    I have Msi katana 17, brand new. And can't decide about the cooler, I do like the v10 because it's not so bulky. I do like to play on max settings for long hours, so cooling is important, I am sure u know Msi katanas grills, and what u think about v10, or I should go for v12, or even gt600

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  Месяц назад +3

      @L3MON_Haze Go for the V10 for best cooler for traveling (weighs less and easier to carry in a backpack, etc), get the V12 for the best cooling power period (cools the best out of all the coolers out there), or get the GT600 for best RGB (1 degree less of cooling power than the V12 but it has to be elevated with the stands to achieve this).
      It all depends on what you are looking for, decide what will work best for you, what you really want the most:
      V10 - easiest travel yet w great cooling power
      V12 - best cooling power
      GT600 - best RGB/ great cooling power but w the stands up
      Hope this helps 🙏👌👌

      @ionicone5 Yess it stores your last settings when you turn it off and back on. You'll just have to wait a bit for the rgb to start to the mode you previously had on, 2-3 seconds and it's automatic!! It's awesome

    Hi! Thks for the review! Do you know if there is a off switch to the RGB lighting? I get there's a ton of modes - but is there an off switch just for the lights? This looks like a real good pad and I'm seriously considering buying it - but I hate pads that just have the light on without being able to just turn it off without turning the pad off.

Curiously, is there any way you can turn off the RGB on the V12 model, or will you just have to opt for the V13? Only reason being, I'll be using this in the office setting. Again, great video ... @mykeviper I personally would go with the cooling power so the V12!! I like better performance.
      If you travel with your laptop a lot to do demanding processing work then choose the V10! Way better for travel. Or if you just want a more compact set-up (less bulky) at home then the V10 is the choice again.
      They both are really awesome.

    Got the v12 and v10 and for my msi gp66 the v12 is better. While the v10 fan itself would be more silent, it sounds like the blades of the fan aren't a perfect fit and at lower rpm it kinda sounds like the blades slightly hit something... For the v12 I've got two here and both have at low rpg a stupid "current noise".. I'm disappointed by both tbh. I want the cooler to run at low rpm and I dont mind the wind noise but the coil whine or whatever it is, is kinda annoying... The v10 sound is more annoying at low rpm. At higher rpm both noises may disappear, I don't know because the fan itself is louder. In general, for that price, I'm disappointed at both. And while it could be a bad one for the v10, it would be a huge coincidence for both of the v12 to have the same defect. The cooling is nice but for my laptop the v12 cools it overall better even at lower rpm. Not only the temps are lower but the case itself is colder with the v12.

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  Месяц назад

      I appreciate this comment, love the honesty about it. The biggest con of all of these coolers is the noise levels, every cooler with great performance unfortunately will make noise. The technology for muffling sound is just not there yet. Lowering the rpm does help a bit but it is not perfect. Maybe it's a quality control issue, if you just got it exchange it for another one and hopefully the noise will not be there.
      The noise either bothers people (those who are sound sensitive) or doesn't bother others (disappears in the background when working or gaming). For the most part, I don't even hear the fans, only when I'm doing math the fans bug the heck out of me lolol.
      It's just a matter of finding a cooler that can lower the temperatures but that you can tolerate the noise the most. I know it is not the best answer or solution.
      I wonder how well these coolers will improve in 5 years with the noise control and the cooling power.
      🙏🙏

      ahh i was stupid. i can see the noise of v12 @1400 is pretty much the same with v10 @3500 yet i guess the result with v12 is almost the same as if it was running @2800 right? (i saw it in your other videos.)

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  Месяц назад

      I did different videos since I know everyone wants to know certain details =). V10 vs V12, the V12 out performs by 2 degrees in cooling power but the V10 is slightly behind which is still very good for it's size!
      Noise levels the V10 at 3500 is going to be 4-5 dB less than the V12 at 2800.
      Both are great, just depends what you are looking for, more cooling power or less noise.

      My 16 inch laptop almost fit perfect, just 2% off but like I showed in the video you can cut off some of the foam sealer to make it work! 👌
      Even a 17 inch could work too, just depends where the underneath intake vents are located on your exact laptop model. But just like amirulizzat mentioned, the v10 would be ideal for a smaller laptop. - makes transportation easier.
