I got a headunit like that from dasaita and it has a built in DSP..and they have options for some vehicles that have the factory trim pieces so when you install it it still looks factory..so now my 2015 corolla S has a 10inch touch screen in the dash and it looks factory still...I really really like it..Its like having a tablet in my car I can download games and Netflix and all the regular apps a tablet can get..its pretty bad ass honestly
I got the Dual 10” head unit with CarPlay and android auto, I was deciding between this one and the Dual and chose dual due to looks and the fact that it has an actual volume knob, but also was only $210. So far it’s been good and has 3 or 4 pre amp outputs too
I'm going to run Kenwood myself. About 379 for the Kenwood or about 500 for a touchscreen I was looking at a lot of units but Kenwood has good pre outs and front rear and sub. I was also looking at a sony unit because Sony has unbelievable sound processing equipment inside of their units for 3d Atmos and just awesome sound so that's why I was looking into Sony I also want to get an old school CD changer hehehe cause I still buy and love CDs but yeah
I just bought one of those screens for $200 for my Subaru, has a built in DSP which is surprisingly impressive. That actually fit and looks really good in that truck. Thanx for the vid
I did a budget setup for my nephew with the ATOTO F7 XE (7" double din) and I think it was great for the price ($140 refurb). It has wireless CarPlay/AudroidAuto, it's hard to beat at that price. Sure, it's no Excelon but it gets the job done and the built in mic is convenient. It's the source for a Jensen XDA92RB and a Kicker CXA800.1, the internal amp's rear channels are hooked to his stock rears for rear fill but everything else is amped.

I've run one of these for about a year and honestly I want to go back to a high quality 1 din, I run a Sony DSX-GS80 in my other car and I wish i could find another. If i need screen/nav i can just use my phone.
I bought the Alpine iLX w650 when it first came out for $299 plus shipping. Not they are asking crazy prices for them. They are a great head unit at the $300 Mark if you can find one but they are mostly used at the orice now. It is a 7 inch screen but I bought it because of the sound quality and the ability to just use thumb drives for my music. I carry around tons of drives. The 4 volt pre-outs comes in handy for my amps as well.

Love the multi line display which is non-existent these days for a single plus it has a great dsp. i have a kenwood double din in my other vehicle. I've heard a lot of good things on that Atoto. whats wrong with wire nuts? as long as you get the right size it shouldnt be a problem. only down side i could see is the bulkiness. I would say wire nuts are a better connection than those solder heat shrinks you used. There are videos of them being cut open and you can see the solder doesnt flow through the wire strands like a traditional solder iron would do. I personally solder all my connection with a solder iron but I would still use wire nuts before those hot air solder heat shrink things
I've had bad experiences with off brand decks, so I tend to stick with brands that I know will put out quality. That being said, this actually doesn't look bad, and it seems to have more than enough features to get the job done. 😎👍
Personally, I am very interested in the latest Joying headunits. They have many styles and sizes. They were one of the few to have SPDIF digital outputs. Their 2022 units have also included digital coaxial outputs. Thats a game changer since it can control volume. There are lots of DSP's on the market using SPDIF inputs and a lot even have coaxial inputs. They have powerful processors and lots of RAM. You can even upgrade for more RAM and storage space. They also have units that are full touchscreen, have physical buttons or a volume knob plus physical buttons. Their prices are not much more at $300-$440. They even have a similar 10" with single DIN mount with volume knob for $420. They have add-on kits if you want access to OBD2, TPMS, DVR, etc... I've not seen anything comparable.
thats what i bought is an 11.6 in joying and i dint regret it one bit . the sound quality is awesome . Teyes is the brand i really wanted but shipping was gonna take forever.
These have been reviewed by a lot of people. All good or great reviews. I’m thinking of going this route for my build. I think they have a S8. Think that’s the one I’m going with
That radio u removed and said is useless I'd love to have that radio I've been a subscriber for a very long time and would keep that head unit forever and put it to good use . My head unit was recently stolen and with supporting taking care of my family I cannot afford a new head unit so I'm driving to work with no music . Thanks parker for the awesome video.
I take back what I said about the s8 premium. It has a flimsy data ribbon cable. The unit is not made to be reinstalled multiple times. I can almost guarantee you that something will mess up. You need to run all of everything that you plug into the back the first time because it will break. My unit powers up, but the touchscreen doesn't work anymore. I don't even want a replacement. I'm thinking about getting the F7, but I might just spend money on an Alpine f511? The s8 seemed fine at first, but I took it out to run rca's and the touchscreen stopped working. The F7 data ribbon cable is stationary, but it is loose on the s8.
You should've got the s8 premium. It has separate 16 band eq's for front and rear and crossover for front and rear. It has time alignment. The only thing it doesn't have is db octave adjustment. It has almost everything that Pioneer has for the audio adjustment, and all it needs is an Audiocontrol Matrix.
Following this build for sure with great interest. I definitely want to see how that head unit holds up with bass in the truck. It looks like a good inexpensive option compared to the rest that I could try in my vehicle if it holds.
This actually looks perfect for my usage. I have an 08 Scion XD that i just use a BT to aux adapter for and its frustratingly limited. I think this is probably gonna be the way i end up going if i decide to start upgrading my audio system. Thanks!!! Good content!

I agree with the rubberized volume knob. I hate the push button volume that is the norm now, I have no idea why that’s seemingly the only option on these new units
I have one and they are not reliable. I have the 10.1 s8 premium. The s8 is a real android based radio, and the f7 has nothing but carplay and android auto. There is no playstore to give you any freedom. The touchscreen on my s8 stopped working. I'm looking at getting the Kenwood 1057xr
