At 6:45pm she texts a friend.
At 7pm after not hearing from her, the parents call authorities.

To be fair to the 'psychic' lady, I think your brain's subconscious is much better at connecting dots and noticing things that you aren't even really aware of then you might think.
For example, I was walking to a supermarket 20 minutes from my house when I was 18 and saw an ambulance rushing off down the road towards my house (my house is NOT isolated, there are thousands of other homes down this road) and said, out loud, "That ambulance is for grandma."
I remember a lady at a nearby bus stop giving me a weird look, and I started running back home. When I got there, grandma was being taken to the hospital and died later that night.
It was not a guess, as I'd seen plenty of ambulances driving past in the previous weeks without it even crossing my mind that it would be for grandma, but I'd been cooking for her and whatnot for the past few months and somehow my subconscious just _knew_ she was about to die. I've almost never felt as sure about anything as I was that the ambulance was for her, it was almost freaky how sure I was.
I had a similar thing happen with one of my childhood pet cats too. He showed no symptoms of anything and, as far as we can tell, he died of old age after wandering off. When I last saw him, I felt strongly that "this is the last time I'll see you" and so gave him extra attention. I was right, and I never saw him again.
The other childhood cat suddenly developed water in her lungs and died when I was away for a week, and I had zero intuition that she would die before I left. I think that makes sense as it was a sudden development, unexpected as she was younger than the other cat, but both grandma and my other cat were old and my subconscious clearly understood how close they were to death much better than I ever could put into words.
I've also heard stories of people coming forward as witnesses for stuff like kidnappings where they saw the person being driven off in passing but had no indication that anything was wrong. They just saw a car with people in it driving by and didn't make note of it, to the point where they can't even remember what colour the car is. But their subconscious noticed something they didn't, and when they hear police asking for information they suddenly feel like they know something, which is later proven to be correct, despite not being able to explain how or why they know.
It wouldn't surprise me if Etta had seen the three boys and girl driving into or in the direction of the canyon, perhaps she was driving the other way and passed them by. She didn't make any note of it, or even give them any attention, but somewhere in her mind her subconscious found something wrong with the situation and remembered it. Thus, she had a strong feeling that the girl was dead in that canyon, but couldn't actually remember ever seeing anything that would explain why she was sure.
This means, from her perspective, she heard "girl missing" and her subconscious instantly sprang up with "Girl in the canyon." But she can't consciously remember witnessing the event, so from her perspective it's effectively a vision from nowhere.

This is a good theory! Most of us aren't aware of our surrounding; not until we instantly remember every detail even though we haven't noted it, and shrugged it off thinking it was a "normal" interaction. Looking back, all I can say that our body is impressively perplexing!

@@dena81 you can't just assume what someone would do after going through that kind of trauma. I don't think Bart even said that his dad was the only factor putting pressure on him, but even if he had, it doesn't make sense to think that you could predict what his dad would do after losing literally his *entire family* other than Bart. Him trying to stay close to the only family member he has left doesn't prove that he wasn't strict with Bart prior to that.
On the contrary, I think it makes sense that a strict/overbearing parent, who also supports/is taken advantage of by their child financially, would continue to support them even after this. I've known kids with rich parents who would be strict on the surface, but would also continuously forgive their kid and bail them out after terrible behavior.

In almost every instance of a case being finally solved years later there's evidence of arrogant and ignorant investigators making assumptions, or just ignoring blatant evidence because it doesn't suit the narrative they've built in their own heads. These people are often so insanely egotistical they attempt to force reality to conform to their opinions, instead of allowing the evidence to speak for itself.

With that said, it was clearly unintentional and surely an accident, so on one hand I agree, 10 years DOES seem like a stiff bid to do in prison, but is it really when you think about the fact that he, (even though it was unintentional) took another mans life? There's no take backs, that's forever. In the grand scheme of things, and I'm just playing devils advocate here, it doesn't seem too bad considering if he walked a straight line in prison, surely got out in at least 5 years on parole. People get far more time, for far less things most of which of which don't result in a death.

I remember iara’s case for years it had all of us in Italy glued to our tvs awaiting developments on the case, to this day it is still brought up, especially since not too long before or after this case another girl disappeared

Ive read and saw videos about the last case. This just shows that police were incompetence so easily missed that one detail of covered 'bullet hole' in the wall. It also introduces me to Ken Brennan cases

These were some horrible cases but the part that stuck with me the most is the photo of Bart in the restaurant holding up the dessert. It was supposed to say CONGRATULATIONS but instead it said "CONCRATULATIONS" lol

If Lance Mueller got 10 years for an accidental discharge, maybe Alec Baldwin deserves the same.

15:24 But who's blood was it? It had to be someone's. Also could police hear conversations like that? How does it work?

If you’re still confused by how a bullet could have entered the groin and gone up through the torso in the last case, it was determined that the victim was laying on the bed facing the room where the gun went off.

One tjing I'm confused about is where the bullet ended up? I'm assuming it was in his body somewhere if there was no exit wound. Maybe in his heart?

I have seen many programs about Bart. I can't remember the name. But another boy drove from his college and shot his parents while they slept. The mother survived. She too stands by her son. Swears he would never do such a thing. Its amazing what people will do to hide a secret. I love my children. But do something this heinous. And you need to face the charges.
We lived a few miles from San Marino. It was a big story at the time. I imagine the daughter/wife is there someplace still.
Poor woman never knew her son never did leave her.

I have seen the case about Bart but when I read about it the death sentence had not been commuted yet and I thought it was amazing that his father was still supporting his son after killing his wife and other son and trying to kill him as well , it shows that a parents love for their child is unconditional. He is a great person that's for sure

Great video. Very detailed. I know one thing, no way I'd want to spend life in a men's prison as a young man. Not after watching documentaries about what goes on in some of these prisons. I know these people have committed horrendous crimes, and deserve to be locked up. But, we are a country of laws. And that is supposed to be what separates us from other countries that practice human rights abuses. It's awful some of the horror stories that I have read about.

I've no doubt that Barts only regret is that he got caught & his father didn't die.
I understand loving your kids but Bart's father shows how Bart got to where he was. Obviously the parents never held him responsible for his actions & always coddled him.
