I understand the lure for frequent upgrades. Because the device gets slow after a year of use.
iPhones are built for long ownership, like a Toyota/Lexus vehicle. Every iPhone I owned, I have held for 4-5 years. The software upgrades keep it smooth like new.

@@danielvargo4498 That is history. Apple learnt its lesson, that you can't force people to upgrade. My iPhone 13 pro max is as fast as new.
@@danielvargo4498 i have a s22u and yes it is laggy, opening/closing camera app lags, when i open task changer/app switcher it lags, some apps like reddit has been laggy forever, it reloads app that are not in deep sleep, and battery is crap from day one now it is intolerable , i have the phone since launch....oh yes and it overheats like crazy
The samsung s24 ultra is now a lot cheaper and gives much better deals with freebies like with samsung watch or earbuds depending where you buy it.
You know very well that people who choose iphone don't look for the things you just covered

I have the s24 ultra and people need to stop talking about which one is brighter. You dont need a 2600 nits screen. Companies use it as a selling point and people act like its worth paying for it. In 5 years youll have a 5000nits display that you wont be able to look at cuz its too bright.
it's certainly necessary and a nice to have for some people. my line of work requires outdoor photograph session, out in the sun and brightness is crucial. it is also necessary for motorcycle riders and drivers to use gps. brightness also determines the lowest level of it so it means less painful screen time in the dark at the lowest brightness.
Well said, I work in Saudi and even in the June sunshine, (49+c) I donth ave brightness at full, I suspect if I did the phone would soon shut down due to the heat.
Its like 100Megapixel cameras in a world of 4K (8 Megapixel) TVs. Even a 5k Is only 14 Megapixels.
Its all just marketing to sell phones
@@akmalrusydi2730there are phones way brighter then the s24u if thats what people want. The differense in daylight between the samsung and iphone is not noticeable. And iphone has been messured at 2500 eith a nitsmeter.

Using iPhone mainly for
1. Apple Watch
2. Camera
3. Music listening
Samsung has Spotify and Google has RUclips music which allows you to listen to anything pretty much even if it's a video or older songs that apple music just don't have. We have the best of both platforms and we can get apple music on Samsung

agree I turned in my Fold 5 because the Apple watch watch pulled me back into the Apple ecosystem. even when using the Fold 5, i was still using Apple music on android. but I love and miss DEX
my issues with Samsung phones, way too much customization, Google’s Gemini AI is racist, Google OS not as secure/ private as Apple, Apple ecosystem is better
Sadly one area where the iphone wins over the galaxy is it's lidar sensor for 3d scanning. I wish the s25 will have something similar

I guess at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. Both are excellent top of the line phones. As for AI, well it’s not really important to me. I don’t like the square corners on the 24 Ultra.

I've used samsung for like 10 years so I'm probably gonna switch to the 16 pro and buy a s20 something ultra in the future.
Better not try something that is clearly a downgrade and you are not used to.

@@cloudyyau6026ipho e has better performance battery gaming camera, not a downgrade at all. Its nice too try different phones. I use both samsung and iphone.
You forgot to say about the display that the s24 ultra has a higher resolution display too. I switched from 15 pro max to the s24 ultra, changed the resolution to QHD+ and I immediately noticed the difference especially in text. It's much more sharper. Also you can adjust the display to your liking with options to change the colors and it has more eye comfort options compared to the iphone too.

I've had my S24 Ultra for a month. I love it! I switched from iphone 15 pro max and the display alone is light years ahead of my iphone.
Its really not, they are almost the same. Both are samsung displays. Human eye cant see the differense.. you probably like the colors samsung use, they oversaturate their displays, some like the popping colors some dont
I just went to BestBuy to compare. At max brightness I see no difference in color and contrast. Samsung's max brightness seems slightly higher, which is not useful unless you are outside in bright sunlight. Also Samsung has noticeably less glare, which is a huge plus in bright sunlight. Those are the only 2 noticeable differences between the displays. Lightyears? I doubt. Apple can literally order the same display panel from Samsung and that would narrow the gap any time Apple chooses. Apple has obviously made some engineering choices with a focus on display durability and color accuracy.
Then try transferring your photos and videos from a Samsung phone to a photos app of your choice on your Windows laptop or desktop, then make a slideshow.
See how long it takes.
Then do same on iPhone and transfer photos and videos to Apple Mac laptop or desktop.
Compare experience!

Hardware and Software in harmony ... yeaah you are right ... but you have to buy all those products with the same brand, namely Apple, which is known to be expensive... You can do the same thing with the Samsung ecosystem too... but of course Android belongs to Google so it can be better tolerated by Windows.

Really what you are showing is all fluff and nothing concrete. I had the s24u and basically it's another mobile phone that is nothing amazing like the s23u ans the s22u nothing special just like apple...new phone with a new chip and an extra button. Operating system is preference and that's all.

I tested both the 16 pro max and s24 ultra at the store today and I still think the s24 ultra is way more fun to use like my s23 ultra. The s pen w gestures and sound effects , multi tasking, open operating system, way better display lightyears ahead corning glass no reflections, good lock, emulation at a higher level w no limitations, Samsung TV ecosystem etc . I'll wait for the s25 ultra and fold 6 special edition or fold 7 . I left Apple years ago and androids like my red magic 9 make me much happier. Even the honor magic v2 Porsche edition and v3 and Vivo x100 ultra impress me more w Huawei triple foldable
AI wallpapers have the worst quality. Tried them on my S24 ultra and they look blurry and low quality, that's definitely not an advantage

Hey, so I'm here in the US, and my S24 Ultra doesn't seem to have this feature where I can convert a photo into a sketch. It can only do the opposite, turning a sketch into an image. When I saw him do it in the video, I was like, "Whoa, how'd he do that?" Is this something I need to unlock, or is it just not available in the US yet?

S23ultra and s24 ultra have blue it sky blue but only available from samsung there exclusive colors not from any carrier I have it looks amazing

It's not a that big of a difference if we are talking about quality of videos and photos, other than that, give it a 7 days and you will see how much better s24 ultra actually is

don't forget about the corners of the screen I feel that not cutting off the corners makes the display better for media aswell. I dont know why you have your edge panel indicator so huge and so visible, for me that looks bad on the screen (its like having a side notch), I just keep mine invisible and inline with my power or volume buttons so I know where it is
I hope Samsung adds a Camera Shutter button soon, I miss it from my Sony from from about 15 years ago

I own a iPhone 15 pro max and have had iPhones most of the time. But, at this point, I get more and more frustrated with Apple and its restrictions. Even with IOS 18, they half assed the ability to customize the software. And then I would like to buy music from Bandcamp. But guess what? I have to buy it off the internet even with the downloaded app. And then the EU had to force Apple to usb c on their iPhones. I am completely lost to why people are such huge fans of iPhones.

I see my Note 10 + is still working as S24 ultra, such a shame to close the best selling model to make it S series and people to show the Note S pen on Galaxy S series, still got the huge battery coming from the back of my Note, what a bad quality Samsung can make and then Samsung offered for the phone £180 after 1 and half years...
Have the Note 10plus but will be upgrading to the S24 Ultra soon because of better specs better camera and 7 android updates. Fed up being stuck on Android 12. Time to upgrade

if u use a screen protector, that negates the benefits of the samsungs anti reflective screen properties.... needs a mention....

Sorry but all top end phones are a waste of money..i have an A52 and 24 ultra...and in general use ,,no difference at all and who cares if the display is brighter lol or the camera takes a photo of your ass whilst staring in the mirror, WASTE of money, you dont need it. You didn't mention the s24 over heats and dims the screen so you cant see it

Bro forgot that Samsungs Face ID has no security at all , iPhone demolishes Samsung in heavy task , lphone has smaller battery and lasts 2hours longer (Aron rigged it) , even lphone 14\15 pros have better cpu and gpu then 24ultra, 10times better animations and lphone does not go up to 50 degrees Celsius when gaming. I think u are the only person who uses the spen 😅
The deep sleep notification on the S24 ultra is just putting apps that haven't been used for a while into deep sleep.
It has nothing to do with the entire phone being in any power saving mode.
Essentially android Doze, which is baked into all android phones.
