Congratulations on your first (English) video! You have made some lovely things, I like how you showed all your different fiber crafts. Your daughter’s dress is stunning! I also appreciate how you talk about what kind of yarn you have access to. I think it’s important to remember not everyone had affordable yarns from well-known brands, but we can still make people things with other brands. Please do not worry about your accent. You speak clearly and I think your accent is charming! Well done!
Hi - I live in Oregon in the USA. I have some pillowcases that my grandmother made tatted trim for the edges. I also have some tatted doilies she made. I also have two of her tatting shuttles. I have not tried it yet but your precious little heart has given me inspiration. I hope you will find time to complete all your sewing projects :-)
Thank you for this video. Your projects are all beautiful. I sew only, but admire those that can knit. The embroidery on your daughter's dress is sweet and lovely. Adding a little "something special" by hand to a garment makes a world of difference. How lucky to have a mom that brings home wonderful fabric! Love the blouse you are wearing-simple style, yes, but the fabric is beautiful. Tatting? my grandmother tatted and I have her shuttle. You inspire me to give it a try.
Thank you for your kind words! You should definitely give it a try. It took me a couple of days to be able to make my first knots and I ended up holding a shuttle differently than most of the books and tutorials teach…
Really enjoyed your video. Such lovely makes. Love your daughter's dress also. It's really pretty...nice to add a bit of embroidery. I have heard of tatting, but haven't tried it as yet. One day I might be brave enough to give it a go..Hope you do another podcast soon.😊
Your English is great! Your little girls linen with the embroidery is sooo cute! Wondering if you made the embroidery pattern or purchased? I love anything fibre!
Thank you so much! I have sketched the flowers myself inspired by some projects on Pinterest and keeping in mind the colors I had in my stash of DMC floche...
Thank you for yor video. I enjoyed seeing your projects and the variety. Your daughters dress is beautiful. What type of DMC thread did you say you used?
Thank you so much for your kind feedback! This is DMC floche. It comes in much bigger skeins than regular dmc. It is also cotton fiber but much softer and normally you need only one strand for most of the stitches. It is not available in most of the offline shops but you can order it online.
