Appreciated your detailings and really enjoying using one UI. Where as game concerns I believe there is always shortcomings in other softwares too and believe it can be managed soon and handled well.
One UI does have some features that stock Android doesn't have. One negative is that Samsung likes to create its own apps, so you have both the Samsung and Google app installed on your phone. We don't need a Samsung version for every Google app
@@davinp I love using Bixby routines though, I prefer Bixby over google assistant. I don't use assistants much but for the routine work I do, I have setup Bixby routines and I can change a lot of things in my phone just by saying a word. Good lock module enhances Bixby utility further with much more customizations
There are still too many Samsung haters refused to acknowledge that Samsung is good. They think all the features introduced by Samsung is bloatware until Google release the same features in Stock Android.
Glad that you mention the notification problem that almost every other Android skin has. That's always something I have to remind people when I recommend them phones from xiaomi, Realme etc. I don't really know why that always happens with Chinese phones.
@@prashantgupta9288 many phones don't allow messaging apps to run in the background in order to save battery. As a result you miss notifications. I notice this problem with MIUI, Realme UI, COLOR OS etc. I mention that, because ONE UI doesn't have this problem.
You don't even have to long tap the app icon to bring up the pop up view and split screen options in the task switcher, a single tap would get the job done.

I would say too that OneUI is one of the best aspects of a Samsung phone, though every interface available offers enough features for most users and in the end of the day, Android phone is an Android phone - they are all very similar. On the other hand, the Chinese brands Xiaomi and Huawei have started to imitate iOS more and more, which in fact is not a bad thing to me. Which is the best interface though? I'd say it's either OxygenOS from OnePlus or OneUI, but I don't think OneUI has necessarily taken only positive steps forward, since I liked it the best when it had text labels over everything, telling you what every icon does. If it's still mostly this way then pardon me, but I just remember that the interface was very easy to navigate when I had a Galaxy S6. The only rather nasty thing is the lag of the UI - I simply cannot trust them before they prove to not release any updates that slow down the phone, let alone keep the release version lag free. I likely will not buy Samsung phones before they really start to convince people that quality of their software and updates is their main priority over everything else, but all this said, their UI is designed great. To conclude, I pretty much like every UI out there, they are all pretty great, although I don't know very well the Chinese brands that are only popular in China, so I cannot say much about them. From the top of my head, I would rank the UIs as follows: 1. OnePlus (features, customization, animations, fluidness, all great) 2. Samsung (so much stuff and mostly user friendly) 3. Motorola (clean and useful Moto features) 4. Sony (clean and only useful added features) 5. Huawei (a robust package) 6. Xiaomi (a little bloated, but the recent optimizations are great) 7. Google Pixel (seems pretty basic to me, but nothing wrong otherwise, certainly a favourite of many)

It's certainly good to keep in mind before purchasing a Xiaomi device that some tweaking of settings for some apps might be required for all to work properly. I had a good time with Mi 9T before it soon went to my father since he needed a new phone.

One UI really need to revamp their app icons. Google icons: Circle. Apple icons: rounded rectangle. Samsung: not circle, nor square , it Just not so good for my taste. They should bring back rectangle app icon. And hide notch option, with proper rounded corners so the screen will look symmetrical.

Link to Windows is handy when you're screenshot or snipping image, it can copy to the clipboard and able to paste through connected phone. Very Apple like experience.

I still have OneUI 4.0 on my phone even though I received 4.1 update long back. Going by the reviews on internet by Samsung users, I refrained from updating it to 4.1. 4.0 is more than enough for me
All is good except that under Internal storage, the 3 dots to the top right is gone after I upgraded it on my handphone! That feature called "Advanced" is excellent for me to clear my app cache under one screen! Why remove it? Please put it back!

this is why i cannot choose other than samsung device, i needed all the features, bixby routine helps me to makes the phone silent at certain time and edge panel make it so easy to swap between app without going back to homescreen. Goodlock is so great, with Wonderland module i can use video as a wallpaper. Smart widget is good, now i don't need many pages to put all my widgets. Object eraser helps a lot for my photo situation. I love One Ui.
I was so disappointed with this One UI 4.1. A lot of the features got cut out of the A series version. I have a Galaxy A72 and I definitely miss out on a lot of things. At least I managed to get the apks for the object eraser and smart widgets.
Ehhh...it has some seriously sick features, but ever since the initial Android 12+One UI 4, there are certain apps that don't quite play nice when going into Recent Apps (aka the app switcher). Facebook & Timbloader both like to duplicate their windows, and can do so A LOT if you're not paying attention. It's been a thing since my Galaxy S10+ got One UI 4 and later 4.1, and now my Galaxy A32 5G - which went from Android 11+One UI 3.1 straight to Android 12+One UI 4.1 - also does this when it didn't happen before...so apparently, either Samsung wasn't aware of it, or Samsung didn't care about it (seeing as going to One UI 4.1 from One UI 4 completely ignores the issue).
Duplicate windows if Facebook's fault. They fake some activities since the first version of their app, for no reason. The app is always falling apart, and is prone to crash, even on iOS.

After this update, the main camera of my S10+ became whitish and it remains like that until today, 30th Oct. How Samsung hasn't fixed that yet??? It's unbelievable!!!
Despite everything said and seen, the battery drain makes me think the upgrade is not worth it. Not more than a month ago on Android 11 and One UI 3.1 my phone's used to last a couple of days between full charge, now it hardly lasts a full day, it's showing low battery by around 6 in the evening
I've also updated and regret doing so. One ui 4 is less polished and drains battery, laggy and overheats. My camera app auto Brightness doesn't work anymore. Hate it!
Hi. So after checking out some stuff, I actually managed to downgrade back to one UI 3 via Odin and a step by step you tube tutorial and the phone is running great again! I'd only advise if you are quite confident about it it, but I had just enough of one UI 4.

There is a bug in the One UI 4.1 version. When u delete one notification the entire notification bar disappears and to delete any notification again you have to again drag it down. Very irritating..😤

I like the part where he said they preferred the Samsung apps to their Google counterparts. Same story for me. Everytime people say Samsung preinstalled apps are bloatware, I laugh. That's because in my personal experience, the Samsung apps are the ones I'm using while the Google apps are my blaotware. The only Google apps I'm using are the Maps and the Search. For everything else, the Samsung one is better. I find the Samsung browser better than Chrome, Email better than Gmail (I even delete it once I get a new phone), Samsung game 🎮 app is better than Google's, etc etc.
Don't update to one ui 4.0/4.1. The software is very glitchy, some features do not work and battery drains alot with the phone overheating. The ui is also just different, not necessarily better - I think it looks less polished than one ui 3.

I use Nova. It has so many adjustments. The size of icons, vertical or horizontal. Don't understand why Samsung does not include any of these adjustments. It's like they want you to use other launchers
I would never teade the app drawer for a non one like Chinsee UIs. It's too cringy that all apps slapped on screen and you just go left or right. And no iPhone is a different story/OS. Glad Samsung still have it and without limitation like just a white/black background with casual scroll. Shame on Sony for abandoning their lovely Xperia home and never updating it

Wth happened to adding an app to the folder using the plus icon? I can no longer add apps to my screen folders by pressing the + icon. It allows me to choose an app and then there's no done button so it can be added to the folder. I don't like that at all. I've been dragging to the home screen and then dragging into the folder.
The most valuable option of OneUI 4 and 4.1 is the ability to limit the battery charge to 85% to increase the lifespan of the battery.

I don't think you can have the Google feed on the left unless your phone shipped with OneUI 4.1. My Note 20 only allows Samsung Free.
my s20+ doesn't have it as well. but my a52s has the google discover feed out of the box (One UI 3.1)

It allows me to choose an app and then there's no done button so it can be added to the folder. I don't like that at all. I've been dragging to the home screen and then dragging into the folder.
