    I think what really gives us anxiety is artifact grind and the fact that we can't get event exclusive weapons again

    Here’s a pretty nice idea for them that’s been in the back of my mind for quite a while. A boss rush, basically spiral, but with trounce domain bosses.

    The anxiety inducing is finishing the time limited event which also requires you to finish story quest first before playing that event. So new players will only hastily finish the story quest in order to access those time limited quests.

    I have a feeling the casual majority is detrimenting us by begging for them not to add more endgame content because of their anxiety towards it.

      Im an asian in highschool extension class meaning i get 10x the amount of work as others and yet have a plethra of different characters built and have a full understanding f the combat system. I also play other games, have a social life workout etc.
      So yes, most casuals are extremley lazy, one of my friends that has been playing longer then me and pretty much ignores their schoolwork loves genshn yet can't even pass the first raiden shogun boss fight and are only ar 40.

      @@takik.2220 With all due respect but this isn't a good example. Your friend obviously doesn't love Genshin because anyone that truly loves Genshin would most likely be much further and more invested then they are. That's not an example of laziness but simply an example of lacking interest.
      You on the other hand are a hardcore player and not a casual one. The fact that you're flexing about having a large amount of characters built while also having so much work to do but still are able to have a social life, workout and play other games is a perfect example of a hardcore gamer. You probably spend a large portion of your Genshin time tediously grinding artifacts and resources to build up these characters which is exactly what hardcore gamers do.
      I am a casual player. I only have a few characters build at AR 55 and yet I've got plently of time to build more but I'm simply not interested. Not because I'm lazy but because Genshin's resource and artifact grind is EXTREMELY poorly designed. Why would I care about grinding the Deepwood Artifact set if Goblets can drop with Anemo bonus as their main stat. It's an Artfifact set specifically designed for Dendro characters.
      I've probably grinded the Emblem of Severed Fate set over 100 times for my Raiden and still she isn't optimized. At a certain point it just makes you want to slit your wrists. So actual casual gamers aren't lazy. We simply aren't stupid to waste so much time grinding for no reason.

    the main problem isn't really that there isn't harder endgame content, its more like there aren't enough "branches" for it. like more variation in customization, no rankings, nothing other than the existing one mode, and in my experience with like the 30 other gachas i play, the main motivator for me in the genre of real-time combat gacha games is the gameplay and cosmetics, so if a character doesn't seem like they'd be FUN to play usually i don't even bother. if it was turn'based like i expect star-rail to be i think i'd probably think more about the numbers and cosmetics, but in a game like genshin usually i prioritize characters i expect to be on field for longer periods of time.

    To be fair, the Spiral Abyss before the nerf was very difficult.
    The bigger problem of "endgame" they need to address is the artifact system.
    Can't be bothered to touch the abyss if i get attack artifacts for healers and, defense artifacts for attackers. (in my case i indeed bother with the spiral abyss but, i can't 36 star it because most of my chars have a literal singular good artifact.) (most are off pieces.) I farm for Itto i get barbrafacts (which would be nice, if they were the clam set.) I farm for Tartalia i get, Healer artifacts. I literally get shit on with most of my Artifact rolls. Still needs better end game for the players who actually reach that point though.
    (have cleared the abyss by this point, still not 36 stars though. (Though triple crowning specific char types will help alleviate the lack of good artifacts.))
    P.S./sidenote. I could use copium but, that gets depressing. I remember building Keqing for example, best artifacts i could get in a large amount of time. Maxed out at 8k dps on her, i thought wtf?!
    i slapped those on fischl, haven't changed her artis since, she's doing 10k. i believe both were at Talent level 5. (granted i look back and, it's possible my fischl might've had the Constellation talent boost but still.) My main dps at the time was worse than my sub dps with long term farming. (also side note, that farming for keqing may have traumitized me from artifact farming for characters.)
    I have since slapped a singular good artifact on Itto and Tortellini and, they top out at 10k while triple crowned. (will farm more artifacts in the future but, i'd rather have 2-3 teams that can be interchanged for the spiral abyss than two decent copium team builds.)

    I guess I don't need to spend anymore money since I've already beat the hardest content. Kind of have anxiety since there really isn't anything else to do but wait for more paimon dialog that goes on for too long with every cutscene.

      @@Lukas-ce6jy I've been logging in doing my daily and letting my resin cap to 160 since forever and i still clear the abyss while being f2p and almost perfect try everytime. Literally playing the game the most casual way possible. And i have what u called "a life".

    I am not sure if you've heard about the theory that this is a way for hoyo to push players to their other games(I also heard they took some similar bizzare decisions with honkai too at the start, so maybe they do it with their cash cows. If anyone's played honkai please confirm). But I think they're going for a different strategy.
    I think they're buying into the waifu-over-meta thinking. While what you said is true, why alienate your paying base, you miss out on the waifu payers. Hoyo might truly believe that the community (the cultured part)will hype chars enough to make them pay. They are adding all sorts of stuff that doesn't fit genshin, but captures more demographics. They aim to funnel them to other hoyo games or make them pay here.
    The strat is risky, but I think they calculated it. Put a new char out, give them a big part in the story and run them next to a rerun char. This seems to work. Imagine if you saw Eula/Albedo fighting against Dvalin too. Would you pull more for them? Hoyo thinks yes.
    Yae sales were bad, but they were indirectly able to buff her later. More successfully with kokomi. They do think they can get away with niche 5*(Nilou will be the first proper test) and if it works, expect this trend to continue.
    Awesome story with all 5*s making an appearance, drip them so community hypes them, make c2 VERY good to tempt....in case they need a boost, rerun a proven waifu like Hu Tao.

    How to make new type of permanent content that is useful for both new and veteran players:
    Make a co-op weekly challenge where 4 players are matched to go through a randomly generated dungeon (that reuses assets from the game of course).
    Player's characters are nerfed to level 80 if they are above level 80. (Balancing reasons since the enemies there aren't supposed to have any buffs other than the natural multipliers of vs 4 players)
    If any of the characters are bellow level 80, they are temporarily leveled up accordingly.
    Players are supposed to go through the dungeon searching for interactive rooms. There are three types of interactive rooms. These are, combat rooms, buff rooms and the rarest one being the chest rooms.
    (Common) Combat rooms: Players are forced to fight a wave of enemies, when cleared give a random buff.
    (Uncommon)Buff rooms: Gives you a buff instantly, but they have a small chance of damaging the full party's max HP for the remainder of the trial. (the gambling part is so that players are punished for being too greedy)
    (Rare)Chest rooms: Restores the players HP and gives them extra artifact boxes. (Artifact boxes will be explained later)
    When the team clears atleast 7 combat rooms they unlock the boss room.
    The boss room is the last part of the challenge where players are forced to defeat the boss within a timer (It can be any boss currently in the game other than weekly bosses), the timer isn't important, the objetive is to kill the boss before the timer ends or atleast damage it as much as possible.
    Depending on how much damage was done before they died (death occurs also by timer reaching 0) or if the boss was killed, the players will recieve up to 10 artifact boxes.
    Artifact boxes are items used to claim artifacts from any of the domains in the game, 2 artifacts can be claimed from each box. (stats are still random doe)
    There is no primogem reward (although it would be amazing).
    An event like this would be enough for me to actually have fun again instead of a lazy card game.

      You guys could argue that giving prebuilt characters is better, but for this to actually give them a marketing bonus would be other players indirectly showing you characters you don't have. If they perform well, this could mean that a player might want that character in the future. Pontentially causing more money to rain in.
      Of course this will never happen cuz Hoyoverse cares only about money, not how effective they are at getting it. All they have to do is release characters and they have an infinite money farm.
      Why bother making good actual content if people are willing to buy a 3d model that is literally the same as the other model you already have, but with a different skin and attacks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    When they said they won't do abyss-like content and how can everyone thinks that they won't do combat content? There's also a leak in CN comunity said MHY will add more elemental reactions and other combat endgame content.
    When they talk about anxiety, I think they're trying to suppress the inflaction of dmg which is a chronic poison for gacha-game, more dps required environment makes old characters useless and that's where anxiety comes from. They don't hope player pay for dmg but for characters themselves.

    i think the whole content creator saying you're bad if you can't clear spiral abyss comes from the fact that many content creator says the game is very easy and could be done on any character like most of the time, which you could extrapolate into, if you can't clear it then you're bad
    might be wrong tho :C

    I never understood how the abyss causes anxiety for players who don't care to do the abyss in the first place. Is it because they lose out on the rewards? really? 600 primogems? But if we count a whole patch they do add up to a 10 pull with three resets.

    "worked" is subjective. what worked for you doesn't mean it's worked for the company. if the company isn't doing something that "worked" they wouldn't have become the successful multi-billion company they are now. statistics don't lie.

    That is the worst about this game. Why we spend money on this game? After an "interview" like that?
    I mean, yea I am the problem as well, I do buy welkin and bp. Sometimes some wishes to get c0 chars I want, but this is why this company is so predatory and terrifying.
    They aren't making stuff because they worry about their player community, they aren't making stuff because they can't, they aren't making stuff because they cannot afford.
    They are not making stuff, because they don't want. Why would they? The game brings them billions upon billions of dollars at this state, why would they spend a single penny on it expending its entertainment factor, when people are spending endless amount of money on the game anyway.
    Rather, they make collabs for more ads and obviously more gacha games for more profit.
    Yes, I do love the game. The game has a beautiful scenery, and the music is jaw dropping. The cutscenes are awesome and the lore is a friendly mediocore level - *cough* not inazuma *cough - but it has a hell amount of problems since day one.
    Some characters aren't working like they intended, allmost all characters could use a rebalance update. I remember Ganyu, missed a ton of voice lines at release, for example low-damage voice overs, and idle sound effects.
    Endless amount of RNG in layers, on artifact farming
    No end-game content, Abyss is stupid with its difficulty sometimes - Yes I did 12-9, and I'm skipping it since, that 150 primo aren't worth the anger.
    Resin is still the dumbest way to limit the players.
    The Wishing system is predatory as hell, but who am I? They won't fix a money making machine for them i guess.
    Characters still have day 1 animations, they aren't improved. The photo feature hasn't been touched since start, all chars only have 2 pose and expressions.
    The F***ing black screens in the story. Ohoh my favourite, I hate it so much. As I said, no animations to use, so let's make stupid black screens.
    You aren't the main character - Yep, that's right it's f***ink Paimon, like Mihoyo's hand forcing us to do things and lying about a bunch of things.
    Nothing after Adventure Rank 60 - Yep, you heard that right. You get, like 1-2k More for a whole daily rotation. Stupid.
    So yea that's pretty much it. The game has cool, and sexy characters, that's all. Scenery, Music and Characters. Voice overs are jaw dropping.
    So this game is basically for fa~ enjoying the scenery and just dork around, but that you can do in different games wich are only one-time pays or ACTUALLY FREE TO PLAY.
    Thanks for reading, and sorry for the rant. After that interview, I feel so bad spending on this game.

    Its one thing to focus on too much combat content, its another if dont plan on adding ANY new combat content.
    What is the point of getting C6 R5 if you cant even make good use of it?

    I need Endgame, because I don't see the point in getting new characters, if I'm only exploring and using therefore characters like Mona, Kazuha and Sayu. Why should I get Cyno if I can use Keqing, his playstyle is pretty mediocre. Most of the time in the over world you just can do half your rotation and everything is gone and no energy left. And as long as they make those events with trial events where you can play the most characters, there is no need to pull any character despite Kazuha and maybe Ayaka/Mona.

    If your characters are built and well invested and you still can't 36 star abyss, what else is it supposed to mean then? No, I'm serious, did you expect the game to go "wow! you're really good at the game" when you fall short?
    If you can't complete something a lot of players do with relative ease when you have the means to, what else can it mean other than you're bad? I don't see how this is an issue to begin with. I'm not going to boot up a competitive game, see someone who's playing like literal dogshit, and say "no he's really good and he's really enjoying the game."
    Like why is it so hard to admit you're bad and just move on, no one's out to hound you for not clearing something in a singleplayer focused game. If you really want the rewards, put the effort into learning the combat system and building your characters. And if someone's actually out to harrass you for not full clearing abyss then buddy they got bigger issues beyond this game.
    And if you took even an ounce of your time to actually understand how the combat system works you'd come to realize genshin isn't even that hard in the first place.

    Instead of adding floor 13 up to 15.
    Why not add co-op abyss special floors.
    I hate how this game has co-op capabilities, yet they rarely frkn use it. It's the most fun part of this game.

    I am a casual-simp player and honestly I don't really care for Spiral Abyss.
    They could have improved resin, that would increase your play time, but at the same time you will get bored of the game faster. They added resin last time because there's more Weekly Bosses. So maybe we'll get more resin if there are a lot more weekly bosses. Resin creates pacing.
    For endgame content, yes they could have made some harder content because currently you can brute force all of the current content with any character you want to use. This means you can play your waifu or husbando without feeling like you can't use them because they're "weak". Because you can brute force the content with your favourite characters.
    Oh and the biggest pull for new players isn't the combat, isn't the open world, but the hot characters. There are actually more simp players compared to casual and hardcore combined. Their decisions are actually made so simp players can continue to enjoy their simped characters. To hoyo, the biggest driving force for people to pull isn't meta, but Simpability. So yes, they wouldn't listen to hardcore players because simps pay them more.
    There are more simps who C6 R5 their character just for the sake of simping, than hardcore player pulling for meta. BECAUSE SIMPING is not locked behind just powerful characters. Heck I know a couple of people who C6 R5 Kokomi before Dendro just because they simp. Then C6 Candace and gave her R5 Staff of Scars because they simp Candace. Hardcore will only pull until the 'best constellation' and don't really care about C6 R5 if it's not worth it, or if there is a better option that's cheaper. Simps don't care about combat as much as hardcore players so they do not have any reservation blowing their money just to simp.
    The biggest anxiety is if they create content which cause simps to think that simping is not worthwhile. This will cause a massive decline. Back in the early days when Albedo or Kazuha simps were led to believe they're not actually that good, they couldn't beat all the game content with them because they're just bad, they LIKE the character, but because they're told that the game is about combat and they couldn't beat the game with the character they simp for, the sales flunk. Some of the Whale simps don't really care and still pull but again, sales aren't that good.
    Although they are revealed to be powerful, future banners actually have more simps choosing to get their favourite characters over meta characters because they realized you don't really need meta characters to clear Genshin Impact. You'll still see some banners flunking because they're not 'meta' but you won't see simps passing on a character they truly simp. And there are less reservation for whale simps to C6 their fav character just because.
    In the end, Mihoyo is a company, and to maintain Genshin in the scale that it currently is, they need a lot of money. Their decisions are led by profit in order to maintain and create more content for Genshin Impact. Since simps make them more money than hardcore players do, simps will be their main target audience. This is the biggest reason why I don't think they'd cater to hardcore players.

    Even casual can still 36 star abyss. The "casual" they mention probably some fucking normies never play any games before and only play this game because they like the Idea of being involve with the popular stuffs. See how many casual keep asking soul-like game to add easy mode and fromsoftware never budge ? They don't want to alienate the players that they attracted in. Let's say genshin consist of 99% of casual and only 1% hardcore that play for combat, who tf do you think paying for those C6 R5 to do cool combat ?

    I mean they can, but why? its because of statistics many people don't do abyss let alone finish it. so why waste million of dollars on a content that not making them money?. sure the whale will continue to spend money to showcase the additional floors. most people dont care on that, people who wanted end game content are the minority. what makes u think that mihoyo will cater to the minority?. this is the most common problem i see, minority have the platform to speak while millions of players of genshin dont care.

      why are you happy, if you are not interested, don't do it? The actual fomo you should get is from missing out on story beats from events as well as cool new weapons. If you dislike it don't tell mihoyo not to for those who do

    This game really needs something as a endgame content, because when you finish all the quests, you got nothing else to do.
    Although it's named as "endgame content", it's not calling the game the end. It's just something for players to spend time on.
    Although I can't say much about Resin, I wish for them to increase the rewards you get from bosses because, there's not that much difference in what you get between WR 6 and above.
