I recently bought a laptop that I wasn't aware that undervolting and overclocking is locked until I tried to. I think this might be a very good remedy to that. I'm definitely buying this. Thanks for the review, man. You just got a new sub here.
Yes, i got a black friday deal for $80 on the regular $108 and its totally a game changer.. Never before have i seen 30+ degree changes from a cooling pad, this one does it effortlessly and its adjustable so you can ramp it up during gaming and lower it back down when you are just browsing.. With that said, it uses about as much power as a regular household fridge so your energy bill will go up.
Thanks for the review. I purchased the Llano along with a new Dell recently. Safe to say, the cooler is a beast that does exactly what you say. Even when leaving the rig running all day for work and Grad school tasks (not gaming) and setting the cooler RPM to 800, the CPU keeps at about 43C and GPU in the mid-30s. When I game, I turn up the cooler to about 1400 rpm or so, and can still keep the temps in very good ranges for both components. So, to those wondering, spend the extra $$ and pick up this cooler. You will NOT regret it.
Same situation for me.. Its a game changer, you get to dictate how hot your laptop will be, the pad has the energy to do it, but yeah.. It does have the energy, it sucks up more electricity than my fridge does
should i buy this? my laptop is legion 5 pro gen 6. whenever i start a game fresh, the fps is great but within just 5 mins fps drops from something like 80 fps to 50 fps. Is it because of throttling due to high temps? Will this cooling pad help?
I recently got its RGB-less version, the V13 and boy does this thing really cool my laptop's GPU to less concerning levels, especially when I haven't turned on my room's A/C.
just got one, it works unbelievably well. only thing i dont like is the feel of all the plastic. for the price it really feels cheap. but again, it worls, and thats what matters
great review, man! i ordered this coler just yesterday. arriving tuesday. i already love it. one extra benefit-its design matches my alienware m18. and my m18 is CRAZILY hot. some dummy from intel decided to put a desktop cpu into a laptop, i get 80+celcius just..watching you tube at times. this baby here will help me quit using QUIET MODE and make the most of my rtx4080
with my MSi 2050 helps me run heavy games like Helldivers 2 very clean and smooth (low settings) BUT its still great! def a grab if you wanna protect your Laptop and help with the heat!
Simple answer : yes, it will drop 20-40 degrees in under a minute, and it will keep it cool no matter what you throw at it. For me on he Dell g16 max spec Under load: gpu: 40-50 degrees, Cpu: 60-70 degreea, While browsing: Gpu: 30-35 degrees, Cpu: 50-55 degrees, Without pad idle temps: Gpu: 60-80 Cpu: 70-90 Without pad while gaming : Gpu: 90-99 Cpu: 90-99
I bought both the the g600v2 and this one. The gt worked better for me. But even with a laptop that seems to have very tight airholes on the bottom. It makes 20c difference. I got one because like you, when playing my laptop would often reach 95c.
Does it have the option of having a complately static light? 'Cause I bought the IETS GT500 V2 and there's no static light option which I hate. Also, can you adjust the brightness of the light?
I bought it but after some hours of use it shutdown alone, the led light fall down, until it not shutdown entirely.. i should change it and request another one?
Wouldnt it be great if you could somehow connect this cooler with cpu - gpu temp and increase the rpms on llano automaticaly depending on those temps , just as the interior fans of the laptop do ??
I'm about to buy this one and have a question, Does it works with workstation notebook? that has high-end cpu gpu but based on workstation like asus vivobook. It has a little of built-in cooling system. I'm not really sure it will work as much as gaming laptop does.
It should work with any laptop/notebook that has the fans on the bottom. If you look on the bottom you should see the vents for the fans and if so, then it should work quite well.
Can someone help me? I'm staying in a dorm and I want to use a laptop while people are sleeping. Do 300-500 rpm sounds make a lot of noise? I don't want to disturb sleeping people
300-500 is fine, would sound like a desk fan at low speed. I find you can go up to 1000 and it is ok and cools pretty good - like white noise. Go all the way up to 2800 and it is obnoxious
@@techfulgoodies Thank you very much for your reply. As you say, 300-500 rpm seems ideal for people to sleep without disturbing them. It's really frustrating most of the time to stay in a forced space with different people and pay attention. thank you for your effort 🙏
Hi there. Sorry im still confused. Alienware m18 pulls in air from bottom and vents out back like most laptops. Why again wouldnt this work? Thought most laptops pull from bottom and bent out back or side
i cannot agree with this testing. cpu + gpu need to be tempered at the same time cuz in cases like mine the gppu limit 10 watts down when both gpu+cpu work at full loads for gaming. this result for either GPU or CPU should not be done. greetings a laptop heatpipe modder =)
I got one, it’s absolutely trash, above 600 rpm makes so much noise that is unusable, in best case reduce the temp by 5 degrees at max speed, cooling foam pad flys around when high rpm, on many laptops with back exit won’t even cool down, don’t listen to this videos, no cooling exist for any laptop.
5 degress max speed? I got reduced around 8 - 14 degress on my Helios Neo 16. Test it again with room temp or direct AC to it. Try it again before sayin some random missinfo
Please, 700 RPM isn't even loud, let alone 600. I also get a cooling difference of more than 10°C when I max it out, without A/C. The foam liner doesn't go anywhere when it's in use. If your exhaust vents are under the laptop, of course it won't work as well, if at all. You're making a fool out of yourself here.

Did it help?
What i did for my acer predator is undervolt and use thermal pads. It worked like a charm.
FINALLY, someone shows the hub! My concern was having the USB-C out of use for my mic. I will be buying this! Thank You!

Great review, probably the best laptop fan i have seen.
It is pricey but it does work well. Also - super loud at high fan speeds but I guess that is the trade off.

The foam traps air from escaping around the sides.

Does anyone know what is the max voltage it supports?
I have an msi sword 15 and under 80% load it gets in the 90s Celsius with the iets gt500. Is the llano cooler a big step up from the iets gt500?

I invented that pad you want last year ;)

Does anyone know if this works with a alienware M18 R1? Any downsides cuz i think alienware pulls in air from top and bottom?
I checked out a pic of your laptop and it seems like it all vents out the back. In that case, this wouldn't work. Only works with fans on the bottom
Oh wow. Alienware m18 does have suction fans on the bottom tho? It does vent out the back and sides.
Appreciate you looking tho.
Hi there. Sorry im still confused. Alienware m18 pulls in air from bottom and vents out back like most laptops. Why again wouldnt this work? Thought most laptops pull from bottom and bent out back or side
@@tmdgm2436 Oh, then it think it would work. My dell pulls in from the bottom and exhausts out the side.
Wouldn’t suck the hot air from the back of your laptop? Because your laptop and mine blows the hot air from the back
It sucks air from the bottom and the foam around the edges helps to stop air from coming in
