I found you lovely ladies when I knit the Turtle Dove over the holidays. I loved the pattern so much that I did some research and found your podcast. You are so engaging and I am having fun catching up on all of the podcasts to date. I have just started the Stoneham Poncho and I literally can't put it down. I love knitting this and I LOVE Scout! I can't wait to start the scarf. Thank you so much for sharing your sense of style with the rest of us. You are both fabulous. I will need to plan a road trip to Montreal to visit your beautiful store.
Thank you for your pattern collection. They are lovely. I will start on something from the collection right after the holidays. I am glad to purchase these. Such a great value. Everything does not have to be free. This is really a great value. Thank you.
Congrats on episode 25 - it's your Silver Anniversary!!! Love the new designs, especially the bulky cowl and the 2 color cowl/poncho. So beautiful. I have the wool dryer balls that I can not live without. I put a couple drops of my lavender essential oil on each one. This does not come off on the clothes and makes them smell glorious.
It's so good to see you again and all of your projects and patterns. Not to mention, all of the wonderful gifty, knitty things. I hope that you and your families, and all of your staff and their families have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks you so much for all of the inspiration you provide. Wishes from Washington State, Patty.
Thanks so much Patty for taking the time to write such a lovely message! Best wishes to you and your family as well, and we wish you lots of fun knitting in the new year 😊
Melissa & Lisa - the collection is fabulous and the color selections perfect. I am currently enjoying knitting the Turtle Dove to be gifted. Wishing Happy and Healthy Holidays.
The knitting calls to me. I put it down and turn off the light. Then I lay there, face up trying to talk myself out of turning the light back on. It's ridiculous! 😂😂
I love love love your energy ladies! It's easy to get excited right along with you and not feel overwhelmed. Congratulations on another beautifully executed collaboration. Assuming you used the same skeins of yarn for each time you had to rip back and re-knit, that speaks very highly for the integrity of the yarns you used!
You are absolutely correct in your view on quality yarn for beginners. It’s the same in art too. You should always go for the best you can afford in both oils and watercolours and papers or canvases as they do not only produce a better finished result but the whole experience is better. As a learner, there can be nothing more daunting than failure. I love your latest designs but the stunning yarns in your store are also so beautiful 😍
oh my goodness I was 5 when I started on one of those when I went to the yarn store with my grandmother been knitting 50 years now and they were made out of wood then from one of the clients husbands amazing to see this again love your pod-cast I,m in Atlantic City NJ no knit shops so I order everything on line Went to FIT in NY design college love your designs will buy chalet ones
As of 12:00 EST, I am officially registered for the Knit for Fun Retreat!!! I am so excited. When I first heard you talk about it on the River City podcast, I knew I had to go. I texted Cindy and said "I 'm in"! You are one of the first podcasts that I started watching and I am so excited about meeting you. The extended stay sounds wonderful. Congratulations on episode 25 and Joyeux Noel.
Congrats on securing your spot Ellen, those retreats fill-up fast 😁 Looking froward to meeting you as well and thanks so much for sticking with us since the beginning!! Happy Holidays to you 😊
The first knitting project I ever made was a pair of slippers, 26 years ago. They weren’t perfect, but I could wear them and it was so satisfying to make something out of yarn. It is a great first project for kids or adults. The love the Chalet collection and the must knit Belle Fille hat.
I'm new to your podcast, but what timing! I fell in love with the Madtosh glittery yarn and went to your online store and bought the two remaining Beta Crucis!!! I'm going to knit Joji's Bark Lines with it. Yes, every once in awhile, we need a bit of glitter! Thank you :D
Thank you for another fantastic podcast, and great start to the wintry (strong winds and rain) weekend. I'm loving the Chalet collection and particularly the poncho, though the colourwork scares me. The retreat looks awesome, but too far from Jersey, Channel Islands. Lovely to see you both before Christmas, with more inspiration and things to add to my wishlist. Have a fabulous festive season.
Totally loved the episode Melissa and Lisa!! Beautiful collection!!!! I really need a Gleener!!! (Darned Canada Post is being annoying) Gorgeous projects ladies!!! Omg that Retreat sounds amazing, but it’s not at a time where I have any time off. (I work on a produce farm) I would love to visit Quebec again, I used to go to Sherbrooke, Quebec for Christmas when I was a child, my stepmother’s family lived there, it was so beautiful and peaceful. (I live in Ontario) I remember the super long car ride, and sitting in the back seat with my baby brother and my sister. I couldn’t wait to see Grandmere & Grandpere Keeble and their German Shepherd, Sasha. Mom would knit and Grandmere and us kids would bake cookies and cakes for Christmas Day!! (I miss doing that, my stepmom and Grandmere and Grandpere have passed away.) I am 42yrs old, and still miss the Christmas tradition of that long car ride to Sherbrooke, Quebec for Christmas. I hope you both have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 Happy Knitting!! ❤️Marie
Thanks Marie for sharing those beautiful memories with us 😊 They still seem vivid and hopefully they will be with you throughout the holiday season! Happy holidays to you and thanks for your great support!
Espace Tricot The memories are always there, especially through the holidays! I mean... I love my birth mother like crazy, but nobody cooks like French people! (My stepmom and Grandmere were amazing cooks! Darn, now I really want mom’s homemade Shepherd’s Pie!! 😢) Happy Holidays Ladies!!!! ❤️🇨🇦
Finull from Rauma is great for felting. If you hold two strands together, knit BIG mittend and then felt them in the washer, it makes wonderful mittens! There are patterns for this, but I am not sure if they are in English.
I have a knit related question. When one knits moss stitch. How would one pick up stitches on the edge to knit a flat border, also in moss? I measured that 141 stitches and 168 rows knitted a square
P.S. you should take a few minutes to watch one of the "Diane from Denmark" podcasts to learn how to pronounce hygge. She always ends with "may the Danish hygge be with you". I always really enjoy your podcasts...always inspiring! Thanks. Patty
Merci beaucoup
Beautiful, work and Lovely Ladies! So happy to have more new poscast's and all the much appreciated the Inspirations!
Your Chalet Collection is beautiful! Traditional colorwork made modern...love the projects.

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who stays up until 3 AM knitting!
The knitting calls to me. I put it down and turn off the light. Then I lay there, face up trying to talk myself out of turning the light back on. It's ridiculous! 😂😂
Congratulations! Your collection is beautiful...I think the poncho is my fave! Gorgeous colorwork and I’m loving it in the black, white and pink!

Thanks for your support! As a very beginner artist, indeed I apply the same principle to my art supplies as well 😊

You can get a heater free standing. Also a fireplace. I bought one. I love it.
“Running out to the depanneur”....”looking like the bonhomie”. You guys always make me miss my hometown of MTL! ❤️
It takes a real Montrealer to appreciate those comments!! 😊

Love your Chalet Collection. One day I will try color work.
Starting with a hat Joanne might just get you addicted;-)
Another great podcast ! I love Your chalet collection ❤️
Thanks Diane 😊
Merry Christmas Ladies!
Beautiful collection!
I'm not a poncho person but I soooo wanna knit this one. It's beautiful!
I want to buy extra yarn and turn it into a sweater!
You can wear it as a very drapey cowl 😉
Happy holidays!
Simply Beautiful! As always.....
it is so much work. i have a friend who married a doctor of a certain ethnicity, she says she doesn't miss it at all
P.S. you should take a few minutes to watch one of the "Diane from Denmark" podcasts to learn how to pronounce hygge. She always ends with "may the Danish hygge be with you". I always really enjoy your podcasts...always inspiring! Thanks. Patty
Thanks for the tip Patty 😊
may i ask what is the difference between a stitch marker and a progress keeper? thx
Stitch markers slide along the needles as you go. A progress keeper opens and closes, and stays on the row where you left it last. :)
BEAUTIFUL!!

Love those wooden stitch markers ... where can i get those? Thanks! 😊
Hi Maria - they're available in our webstore :-) www.espacetricot.com/selbu-stitch-marker-set/dp/22522
Nighshades reminds me of Flywheel
You should knit a Red cable knit turtleneck sweater
Thank would be beautiful but I would never wear it😂
Gleaner? Is this an app?
It's a tool people use to de-fuzz and de-pill their knits.
wow!
Beautiful collection!
