on and of course the price of wood went up and that didn't happen. Bought myself a gym equipment and I'm working on putting it in our extra room instead of building a dedicated room for the gym. Of course I have to do all the other stuff first which means cleaning out my office so I can move the stuff out of the gym room into my office so I can actually make the gym. It's so much easier just to sit back and watch RUclips and not do what I need to do
So I guess it's time to finish cleaning out my office and get my gym set up and stop making excuses

I love this! I wish you the best on your journey. I grew up with a lot of trauma and it messes with my mind and body.
I have been in foster care, foster care shelters, homeless shelters, and at some point I lived in my car and on the streets. I use to always over eat and/or wonder where will my next meal come from or eat because I was depressed or felt like I was not good enough. I have been bullied my whole about my weight and think others stare and judge me. I remember I’d have to buy bugle boy clothes or shop at Casual Male and pay a mark up because I’m bigger. I finally had enough and went to see a bariatric surgeon a few years ago and it changed my life forever. I have about 60 pounds to go before I can do all of my excess of skin removal surgeries. but now I can go into Walmart and buy clothes that are on the shelf. It’s amazing what having the right tools, the right supports, and the right mindset can do to one’s life. Now I blog about it because someone else is suffering in silence and it’s my hope they see my stuff and know they are not alone. They are loved. I wish you the best on your journey and will definitely keep watching your progress. You got this man and I’m rooting for you.
