I assist a friend who desired to install an EDC Delete kit after lowering a BMW 235i. Engine is an N55, all for wheels we’re done. This is a tutorial of how to get it in.
The kit plugs into the vehicle side of connectors, the part that you throw away goes to an electric strut The new connector replaced red l factory connector behind wheel well
My mf looks different.. Car was built 2011. One of the very first F30s. Do you know anything about that? I cannot install the delete kit cause I cannot „unplug“ the wires from the current original 2011 Adapter Head..
I’m unsure, as I’ve not touched many f30 cars. I met a guy at a local cars and coffee who wanted to get this done. He had never heard of changing harness adapters. So I taught him. On your car, there may be differences, but I’m not able to see what you see. Can you post a video and drop me a link?
@@toolwithintention hey man, did not expect you to answer. I asked because nothing worked out and I got frustrated.. 😂. I was just too dumb and looked at the wrong side of the wires.. anyway big thanks for the answer and great diy video!
i put in the same exact kit on my 335i (could be different from the 2 series). it gave me more new codes. about abs, and airbag but drives fine. still can’t do sport mode. is this a time thing or did i possibly plug it the wrong harness?? pls and thank you for the help.
@@toolwithintention 2015 f30. everything plugged in like it should. just not sure if it was the right one. is clearing the codes after the edc kit what’s necessary? if not i haven’t cleared it
@@dav3746 once we installed them, making sure that each wire was on the right location in the new plug; we had no codes and no lights and immediately the sport mode worked again
About rear it different plugs. Don't match because have three wires
Not sure what car you have or what country, but USA models have just two wires
The plug where you take the wires out is that the plug that goes straight into the oem shock or is this plug located behind the fender liner?

Did you get the wiring in the right holes?
Have you cleared the codes and see if they pop up again?
What 335 do you have?
