    If working two tails you could weave one color over one stitch and then next color over the next stitch. So each end would be woven every other stitch.

    I tried the double Weavin' Stephen today on a garter stitch project knit in fingering-weight yarn. It felt a bit fiddly at first, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. It's practically invisible and feels very secure. So glad to have learned about this technique. Thank you, Stephen.

    Should have read the comments. Used the technique with one strand and dropping the other to weave in on the next row. DON'T, it will leave a hole which that you'll need to close. My suggestion is to weave in a couple of stitches with both ends before dropping one to weave on the next row or to alternate ends as mentioned by Debbie below. I wove in with double ends on the next sock and didn't have an issue with bulk. I knit socks two at a time with magic loop. Great technique and hoping that it holds up to the wear and tear of socks. it just might be the game-changer for me to give up using the double knot join. Spit joins are always the way to go with 100% animal non-superwash fibers. Thank you, Stephen!!!

    I have tried this technique 2 times now and both times I have tinked or ripped out my knitting to the point of where I did the weaving in because I don't like how it "sits" in my project. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if it is just not for me. I do like your video's and your tutorials.

    I love this technique but I’m wondering if it is stable enough for something that is going to be treated roughly. I make baby blankets for charity and specifically use 100% cotton. My design allows for matching washing/drying. Does anyone know if this will survive the torture of a washer/dryer? I usually do a Russian join, but I came upon a fabulous yarn that is 11-ply!!! mercerized cotton. A Russian join just doesn’t work with all those plies and the slippiness of mercerized. The blanket I’m making is bespoke, so I’m a little hesitant to rely on this method.

  • @AnnemarieTome
    @AnnemarieTome 23 дня назад

    Instead of dropping the yarn, why not hold it in the other hand and catch it every second stitch for about 10 stitches (depending on the slipperiness of the yarn)?
