I have instep issues, these binding are definitely on my list.
I rode them with my K2 Thraxis boots on, EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE, IN EVERY CONDITION.😂

Easily my favorite binding. Sold all my other bindings for it.
Nothing wrong with paying a premium so long as you get the quality you want in return. Investing in the best quality equipment has not just allowed me to become a better rider, but a safer one as well due to less fatigue at the end of the day, and being dialed-in at all times.
I just picked up the yellow Katanas, cant wait to try them out. But $200 extra for just the high back? seems steep

Astro has a thicker foot pad creating a more damp ride.
What are you thoughts on Arbor's Crypress? I haven't seen anything about Arbor from you!
You ever think there's a reason for that lately?
Seeing the price tag on these makes me think about what the most expensive board/binding/boot combo is... . From what I can find in the UK it's Jones Ultralight Project X/Jones Apollo/ Burton SLX. Total cost around £3k...
Lib Cygnus should be on there too.
So if you’re not going mess with high back canting or other advanced adjustments, is there any reason to own these over the Katana or and Astro Asym?
Realistically no.
I think all those adjustments are avaliable with the Katanas, at least mine have it all.
What if used one of these on my front foot and the new Union force on by back?

Yo angry, you mentioned that you don't use highback canting. Do you ever adjust the highback rotation?

Seems like Rome has the most adjustability in the game. And that Auxtech is easily the best strap, yes? Now, Jones, Rome, and Bataleon all use it.
Most adjustable, definitely. Best strap, debatable.

And I now ride with my Rome Black Label bindings and K2 thraxis boots...seriously...I found the black labels on sale last year for like $350, they are sick, and I cant the high backs...and the thraxis is by far the best boot I have ever owned, had some k2 maysis before and they were terrible compared to the thraxis...I dont find the thraxis too stiff, I just think they have more padding and support, and If i need to i just loosen up the top lace boa for a little play...so thanks Angry!

I have the Maysis and think its ok just bulky. My feet are never sore during or after riding. Thraxis much better eh?
