    Hello friends and thank you all for watching!
    A minor change. I erroneously state that Android Compute Core was updated in Android 12. It was launched in Android 12 for the first time, but it was updated in a later beta. I got myself mixed up and read it wrong. That's my bad.
    It is also true that I shot a good percentage of this on the final beta in advance. There was no discernible difference between the final beta and the real deal (the update was literally only 3.5MB in size). I promise you I would've reshot anything that looked different in the final version before uploading the video. I know most probably won't care (or notice lol), but I believe in transparency here.
    For the Easter egg, if you set the clock to 12 o'clock exactly, it transitions to another, more decorative screen. Forgot about that. My bad!
    Finally, I know the media switcher was in Android 11. It looks and acts slightly different now. It's a video about an entire OS, sometimes I miss a thing. Also my bad!
    Otherwise, let me know any additional feedback in the comments! Thank you!
    -Joe Hindy

Any chance of the OS getting an update that allows me to get rid of the date on the home screen, change the clock on the lock screen, and get rid of the opaque background on the clock widget? After completing the new OS installation & re-booting the device...
    Something WEIRD was going on with the Lock-Down Screen. When I unlocked the device, I still could not get past a Drop-down Reminder/Notification Panel whereby it obstructed access to the Home Screen, the Main Apps List, the Settings, etc.

      @Abstractism Google is a terrible company when it comes to stability. They keep neither features nor UI consistent between updates. For both android and their apps. It's annoying.

    • @truegamer_007
      @truegamer_007 2 года назад

      @Abstractism I think the real reasons are less conspitorial than you're suggesting. Whenever there's a new person in a leadership position, the first thing they do is differentiate themselves from their predecessor. That's the reason we see software and UI that's constantly changing. It wasn't so bad before when each piece of software and OS only got few years of update (if even that) and then a new version was released.
      The agenda of individuals trying to add more achievements to their resume is the reason we're in this mess. It's doesn't play well with the idea of software as a service with perpetual updates, versus being a product that only got minimal changes and tried to stay consistent to the original idea. I guarantee you that the people behind material design introduced in Lollipop no longer work at Google anymore. And their successors want something to call their own. Hence, this massive change.

    Anyone having issues with Gmail notifications on their Google Pixel 6 when idle?
    I do not get notifications in real time and almost always it is until I open and unlock the phone that notifications come in all at once. I have turned off every adaptive network and battery optimization technology, but nothing seems to help.
    As a reference, notifications on my iPhone 12 are instant for the same Gmail accounts.

    • @CliveThorpe
      @CliveThorpe 2 года назад

      Hi, Roger, I have had this issue with Gmail on my Pixel 4a, and the adaptive battery optimizations do not seem to actually have an impact, what you want to do is head over to the Gmail app and make sure you have notifications turned on, then work your way to other settings that need to be checked and enabled-
      First, head to Gmail app, then settings, from there select your account, then scroll down to "Notifications", ensure that "All", is the option selected, next move to "Inbox notifications", and make sure that "Sync messages" is set to "All".
      Now, you want to move back n head to the next option "Manage Labels", from here just select the type of inbox you wish to make sure syncs, and select the "All" option.
      Return from that screen and head down further to the "Data Usage", section from here please hit the "Sync Gmail" button and make sure you enable it, next you can pick the number of days of emails you wanna sync, otherwise leave it as is, 30 days is the default.
      Hope these steps help you out, as this is a really annoying issue, and it even plagues day one Pixel phones, being set up outta the box. Cheers and Good luck !

    I love feature of Android 12 GO is permission control, you can disable it in a particular app. Though im not sure if this is 100% working if the app is running.
    "unremovable battery" is just like "buy a new phone" even if you take good care of youre phone & the battery is just the problem. Good for people who can afford to change their phone yearly.
    For Heavy gamer on mobile, using youre phone while charging will shorten the life span of your battery. I think its still better if you have extra battery with portable/external charger.
    This is my only opinion, i dont hate anyone.
