I like everything, except for the seperation of the quick panel and the notification. They already look so nice rn, with one ui 6, why are they changing them?
I think they'll give you the option to have it in one or separate. Looks cleaner having it split, but I am so accustomed to the old one where I have easy reach of the brightness slider and necessary toggles, also my music player and see my primary notifications.
I reckon they will still keep the swipe down to bring the panel down option, depending on what area you swipe. Maybe on the left to bring the notifications down and right to bring the quick panels. @@MrKrabsMeatyClaw
Why is everyone copying Apple with separating notification panel and quick settings? It's very uncomfortable. OneUI started with UI accessibility for large screens in mind. And this is the opposite. I hope they'll make it optional...
@@kwazie_harry It's not the same. In One UI 6 you just have an option to reserve the top-right-corner down swipe for expanded quick settings panel. Swiping down from anywhere else still has the quick settings panel above the notifications.
What I would like to see is less pre-installed bloatware, fewer duplicate apps with the same functions. No offering dangerous services like the crap from McAffee. As a huge fan of OneUI, I find that OneUI 7 isn't particularly impressive based on the small details revealed so far. I really dislike the separation of the notification panel and quick settings panel. I hope they’ll add an option to keep them as they are in OneUI 6.1.
@JudahRichardson1 I'm not sure if you were using an iPhone or some Chinese Android phones before. Android has always had a 2-stage quick settings panel for years. The first layer consists of a few quick settings and the notification panel. The second layer is the full quick settings panel.

That left pull down for notifications came straight from IOS. So basically, (and literally) if you buy an S25 (or upgrade to OneUI 7) or buy Any IPhone... The navigation is exactly the same on both systems. Been saying it for years... Samsung is literally using IOS/iPhone as a blue print for everything they do nowadays. Absolutely no originality. And... don't get me wrong... I am a Samsung fan, but the truth is the truth. Iphone switched to Titanium... Samsung follows... Apple Watch Ultra, then Galaxy Watch Ultra.., AirPods Pro Design... of course, Galaxy Buds Pro 3 with same exact design, lol. All that has been ruined on one ui 6
Now on one ui 7 they ruined it more by spliting it to two panels I hate this so much that it makes me hate the hole one ui 7 for just that change
They better but an option to go back to the one ui 6 panel or better one ui 5 panel by goodlock this will be great❤
That left pull down for notifications came straight from IOS. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the S25 Ultra comes with a camera control button, lol.
>came from iOS
the Paranoid Android custom rom, back on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, (among many others) already had the option to set the right (or left) side of the notification shade pulldown gesture to go straight to quick settings, while the other side brought you to the regular notification shade. If anything, Apple copied the feature from Android.
@barrupa in addition, you'll have the option to change it or not. Idk y ppl are complaining. I like the new style, plus I use the edge gestures to access the quick panel and notifications, way easier than swiping from the top of the screen.
3:14 doesn't it already have the blur effect?
Old red camera icon was good.
Camera icon looks like Apple
Samsung if i wanted an iPhone , I would buy one
Steve Jobs Lite version
If you're in a market where Good Lock is supported, anything you don't like is meaningless as you can tweak the UI back to the way you want it anyway. Also bear in mind Samsung has a LOT of telemetry data on how their users use their phones as opposed to what a relative few internet commenters think.
Samsung should listen to feedback and stop this whole notification separation shenanigans...
I want the option to turn back on the dual-line app/folder names. "Simplified" labels was an utterly stupid and worthless idea to force on us with One UI 6.
The icons look as if samsung has gone back 10 years and brought designs from there
oh I see you miss Taylor hiding in the background
