the j-mod is awesome. i did that to a 98 mustang gt auto several years ago. easy to do and really noticable effects. i did that with a 3.73 gear and it would bark second and kick the rear end out some . made it actually fun to drive.

Before I did the 5 speed, I did jmod and it was an amazing difference! Actually gave me better throttle response on top of firmer shifts. Also to be more cost-effective
If you are not using the altinator pulley then go with 3V 4.6 Summit U/D kit. SUM-C2512 $143.97. The Summit Racing underdrive pulleys are great quality and, I've had them on my car for 4 years and never had any issues! 😉 Great video!!
Did you do the 5-speed yourself or did you find someone to do it? How did you do your pedal assembly? I'm not qualified to do either.. if I ever get a P71 and put manual, I'll likely have to hire that out
I agree with all of these suggestions, except for lowering the Crown Vic. I like Crown Vics because they are almost like SUV's in that they can go over a curb no problem and can handle off roading fairly well for a CAR. A higher vehicle also means its going to get less rust and wear and tear on the bottom of it in comparison to a low riding vehicle. A low riding vehicle is also a pain when going over speed bumps....even at a slow speed.

it's dumb to lower vehicles in the real world a vehicle really should be raised a little bit not Lowered.
Height of a vehicle holds absolutely no bearing on how a vehicle rusts..a lifted truck will rust just as fast as a lowered car if neither are cared for..it sounds like you want a worry free opportunity to beat your car up and that does not exist
Better mpg. If your tuning your vid every little bit helps and a lower drag coefficient means better mpg
Some crownvics were actually taller from factory depending on department and area of vehicles destination. Some areas require more ground clearance. And when police go over curbs they don’t wanna bust off their oil pan haha
Had a New Mexico detective & a CHP Crown Vic the New Mexico was taller but the CHP was pretty low. Definitely can see why the CHP was low for high speed chases. Would suggest building a aluminum flat floor if you go lower
The CVPIs actually had HIGHER ride heights to give them more ground clearance. So, lowering springs will definitely improve handling in these cars.
I would love to see a part 3! I would suggest front and rear sway bars and the billet upper and lower rear control arms. as well as for the civilian models the p71 one piece drive shaft and required spacer from adtr
Nice car man. I like that Cobra R side exhaust you did. Yo, I watched that vid of the heat extractor you put in. Very big improvement over that ugly piece of sheetmetal you yanked off a water fountain and riveted to your hood. For real it looks way cool now. Clean.

It needs to be noted that 05' and up owners have no need for the Jmod. The internal upgrades Ford made are already in place. When my 4R75W was rebuilt and upgraded, it was simply re-tuned on the dyno. And with an SCT tuner you can still make trans adjustments.
I’ve had the same experience with the older model (98-04) as well..the sct makes the j-mod almost pointless

Abdul Hassan The SCT tune relives the pressure on the gears in the same way the j-mod does so it too will extend the life of the transmission

Marauder intake tube and box, 2008 and up fuel systems which are flex fuel vehicles.
Proper lowering is a 2 inch spindle drop kits. This way full suspension travel is not compromised as it would be with lowering springs

I have a 03 and an 05 CVPI bone stock, The 05 is about an inch or two higher and does not have the traction lock differential. I wonder if the CVPI is normally lower than the civi version. In other words maybe the lack of the traction loc diff gets a different suspension height? I was very disappointed when I saw only one tire spin on the 05 thought the diff was messed up. After researching the Axle codes a bit I discovered it came with a standard 8.8 differential. It's a project car so I'll have to hit the junkyard or search to see if it can be upgraded. Yes u can as long as you dump 1 can per 15 gallons dont cheap out or you wont have a motor ;)
Adding a fart can muffler seems to double the horsepower of a Civic I can only imagine what it could do for a crown Vic!!!!

To be honest these are mostly worthless mods stick with your stock Vic and save that money for the things that go wrong on your car

I was into vics but got out and jumped into Jeep wj with the 4.7l ho.man now they move I spent not even 300 and I'm in the 14s In a quarter.but not hating on vics all I'm saying is just keep them stock who knows when the manifold will crack or the suspension will bust apart.

It depends on the year..bagging it is way too expensive..do a little research, there are plenty of low buck methods that will work great

I love my CVPI it's the best car I've owned the only thing I'm having a problem with is I can't find lowering springs for it anywhere and don't know if they actually make them or not I think I'm just going to have to bag it even though I don't want to...

Moose Chocolate I actually own 3 CVPI. I have a 99 all stock. A 03 I lifted did a 4x4 swap on it with a nice set of 18x9 Havok Off-road H-109 wheels that I use for mudding and I have my o7 with a 6-speed coyote swap in it which of course is the one I want to lower that's the last thing I need to do to it before I get it off to paint.

🤓 Question, no one has mention it, is their a MOD to remove the rear seats and chassis so u can convert it into a station wagon? Trunk and Rear Seat area make it flat? And what about for the snow since no 4wd, is it enuf to switch to snow tires in the winter or do we need to carry tire chains or attach a huge front tow hook and a long truckers tow chain? 😍

The 4r75 does not need it as it’s an updated version on the 4r70 that actually has the components of the j-mod already
One of the best mods is a lift kit and some massive rims or if your gonna go threw the trouble of lowering it use air bags so you can set height and bee cool... Haha

Get an electric water pump will get you way more than under drive pulleys
underdrive pulleys just allow the motor to rev faster. you dont really GAIN hp you just free up hp to the wheels.
This is not 100% correct..you only have a piece of the puzzle here..most aftermarket pulleys are lighter than factory pulleys this freeing up rotational weight allowing the crank to spin faster with less drag thus freeing more usable power
Yes but stock pullies vs lighter pullies rotational weight, NOT 10hp. maybe 2 If youre lucky 5. 5hp is NOT significant what so ever in a 2ton car
I can agree with the power improvement is not as significant in a heavy car but in the search for net power all the little stuff helps out so I’ll take it lol..
None of these mods by themselves is going to make a difference. But the right combination of several mods. Such as a MZT and 2.5 exhaust along with the underdrive pulleys will give you a noticeable gain.
I think for the bang a set of 4.10's brightens up the low end, some of those PI's had 2.73's in them

NO, those smaller pulleys will NOT "give your engine horsepower" -- but what they WILL do is reduce rotating weight and reduce pumping losses, which allows more of the engine's power to reach the rear wheels.
You lost all your credibility when you suggested steel braided hoses. There is zero performance increase by changing the material the hose is constructed of.
