Good morning everybody! Well after many confirmed comments, I have learned that McD's biscuits and pancakes come in pre-made and are not made in the restaurant daily. Sorry for the fake news on my part! Thanks everyone for watching and your support! I really appreciate it!

Everything fried at McDonald's is cooked in beef tallow, the oil used for the fryers is the fat that cooks off the patties on the grill. Its emptied into a syphon that filters out the chunks of food and gets cycled into the fryers from there. Biscuits are cooked from frozen, it isn't fresh. Pretty much everything is frozen, it's McDonald's. Real beef flavor from beef though, not vegetable shortening with added beef flavoring.

McDonald's biscuits come premade, frozen in a cardboard tray and wrapped in plastic. They're removed from the plastic and baked in a convection oven. The hotcakes are premade and frozen too. But I think they taste really good.

One of my favorite things to eat there. Every part of it is essentially like you'd make at home. By the way, I once worked for McDonalds and cooked this stuff. The pancakes come frozen. The store reheats them in a microwave. The eggs come prescrambled in a carton, just like you can buy, if you like that kind of egg. Sausage is sausage, cooked from frozen in the store. The biscuits come in a paper tray from a supplier. They are NOT made in store but they are heated in a rapid cook oven to brown them and brushed with butter. Hash browns are hash browns.

I worked for a McDonald's in Florida for 9 years in mid 80s to early 90s. At first we did make biscuits from scratch. But toward the end they switched to frozen. We also used to make all the eggs ourselves, went through about 12 crates of eggs per day. I remember we used to use electric blender to scramble all the eggs.
Mcdonald's switched to frozen biscuits so each store would be consistent. Depending on who made the biscuits in the morning, they could be really huge, turn out like hockey pucs, or be relatively normal.

Meh, I like Chick fil-a but their breakfast is only ok. Their chicken is top notch as always, but there are better biscuits. I almost never go there anymore for breakfast as there are just better options for way less money. As much as I hate to admit it, McD's just overwhelmingly has the best fast food breakfast selection and quality. I still prefer making my own, but on those days I'm in a hurry they are just tough to beat. Actually ever since the all day breakfast bit started, that is the only thing I'll order from them. I just don't care for anything mcD's serves since they got rid of the mcWraps.

I worked at McDonald's in the 80's my job as a weekend morning opener was to make biscuits and salads. The biscuits were made just as you said... mixed with water, hand rolled about 3 times, placed in a hot oven with 3 tray racks and 12 to a tray. The eggs were cracked and mixed by hand and scrambled to order. Hotcake batter was made adding water. Hash browns were deep fried in peanut oil. Sausage was frozen and cooked on the grill. Breakfast was the best meal of the day!!!

since i used to work at McDonald when i was 18 the biscuits come to them fully cooked and frozen, they just toss them in a over for a few min to thaw and brown them up. The sausage is just frozen then cooked on that clam shell cook top. the scrambled eggs come in a carton all blended . you would just fill a measuring ladle and pour it in a "rectangular mold" then half way through the cook you would slide it back and forth a bit and that would "scramble" the top of the eggs so it still stays in one piece. The hotcakes come frozen and are just tossed in a microwave for 30 sec..

The big breakfast at McDonald's here in Japan comes with an English muffin instead of the biscuit, which I usually just toss out. It makes me a little sad that Japan hasn't caught on to biscuits but at least the sausage tastes the same! And it's hard to find soft fluffy American style pancakes here so I'm forced to eat McDonalds hot cakes when a pancake craving hits!

Between high school and the US Navy, my son worked at our local McD's. He said that the eggs were NOT powdered (cracked fresh and scrambled or fried in a ring for Egg McMuffins and, yes, they break the yolk), and the biscuits were made fresh each morning. The dry ingredients came in a plastic bag and they added the wet ingredients and put them on the griddle. His favorite? The McGriddles--and he gained 30 pounds eating at McD's, and had to lose that 30 pounds before he left for the Navy.

I was a butcher for a very long time. I usually worked 6, sometimes 7 days a week. IF I ever had a full day off, my treat was to go to McDonald's and have a big breakfast. I always stood back away from the counter and I would wait until I saw someone counting change for their breakfast and paid for it, was usually an old married couple, there were a lot of them every morning. It was a good way to start my day. Agape love.
